Hi all, I joined Strava in the past year and enjoying it so far. It's great to see inline skating on the list, though the way it calculates calories burned seems a bit of a under estimate.  That aside. I've been trying to best my PR on a local climb and I noticed the top times seem to either be counted by those going down hill or if they're going up it certainly isn't without using a EV bike.  Is there a way to tag the direction of person and separate them into their own category if they're defending vs ascending.  Also allowing users to potentially flag if they suspect the leader on the board is using a EV bike? Excited to join the community -Andy

Fitness scores no longer make any sense. My fitness score seems to be stuck on a score of about 19. That is 37% down on 2 years ago, yet 2 years ago I was suffering with complications related to covid and couldn’t walk up the stairs without having to sit down or run more than 1/2k without getting out of breath, whereas now I have trained and run a marathon in 4:30 and all my pace and distance is improving. The same is true for 1 year ago - still suffering from what I now know to be Atrial Fibrillation, whereas now I am running my fastest 5k, 5 Mike, 10k, etc.      

I love seeing that I have beaten my PRs, even if I hadn't planned to, but...Is there a way (I have looked and looked) to list all of my PRs in one place so I can choose which ones I am going to go out and beat?  I am trying to challenge myself to beat ones form when I was a little younger!Thanks,Gareth

Hi all.Using a get on https://www.strava.com/api/v3/activities/, I get a list of activities.I realised that each activity in the json response is a summary of the activities, because "resource_state" : 2,So I tried to tried to get the detailed representation.Which you can get using /activities/{id}.But for that, you need the ID.OF course, I can get the ID from the first query, and then re-query using the ID, but I'm wondering if there is not a simpler way.For instance a way to get a list of ID directly, and then using that list to get the detailled representation.Thanks for any hint!  

Some days the Leaderboard shows "Today" results for each segment of my ride and some days it does not.  Does anyone know why "Today" doesn't always appear and is there a setting I need to change to always see Leaderboard  results for "Today" after my ride?

Been using STRAVA on my iPhone the last six weeks or so after returning to cycling from a years-long hiatus. I'm 74 now, STRAVA default tells me my Max Heart Rate is 190, which is absurd. How do I go about altering that little bit in my Profile on the phone app to reflect a more modest 160 or so? I can sustain 120 for a few minutes now, touch 150+ briefly w/no issues. It's the proportional representation of max vs. endurance periods I want to have presented with more accuracy.

On June 22/23 for some users of our app the upload failed for FIT files with swimming data. The response error when uploading the FIT file was:status: 404 error: {"message":"Record Not Found","errors":[{"resource":"resource","field":"path","code":"invalid"}]}Without any change on our site, the problem disappeared on June 24. The same swimming data FIT files that caused the 404 error could be uploaded succesfully. So it looks Strava fixed it.But yesterday (June 29) or the day before, the problem happened again. And it continues today. Not for all users who upload swimming data FIT files, but for some of them, in different countries on different continents.We reported the issue to Strava, added a concrete example (user id and time the problem happened) and the response was that they couldn't look into it. Because we don't know the source of this issue, and we can't reproduce it ourselves, we hoped that Strava would have a look into their log files, but it seems they don't want to do this

Hello.When I plan a route with Strava, I can see the route as a line on the map. This no longer works. If I change the view to satellite or hybrid, the route disappears and there is no editable line (route). Mac OS X. Safari & Firefox.Is there a solution to this? Thanks a lot!

When I go to the gym, I record my workouts on the Apple Watch Strava App... If I forget to 'Finish' and 'Save' the recording before I take the watch off to shower, then it doesn't sync and effectively disappears... Is there someway to keep the recording so that when I put the watch back on it will sync then??

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, I find the Strava challenges as a good motivation to get out and about. I have noticed that I am seeing less challenges and only ones recommended for me. Is there anyway if accessing more random challenges like there used to be? It may be that I am not a premium account holder.Hopefully someone can advise.Thanks

Is there an easy way to determine how old a segment is? If not, could it be added to each segment e.g. creation date?

Hi all, I have been a full member for a number of years but only recently started to use the detailed analysis screens. I have an indoor trainer and an e-bike. Is there a way I can filter the power curve by activity type? In other words, exclude the virtual bike when I want to see  only the power curve of my outdoor rides and vice versa? I'm sure the two power meters are giving slightly different readings and skewing the results, it would be interesting to compare them against each other, Thanks in advance,

Strava recently added Local Legends for all foot-base activities, which was a great addition. Unfortunately, it seems you forgot to add a “Segments” tab to Snowshoe activities, even though those activities qualify for competing on segments. Snowshoe: Hike: Seems like a bug to me. A fix would be much appreciated 🙂

I have developed an Android bike computer and my users wants to be able to send live location data to their family or love ones. Such that they can be tracked. Just like Strava Beacon function. As the Strava Beacon function exists I would like to have an API which can be used to post live location data every x minutes/seconds if an activity is started. Such that the my users can use the beacon functionality of Strava. It would be nice if all Strava users can have a unique link which can be reused for each activity. Possibly with privacy settings options (public visible or only for Strava followers or only Strava Beacon followers e.g.) Benefit for Strava is that users should be a Strava Subscriber to be able to use the function. So possibly more subscribers for Strava. Benefit for me is that I do not have to develop this kind of functionality.

We are working on our webhook implementation, and are finding that after the create POST, photos are not available when we do a GET to the getActivityById endpoint. Assuming this is a timing issue, it would be great to have them as part of the update fields in an update POST. Right now the getLoggedInAthleteActivities endpoint is more consistent than webhooks and the data provided for both create and update events - we'd love for that to be swapped so we can deliver a better experience for our users.

Since yesterday, I haven't been receiving any new activity events. I attempted to delete my subscription and re-subscribe, but I am now only receiving a "bad request" message from Strava. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi all,I have a request. Is it possible to expose the Fitness & Freshness metrics via the Strava API? Currently these metrics can only be seen on the Strava website/App. 

I received three activity from one person. However, all its values are the same, perhaps the only similarity here is activity_id and polylines_id. Can you check for me and give me the reason? Thank you for your help 

Strava showing when I am trying to post, "Creating Posts is temporarily disabled. Please try again later." Why I am seeing this?
