Hi @Marya, just one more item for the hub team regarding the notifications: in addition to the previous bugs, now the notifications won't even open the actual topic they're referring to (tapping a notification only reloads the current page). That's been happening since last couple of days. I’m using iOS/Chrome if it makes any difference.

Yay, the notifications seem to work as expected now - displayed in correct order & opening the related threads. Thanks for fixing it! 👍

@Jana_S - It seems to be coming and going.  Some days it works fine, others it goes back to its “old’ ways.  Just logged in and the newest notification was a few down the list.  At least it was visible on the first scree and I didn’t have to scroll down to find it, so there is that. ;)  I also seem to periodically see a section at the top that separates the new unread notifications from the rest which is how it really should be, but that is only showing up about 1/3 of the time it seems.

Oh - so maybe I spoke too soon? In the last week, the notifications were all mixed up and clicking any of them would only refresh the page (vs. opening the related thread), and last day or two the list of notifications was completely empty. Today though, I got greeted with an actual list of actually clickable and actually recent notifications 😃 I have plenty of "unread” ones so there's a chance some are mixed up somewhere down on the list, but it seemed to work… of course, if it's still buggy then the hub team still needs to look into it, I just got excited about the improvement that I saw 🤓

Haha, yeah, I got my hopes up too, but case in point, the notification I got for this reply by you was down the notifications list about 20 spots.  It was the only new one I have and all others are already “read”.  I feel like the system has the capabilities to work properly, but it just isn’t being utilized consistently at this point.

Hi, so on the notifications - they're still scrambled and sorted totally randomly, but the “mark all as read” addition is neat, thanks 👍🙂

Two unrelated notes:

The old hub allowed ideas filtering - i.e. we could view for example a list of only ideas open for voting (gathering kudos). This option is now either missing or so well hidden that I couldn't find it - but it was really useful. Would it please be possible to add it?

Also, sometimes a thread gets quite heated and could greatly benefit from some feedback from Strava (a recent example - the segments creation thread, people would likely appreciate to hear whether the issue is already known & possibly an ETA on the fix; or the AW interrupted workout thread, which is already marked as a known issue, but again there's a lot of frustration that there's no word about a fix). And because it's understandably not possible for the mods to see everything 24/7, perhaps there could be some kind of “SOS flag” available for users to mark a topic as needing official feedback. Not sure how to implement this exactly (we obviously don't want to end up with everything being flagged as super critical 😀), but at the same time, I must say that from the user perspective, the radio silence on major issues often feels as bad as the actual issue. So if there's a way to do something about this, it would be great. Thanks!

Hello @Jana_S - thank you for a constructive and thoughtful insights, we really appreciate it!

Regards Ideas filtering, to filter existing idea submissions by status, select “Ideas” from the top of the page, then scroll down and look for the “Filter By Idea Status” option on the right side of the page. We also added this verbiage to our Guide to Ideas, so thanks for raising the question!

Regards the Know Issue threads, I am pleased to inform you that we are working on implementing an improved workflow for circling back to existing issues and providing more communication or followup related to those threads so stay tuned!

Thanks @Lola, much appreciated. I’m using this forum in a mobile browser so the filtering was a bit hidden (as a button next to the search field - I didn't think to look there, thanks for nudging me in the right direction).

One more thing - it looks like the notifications are working correctly now, I’ve had no issues for about a week or so - notifications are correctly (chronologically) ordered and open the intended discussion, yay! So I just wanted to mention it here as we’ve been bugging you with this here quite a bit 😀

Just a detail about the UI… would it be possible to move the ✔️ button under the post comments e.g. to the right? I keep tapping it accidentally instead of the 👍, because in the scenarios when the ✔️ is available, it's in the usual location of 👍 (which gets shifted).

And judging from the notifications, I’m not alone - many times I've got a notification that an answer in a thread I follow was marked as “best answer” (i. e. solution), but when opening the thread, no answer is marked as such (meaning that someone has tapped that by mistake, and then corrected themselves). Thanks for considering this! 🙂

Ok me again… 😀

Like / vote indicator: again, it's missing for Ideas on the list of topics/posts.

When viewing the main page of the Community Hub,  or for example the Recently active topics, you can see whether you “liked” any of those posts, except of ideas. The indicator used to be there on the older version of the hub, then it disappeared after the hub upgrade, then it was added again, but recently it's been removed.

Could it please be re-added and stay for good?

Reason - I like reading all the new ideas and voting for the interesting/useful ones. But now when the like/vote indicator isn't on the list of topics, I have to open every single idea to see whether I already voted for it or not. It's much more user-friendly when the indicator is visible on the list for all kinds of topics, including the ideas.

The author names in every listing are currently wrong. After reloading they show the correct name for a fraction of a second and are replaced then by the current users name.

Yep, i’m seeing the same thing.  The main page makes it look like I am the author of every topic.  Also, I am not seeing a way to scroll or move to the next page of topics from the main page.  I scroll to the bottom of the first page and thats as far as I can go.  No buttons along the bottom to see more topics.

Hello @Jana_S , @Jan_Mantau and @anchskier - thank you all for raising these!

We are able to reproduce the issues from our side. We have reached internally to our partner vendor about all three issues (Missing “Show more Activity” button, author name issue and Ideas count issues) and will update this thread when I have any new info.

Regards not seeing more threads, workaround for now is to use the main navigation and go directly into the threads of interest (eg chat With Athletes > General Chat)

Thanks!

I would like to be able to edit my posts beyond the 5-10 minute window after posting them. Perhaps require mod approval or ability to view revisions after that point, but having the ability nonetheless.

@Jana_S - regards the Like/Vote indicator issue, we were not able to reproduce this one ourselves, nor did the Support team of our partner vendor. Would it be possible to get a screenshot of the issue along with the browser console errors (if any)? They mentioned that would help further analyze and troubleshoot the problem more effectively. Thanks!

It's working now! 😳😀 Thanks for the fix. I swear it wasn't when I mentioned that - even this morning the votes indicators were missing, but now it's ok again. I’m afraid I didn't take a screenshot but I will if it happens again. (I'm on Chrome/iOS if it's relevant.)

Hello @Jana_S , @Jan_Mantau and @anchskier - our partner vendor team has notified us that they are no longer able to reproduce the issues after fixes were implemented. Please let us know if you come across any more difficulties!

Thanks @Lola .  It appears that everything I was seeing has been fixed at this point.

This seems to be new: All pages / topics now show “Your Community Site” as a window/tab title. I’m not sure how long, I think I first noticed it yesterday (and thought it was a glitch in my browser, but it's probably not). It's quite confusing, especially if you're one of those people who have a gazillion of tabs open at the same time (or e.g. try to find a specific one among those many tabs that you've just closed).

Can the hub team please bring the tab names back please 🙂

Another item from my wishlist: Would it please be possible to add sorting of search results? Similarly as it's possible with posts lists - Recently active, Newest first, etc.

Search results can be filtered (which is great) but there is no option to adjust the order of the results - new ones are mixed with 1-2 years old posts (and the order looks rather random).

Thanks for considering this! 🙂

Great feedback, @Jana_S! We’ll definitely relay this to our vendor partner as well.
