In the Strava app (for iOS, at least), tapping on a photo from the Home Feed or from inside an activity opens a dedicated Photos View that you can scroll through vertically. In that view, every photo shows the time it was taken right below it. The problem is Strava reads the wrong metadata field for this timestamp.I do some quick, light editing on my photos before exporting them to my desktop, then uploading them to Strava. As a result, every photo I take during my hikes gets uploaded with a timestamp around 11 p.m. or midnight on Strava.It looks to me like Strava reads the File Modification Date/Time field, rather than Create Date, or Date/Time Original, or even Modify Date, all three of which are usually identical (and all three of which are available in my exported/uploaded photos). So Strava needs to change the priority of the fields it reads as the timestamp.As far as I can tell, photos uploaded from the app show the correct timestamp, even if they were edited prior to upload.Here

Hi, I have a team challenge which starts tomorrow (1st Sept) but I notice the leaderboard presents/refreshes weekly. Firstly, if I want to take a snapshot of week 1 will I have to manually capture each individual activity or is there a way to pull this? Secondly, can't I just add when the challenge is from and to so that its a constant leaderboard rather than changing? 

Just curious about the guy that’s logged in hundreds of miles of biking in less than a week in the September running challenge. He’s number 1 and he’s not running and even his biking seems to be unrealistically a huge amount. I think it’s in the 1000s of miles actually but I’m not good at metric system 

Is there a way to tap the whole activity and give kudos instead of tapping the tiny little icon? I think many people would benefit from double tapping the whole activity, instead of having to tap the tiny little thumbs up. This is because I often miss it and end up at the map or in the activity instead of giving kudos. Any solutions?

In the goals/progress area, my progress toward a mountain biking goal does not appear to update correctly.   It shows progress based on my miles completed several months ago vs miles completed to date.

The graph of my Tempo when running seems to be different on my phone or on the computer.I put them in Excel with WebPlotDigitizer and they are somewhat similar, bot not really. How can this be?      

I am from Pune - India running, cycling with reasonable distance majorly at weekends. I would like to get information about the diet, workouts to improve stamina and lower down the heart rate. Currently while running it goes up to 170-180. Please suggest. Thanks.

I received a notification "Nice Climb!" the other evening, for 280 feet of climbing, but there was no activity that would/should have generated this. I was sitting on the couch. Really oddly, the logged heart rate is dangerously high for sitting on the couch, average of 128, when my resting heart rate is high 40's. It almost seems like I received a notification that belonged to someone else. Is this a thing?

I’m doing the GNR on Sunday. Wanting to hope everything runs smooth. If I’m jogging or going at a slower pace than my normal, which is a cert with the amount of people taking part, will my Strava pause or keep going? 

I'd like to be able to search my cycling activities by one of my named bikes. In other words, I'd like "named bike" to be a search filter.

I'm trying to onboard to start using the Strava API for personal use and I'm stuck at literally step 1.Reading the documentation here, it says:Any registered Strava user can obtain an access_token by first creating an application at https://www.strava.com/settings/api.This page does not work. I see the header for My API Application, then right below it an error message that reads Something went wrong. I've attached a screenshot below. This is super discouraging that step one of onboarding doesn't work for the API.

I would like to increase the volume of the Strava notifications I get while running : for some weird reason, they are sensibly weaker than other notifications/vocal messages I get from other applications (like Garmin for example). I checked the settings, it doesn't look like there is any place I can increase those. I tried a few other apps (Adidas Running, Runmaster, etc., ) and they all are about the same volume, except Strava. The music is dimmed the same way like for the others, but the volume is about the same as the music, so it's difficult to understand the messages (like when a segment is started). Any way to improve that ?

I've created a route, now i need to find where roads, that vehicles can legally drive on, will intersect with the route.  and have those points be able to be clearly transferred to apple/google maps so aid station workers can simply drive to said points, setup an aid station and wait for the runners to show up.

My app does not handle the datastreams well if time does not start at 0. Some activities of other users have this issue. I have not been able to get this on one of my own activities.How can i replicate this in an activity to test and handle the error this causes? I am a post-grad student, studying for a Masters in Data Science.I am working on a project using machine learning tools to analyse individuals' historical training and race fit / gpx / tcx data, and to identify successful training patterns and strategies.This analysis would then be used to build and train a model to enable any runner to create their own training program, entirely personalised to their running history.At the moment, I am limited to accessing data from people that have provided it to me directly. Is there anyone at Strava that can be contacted for this sort of request?Thanks!

Users upload Fit to Strava through App authorization.The result returned by Strava told me that it was successful, but some users reported that no exercise data was uploaded to the Strava platform. What is the reason for this situation?

Bonjour je trouve dommage que l'on puisse accepter des sorties en vélo avec des vitesses a plus de 100km pour des amateurs quelconque ou des montées d'un col plus vite que des cyclistes professionnels... La plus part du temps oublie d'arrêter l'application après les sorties de vélo... Et roule en voiture après et si ça ne choque personne !!!!  dû coup les segments sont faussés... I am currently developing a mobile application and many of our users ask us if they can export their workouts to Strava.  We can post some workout data to /activities https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-Activities-createActivity through your API but, the workout data is very limited. Is there a way I can post all of the variables under https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-models-DetailedActivity to /activities or another endpoint? That would allow sending more complete data from our users to Strava.Thanks!

I’m a little confused. I am a longtime Strava paid subscriber but I don’t use community resources much. I recently started riding the VeloDrome in my town. On road rides I use both apple watch and wahoo element to track activity. What’s the best way to record inside a covered VeloDrom. It’s under an inflated dome.

I'm new to Strava and I'm trying to view my heart rate data for a workout on the website (not on mobile, my phone is no good for that). So far I can only find this one tiny panel, with no hashmarks or zones, no way to expand it vertically (although there is horizontal zoom), no cumulative stress evaluation, basically nothing. Is there somewhere else in the web app where I can see the same heart rate data with more detail and context? Thanks for any suggestions!
