In Strava Routeplanner (which STILL is not available on mobile..), there seems to be no way to temporarilly hide the planned route to see the features underneath. This needs to be added. This is almost standard practice by now if you look e.g. at Komoot or BRouter Web which both use "M" as a hotkey to temporarilly hide the route while the key is pressed.

Hi,From what I've read you are using Mapbox as the company to provide mapping and they are using OSM for surface types. I would like to ask you how often do you update your surface types in Strava Routes? I'm asking because I wonder if it's worth editing surfaces in my neighborhood so it's visible for everyone in Strava Routes. Sometimes it's quite annyoing when drawing a route, riding it and after that someones says that you could go nicer path somewhere because it is smooth tarmac and on the Routes it was marked as dirt..Cheers,Filip

I've already contacted Strava support about this issue but got nowhere.The the past couple of months the app (android , and yes already uninstalled and reinstalled and still have same issue) randomly will not save map type or commute tag, it will just save as a standard ride.So this morning whilst saving my commute ride I notice is I choose ride as commute and then set map type the app removes commute option, so I then reset ride as commute but app then removed map type choice?? Anyone else having this issue? Tom

There's nothing formal about this club, the original members met during covid lockdown rides in Montmartre and it grew from there. We revolve around a Strava private group and a WhatsApp group chat.Even though we are a private group, we tend to accept most people trying to join.That's why we have 170+ members on Strava for only 50 people in the WhatsApp group (the active members). I'd guess a lot of people have never joined a group ride. As a group admin, I'd be curious to know, for each member, when did they join the club and how many club events they joined.I think this metric "club event participation" could be a good incentive to have a more a

My phone app says my fitness is 63; my PC says it's 56. I not as interested in the absolute numbers (just the trends), I'm just surprised they don't match.On my PC the data goes back to Jan 2016 but the phone only displays back two years. Even at two years ago, the fitness numbers are different. In 2016, I was simply riding and had no power meter or smart trainer. Starting in Nov 2017, I had a smart trainer and in May this year I bought power meters. I've been using a HRM the entire time.I do understand the smart trainer and power meters will make a difference - measuring real power output vs. estimated numbers. But shouldn't this all be consistent across the two platforms?

I’m wondering if there is an etiquette surrounding the Flagging of rides.I’ve had to flag a heap of rides that took my prized KOM, over the past few months, which were clearly done when the bike was put in a car after an MTB ride with Strava still recording.last night there was another ride that looked legitimate till I saw there was no Power or Heart rate data on the last few segments…. (Road bike put in the car)I put a message on his ride to congratulate him on the ride and also ask him to crop out the bit in the car (that took my KOM)to my surprise, he came back very quickly and said he was trying to work out how to do this and finally sorted it…. KOM restored 🙌Is this the way I should be dealing with this? As opposed to just flagging the rides??

Earlier this year, I won the KOM on a segment that I've been working really hard at for over 4 years. I am constantly having to flag rides where the other athletes are using the MTB trails, up the road and putting their bike in the car, forgetting to turn Strava off, then diving home (Taking every KOM along the way).I now have a guy who has just uploaded a historical ride from 2015! where it looks like he has recorded a run but set the app to a bike ride, then driven quite a long way home, taking lots of course records. But! his account is set to "Private", and I cannot look at it on the PC to flag it. The strange thing is I can see it on my phone, but, I can't Flag it from there. What do I do now?

Most of the information on my mobile feed started not to show since 1 or 2 months. Distance, pace, elevation gain, achievements, description areas dont show on my phone which has full HD resolution but these fields are visible perfectly on my WQHD resolution phone. This problem started to occure after an update 1 or 2 months ago. Before that i had no issue with these fields on FHD display phone. Attached is the 2 different screen shots taken from my 2 different devices.   

Hey,Strava has always traditionally been focused on Cyclists, but more and more features are coming out for additional sports. I would like Strava to better support Multi sport, in both activities and athletes stats/data.One way I would like to see this done is allowing the user to set HR Zones per sport type. Currently its a one size fits all which does not fit for athletes who cycle and run.Having this support will also allow Strava to give much better relative effort data. An athlete  might make a habit of going on 2 hour cycle rides Strava sees this athlete can perform for 2 hours, but it doesn't care which sport. On another day the Athlete may go for a 20min run which exhausts them much more than the regular ride they do. But Strava doesn't care, Strava sees they have only done 16% of the work they typically do, so it marks it as a low effort, something it was not. In the Kinomap application, I cycle on indoor custom routes. I configure the routes on https://gpx.studio/ and then export and import the GPX files into Kinomap. In Strava, when I add the Indoor Cycling tag to an activity, the Elevation disappears. Why does this happen? I've noticed that there are many discussions for and against Elevation, and I'll provide an example to contribute to this controversy.In 30 minutes, I can cover 10km with 400m of elevation, and still in 30 minutes, I can cover 20km with only 10m of elevation.

This activity was started at 10:12 and ended at 10:18 and the result was uploaded at 10:22 via API to Strava. How can I achieve that 10:12 is displayed on the Strava-Website instead of 10:22? start_date and start_date_local are set.

I just got a walking treadmill and I use strava on my Apple watch to track my activities, choosing Indoor Run. I like it because I feel it's more accurate than the regular watch exercise app native to the watch. However, I don't need my followers seeing every time I walk on my treadmill for an hour, sometimes twice a day. Right now I have to go in and manually change the setting to Show: Only Me. It would be nice to we could set certain activities to default to Only Me. I think others that track their daily walking commute would probably like the same functionality.

Average power for the whole ride at the end of Power Curve is always lower than Average Power for the ride on the activity page.  Why is that?  Is it because Power Curve does not filter out stops?  Is there an option to filter out stops from the Power Curve like there is an option to exclude non-moving sections from the Average Power calculation?Thanks,Haris

The segment is this: https://www.strava.com/segments/19368887My efforts show for my stats for the segment (13) and for PRs, but when you click the Local Legends stats it shows only one female athlete as having completed the segment in the last 90 days and that person is showing only 2 efforts. I do not appear at all. I'm assuming other women have also completed this segment in the last 90 days as well.

Hello!  I've used free version and now in 30 day trial, enjoying Strava as I prepare for the upcoming end-of-July 500 mile ride across Iowa, RAGBRAI.  I'm from USA, but the activity I'm seeing of other riders is from Brazil, Turkey, and Spain.  Surprised I do not see any from USA.  I've checked my profile and it looks okay.Any ideas?Thanks!

Today when giving kudo to one person in a group activity, all people got kudos from me. Nver seen this before today. OK. No problem. However, when other people posted the ride later in the day, and I tried to add a kudos to them, it would show the kudo, but then later delete some of the kudos (some from the original automatic kudos). Every time I refreshed it seems to kudo a different set of people. This is happening with a group activity that I participated in and one that I didn't. Desktop version.
