after the update from august 9th the button '3 more suggestions' is removed from the routes creator on the mobile app.why did strava removed this?Now you only get 3 options to choose out of.please bring back this button or give the user more options/routes to choose of.

It's all in the title. I am specific but in general available activity types and flags should be reviewed. I am sure that it's an easy update 😉 😉

When I climb at the gym, strava records elevation gain up, and down, so I always leave with zero 0ft. Is there a setting I need to change to only record what I climbed up, and not what I roped or jumped down?

Good afternoon, It would be convenient to have a "maybe" option once a Ride or an event has been created. This would benefit the group community as it would signal who will be joining a ride and who might also be interested in joining.  I appreciate your consideration, Julien Dion

Currently an activity is shown as a uniform orange line on a map. I think it could be cool/useful to color this line on the map with a color that encodes the pace at which someone moved at each point of the activity. Eg blue = slower, orange = fasterthis would basically integrate the “pace analysis” of an activity into the map plot, and could also show some interesting correlations, like whether or not any faster/slower splits might be due to certain types of terrain.This idea could be extended into the global heat map, besides popularity it might be interesting to show relative pace differences of activities over all segments. This could be a good indicator of wether or not it’s a good place to run when building a route. If most people slows down over a certain stretch of road, odds are the terrain isn’t great there.

Is there any way to filter activities included in the global heatmap in Android app ? This would be useful as when I'm riding a bike I don't want to see ski trails.Also should the personal heat map be working in Andoroid app ? Currently it says that "Your heatmap isn't available yet. Your heatmap will generate automatically after you upload at least one GPS-based activity". I sure have upload a lot of GPS-based activities ...

I think it would be really cool to see my map with a feature to "turn on all runs" and see just how much of my area I have covered. It would encourage me to try new roads and get my town to "100% completion". Strava could even have challenges of "color in this town" or "team red vs team blue" to see who can color more in a day or a week.

I achieved a gran fondo cycling on https://www.strava.com/activities/7628874558 but I do not appear to be recognised for it as completed this month with the GF badge..Is it because of privacy restrictions? Or? I can understand partner challenges not working for privacy restrictions, but for standard strava ones seems odd... 

I am glad the issue with 3D mapping was fixed rapidly, however, live tracking/mapping is still faulty: The 2D map has only one scale for tracking. If you pinch to zoom out the blue dot stops scrolling and the map has to be constantly repositioned. Pressing the crosshairs will centre and scroll, but immediately rescales to fully zoomed in, i.e. the map should scroll with the scale I've selected.

I downloaded Strava with one intention. To beat my brothers time to hike up Ben Nevis. I Paid the annual subscription and I drove to Scotland. My brother and I had walked up a few weeks before that and ranked 5th fastest without really pushing. So we decided to come back and try again, but this time we would walk our own walk and see who could go up fastest. I beat my brother and was sat waiting for him at the top for 3 minutes. Somehow, Strava did not record it. It clearly shows my route and the time, but doesn't match it up to other people. I followed the same path as my brother and I had walked last time. My brother followed the same path as me (only a few minutes behind) and he was recognised! I don't know why this has not worked but its very annoying. I am not walking up again to prove my point, its a 6 hour drive away. If I bought a smartwatch just for that walk and it didn't work, I could get a refund. This is a simple consumer rights issue. 

I would like to see the features of the heatmap get linked to activities so I can see when I rode specific roads (re: all the rides where I was on that particular road).  It would give me a different way to review the segments on particular roads.  In addition, just like you can see google street view images over time (you can select which date of a street view image you want to see), I would like to see Strava add a play button that would show you the growth of your heatmap over time.

I would be very nice to have the ability to let Strava make a route from A to B instead of a round up route with start and finish as the same point... Sometimes I want a route from where I am in the field or road to a specific place.

There is bike rider who posts on my segments as 75+ ages. In fact he is under 19 and might be under 16 years. I asked him to correct his age but he replied that it messes up his heart rate info. Can i have him flagged or somehow get him into the right age group and heart rate?

For a few months I was running a friendly cooperative group challenge with colleagues. I set up a club for my workplace and invited people that wanted to join. The group challenges were a great way to get people involved, people were keen to know just how far as a team we could go in any given month. It was a great motivator for people to be healthyUnfortunately, I had to stop a few months later, as non-premium members only get to join 3 group challenges, you have to be a premium member to join more. This is the most artificial barrier I have witness in freemium apps. Maybe I'm missing something but its not like cash prizes can be won in group challenges, its just a virtual leaderboard that can be aggregated in different ways. Its really disappointing, and I would like to see better support for creating Stava groups for workplaces. 

Unsure if this is available in WearOS 3 as I haven't received the update yet. But in the current version, it would be very handy to link the HR to an external monitor (chest straps/forearm straps) as getting HR reads from the watch (wrist) is inaccurate in many devices and the problem worsens as the intervals shorten  

When trying to modify a route (enlarge it, drag the route to a larger or smaller area,..), the route also changes at points where I did not apply a modification. Are you able to 'freeze' a certain part of a route and only change where you want to change? Thx, Bruno

Just curious what you're using and why you like it ... I have the Apple Watch 6. It's cool. Nothing to rave about. I mainly track strength training, HIIT, walks and hikes. Only been swimming with it a few times. It pairs nicely with the Apple Health app. However, I don't use the Strava app on the watch. I like the way the Apple fitness options sync with Strava and doing a manual import vs auto. Just me.  

There's a limit to the number of new segments I can create in any 24-hour period.  I know this because I like to create identical segments from routes when I'm out on my e-bike to compare how I did against my road bike over the same segment. If a route has a lot of segments I have to create the new e-bike ones over several days (which is fine). I usually get a message that says something like "You've created too many segments. Try again in xx hours".  The time varies. Sometimes it less than 24 hours. Sometimes it's more. I've never figured out why.However, today when I went to create some segments the message I got was "You have created too many segments - try again later".I haven't created any in a good few weeks.  I've tried several times through today and I get the same message. Why am I getting this message now and what's behind this restriction anyway?Malcolm

I am under impression that upon upload from external devices Strava discards any speed data and then rebuilds from distance distance changes over time. As a result the running pace graph looks much more noisy and spiky than pace graph for the same activity in e.g. Garmin Connect. I'd say that in general it is very hard to use Strava pace graph for any kind of analysis - it is just too noisy to see any trends. Perhaps Strava should either be applying some smoothing or, when available, just use the original speed/pace data from the device. Many modern devices fuse the running pace data from both GPS and accelerometer which makes it way more stable than GPS based pace alone, and Strava should try to preserve that.  

I hiked around a lake, and had a swim in the middle. I recorded it as one activity. Once uploaded, I wanted to edit it to save as two activities - one complete Hike, and one Swim. In order to do this Iused the activity split tool (into 3)download GPX for activities 1 & 3did some GPX file manipulation to get a combined Hike GPX file (using original activities 1 & 3)deleted the 2 original Hike pieces (i.e. original activities 1 & 3)cropped the original Swim piece (i.e. original activity 2)attempted to upload the new Hike (i.e. merged original activities 1 & 3)However, it wasn't allowed. Your checking of the GPX file I was uploading said it was identical to the original Swim activity that had been uploaded. This is despite the fact that due to cropping, there was no overlap between the 2 files. This suggests that despite the splitting and the cropping, the "identical check" uses pre-split and/or pre-c

Custom heart rate zones are a subscriber benefit but it seems like they muck with relative effort calculations. They end up super wonky compared to default scores. Have you had any experience with this? Could you test it and get back to me?

Hello. I can upload photo and vidéo to my activities using wifi. But when I am using 4g mobile data, it is not working. It keep turning without uploading or progressing. Once I turn on wifi it works fine.Has anyone the same issue?
