It seems a recent change for user profiles (web version) was made in which data under "side by side comparison" is hidden when the user being viewed hasn't uploaded an activity for a few months. (I'm not sure what the exact timeframe is.) It's this way even for people I'm following. I wonder if someone could enlighten us as to why this was done, or if it was inadvertent, can it be corrected? (Or is it in their settings and I just don't know what I'm talking about?)

Hi all.I have a django app that connects to Strava through oauth.When I set the authorisation up, a while ago, I used the defaults that are detailled here , which means that the scope of my access token is read.At that time, I did not know exactly what I would need, so it was fine.But as my app progressed, I realised that the read scope prevented me from getting any ride data that falls under my privacy settings.So I wanted to update the scope to read_all and to add activity:read_all also, to get all the data. But I have not been successful at all at modifying the scope of my access token.I' ve tried to create another one (including following https://developers.strava.com/docs/authentication/ ) byt when I check on my settings/api page, the scope is still read.Strangely enough, I now have two tokens that I can use to connect, but the one with extended scope works only when I curl, not when I use django.I have run out of ideas on how to either delete my current access token and crea

We have an iphone and watch os app and would like for our users to be able to connect to strava such that their workouts automatically upload from our app on their device to our server and then from our server to strava (all automatically once they have connected their strava account to their account on our server).  Concept 2 does it this way for their ergData app using their online logbook. We are looking for what code or setup would be best for connecting their Strava account to their account on our server and then how their workouts would get automatically set to strava. In addition and similar to what Concept 2 does we'd like to also send a generated jpeg with the upload to strava that shows their workout interval summary information. Any guidance or help is greatly appreciated.

Hi It's not clear from the email what will happen if apps aren't submitted for review, will the app lose access to the API or just to support or something else?

I am doing bike training on an ergometer and recording it with my Garmin. Obviously no distance is recorded. The activity itself with time and heart rate is in Strava but without the distance which is anoying as those 1000 km this year I did in the gym are not visible. Why can’t I manually enter the distance as it is possible in Garmin Connect?

I'm trying to invite Strava members I follow to join the Strava club (group) I created; however, I'm having a couple of problems: Not all of my follows are found by the "Invite Athletes" function After clicking the "Invite" button, I'm getting an "infinite hourglass":  

On rides, would it be possible to add a graph indicating average moving speed over time/distance?The reason for this request is that I’d like to see (say) that my average moving speed changed over the course of a ride.  For example, plodding along at 15 miles per hour for each of the first 3 hours and then hitting the wall and dropping to 5 miles per hour in the last 10 miles.

I started encountering a problem yesterday, where, using the Strava web interface, I’m unable to open a segment page by tapping on that segment in the overview. It gives me the correct segments and accurate data, but will not open up the webpage or provide the top 10 list. It just starts spinning wheels where that supposed to be. Any ideas?

Like most of you (i'm sure), i'm a long term Strava user across multiple sports and activities including running, hiking, cycling, E-Mountainbiking, Analogue Mountainbiking etc.I have recently begun tracking a new activity.. ELECTRIC FLIGHT!As a part of my pilot journey, learning to fly in an ELECTRIC recreational aircraft, i have started logging my E-FLIGHTs with Strava. I'm hoping Starva can accommodate me and other electric aviators with an E-FLIGHT activity category soon so we can fine-tune our clubs and growing community of zero-emissions aviators.I'd love you see your comments or Kudos on some of my routes and images from the sky!

Hi Folks, Trying to use the API to upload activities recorded by a Chinese Bicycle Computer, that junk product cannot automatically upload data to Strava, so I have to write a script to get those fit files via adb, and then upload them to strava via api. However I got response like this: Upload failed: {"message":"Authorization Error","errors":[{"resource":"AccessToken","field":"activity:write_permission","code":"missing"}]} I used scope = ['activity:write'] when getting an access_token, and I found out I always get the same access token whatever I set the scope to be. That access token is also the one showed on https://www.strava.com/settings/api, under that I can see scope: read, just like https://communityhub.strava.com/t5/developer-discussions/authentication-scope/m-p/6357. In order to upload fit files I need a token with "activity:write", but I cannot find anywhere to change the scope of my access token. Of course I tried to solved this b

Anyone else noticing that the number of achievements noted at the top of a ride (summary) is often different from that noted in the segment section?? What’s up w that. Used to always match. Have only seen this in the past year.  

I've recently moved to the next age category on Strava.Since my birthday, none of my rides show me as being in the new category.  I can see my previous rides in the earlier category but when I look in the new category, instead of giving me a position on the "leaderboard" it shows a bland, such as   -/ 345Any suggestions?

Hafa Adai from Guam!  Looking for some help.  We have a goal of hosting a virtual 100 mi run spanning 1 month.  The virtual 100 is the sum total of all miles/segments completed during the month. What is the best way to track this for all members with Strava?  Simply using the Clubs leaderboard?  Or, can an event be configured to span 30 days?  I only see that events are for a single day...   Appreciate your help in advance!

Hello everybody, I would like to livestream my first half marathon on Twitch. To make it more fun, I would like to display some real-time information about my race (heart rate, time per km, distance traveled...) by retrieving this information from the Strava application on my Apple Watch. Do you think this is possible? Hi. I have a relatively new Strava account. In my 'Connected Apps' section of the app, I can see Strava as a connected app. In my Strava app, I can see under 'Link to other services', my Garmin Connect is set to sync automatically. On my Garmin Venu 2 (and within the app itself) I can see my activities. So, why are my Garmin activities not syncing i.e. why can't I see my Garmin activities in Strava? I have asked Garmin and they said it is set up properly, so speak to Strava... Speaking to Strava isn't easy so thought I'd ask here...  

In the aftermath of a group activity with people not on my feed I enjoy seeing that little title text they have set, if they did not just keep the default. That's often an indication of which activities to take a closer look at (pictures!), and the primary outlet of user creativity in Strava. Also, seeing those titles is a good indication of which peers to eventually follow because they put in effort to make their feed entertaining.This feature exists in the browser implementation, so it can't be a privacy consideration. But it's missing in the android app (and I imagine that it used to exist in an older version of the app). Currently the layout of the "manage group" dialog pullup reserves a line of screen space fo the location set in the profile (often empty), but that's not half as interesting as the title text.

I'm using Strava on Android, and until the last couple of days have just been using the free version which I'm finding very good and has suited my needs. I've now got a a subscription preview, but on loading the App today when I went to record the screen where the map shows was black, with no route appearing on it. I usually use it with mobile data off (limited data, and quite frankly no desire for it to be on permanently) and it shows a blurry map which is perfectly fine for my purposes (to show it's picked up where I am and relate it to my route so far). Turning mobile data on did result in the map appearing (sharply as it would have done beforehand). I don't use Strava for navigation. The only other thing I've done in the meantime is switch off a few notifications, not ones I'd been getting anyway, and nothing I think should be affecting the screen above. So my feed is peppered with unsolicited check out this run you did 3 yrs ago / 5 yrs ago etcstrava say you can’t turn it off. I got injured 3 yrs ago have had several surgeries and can no longer walk further than about 3 miles never mind run. I can cycle though so I still use Strava. It’s just so distressing to be constantly reminded of the thing that I love that I CANNOT do and I have no way of turning it off. Ridiculous.
