Hi @Marya, just one more item for the hub team regarding the notifications: in addition to the previous bugs, now the notifications won't even open the actual topic they're referring to (tapping a notification only reloads the current page). That's been happening since last couple of days. I’m using iOS/Chrome if it makes any difference.

Yay, the notifications seem to work as expected now - displayed in correct order & opening the related threads. Thanks for fixing it! 👍

@Jana_S - It seems to be coming and going.  Some days it works fine, others it goes back to its “old’ ways.  Just logged in and the newest notification was a few down the list.  At least it was visible on the first scree and I didn’t have to scroll down to find it, so there is that. ;)  I also seem to periodically see a section at the top that separates the new unread notifications from the rest which is how it really should be, but that is only showing up about 1/3 of the time it seems.

Oh - so maybe I spoke too soon? In the last week, the notifications were all mixed up and clicking any of them would only refresh the page (vs. opening the related thread), and last day or two the list of notifications was completely empty. Today though, I got greeted with an actual list of actually clickable and actually recent notifications 😃 I have plenty of "unread” ones so there's a chance some are mixed up somewhere down on the list, but it seemed to work… of course, if it's still buggy then the hub team still needs to look into it, I just got excited about the improvement that I saw 🤓

Haha, yeah, I got my hopes up too, but case in point, the notification I got for this reply by you was down the notifications list about 20 spots.  It was the only new one I have and all others are already “read”.  I feel like the system has the capabilities to work properly, but it just isn’t being utilized consistently at this point.

Hi, so on the notifications - they're still scrambled and sorted totally randomly, but the “mark all as read” addition is neat, thanks 👍🙂

Two unrelated notes:

The old hub allowed ideas filtering - i.e. we could view for example a list of only ideas open for voting (gathering kudos). This option is now either missing or so well hidden that I couldn't find it - but it was really useful. Would it please be possible to add it?

Also, sometimes a thread gets quite heated and could greatly benefit from some feedback from Strava (a recent example - the segments creation thread, people would likely appreciate to hear whether the issue is already known & possibly an ETA on the fix; or the AW interrupted workout thread, which is already marked as a known issue, but again there's a lot of frustration that there's no word about a fix). And because it's understandably not possible for the mods to see everything 24/7, perhaps there could be some kind of “SOS flag” available for users to mark a topic as needing official feedback. Not sure how to implement this exactly (we obviously don't want to end up with everything being flagged as super critical 😀), but at the same time, I must say that from the user perspective, the radio silence on major issues often feels as bad as the actual issue. So if there's a way to do something about this, it would be great. Thanks!

Hello @Jana_S - thank you for a constructive and thoughtful insights, we really appreciate it!

Regards Ideas filtering, to filter existing idea submissions by status, select “Ideas” from the top of the page, then scroll down and look for the “Filter By Idea Status” option on the right side of the page. We also added this verbiage to our Guide to Ideas, so thanks for raising the question!

Regards the Know Issue threads, I am pleased to inform you that we are working on implementing an improved workflow for circling back to existing issues and providing more communication or followup related to those threads so stay tuned!

Thanks @Lola, much appreciated. I’m using this forum in a mobile browser so the filtering was a bit hidden (as a button next to the search field - I didn't think to look there, thanks for nudging me in the right direction).

One more thing - it looks like the notifications are working correctly now, I’ve had no issues for about a week or so - notifications are correctly (chronologically) ordered and open the intended discussion, yay! So I just wanted to mention it here as we’ve been bugging you with this here quite a bit 😀

Just a detail about the UI… would it be possible to move the ✔️ button under the post comments e.g. to the right? I keep tapping it accidentally instead of the 👍, because in the scenarios when the ✔️ is available, it's in the usual location of 👍 (which gets shifted).

And judging from the notifications, I’m not alone - many times I've got a notification that an answer in a thread I follow was marked as “best answer” (i. e. solution), but when opening the thread, no answer is marked as such (meaning that someone has tapped that by mistake, and then corrected themselves). Thanks for considering this! 🙂
