The Segments page in the app and on the site formerly featured my route map above the column of segments. This was extremely useful. It allowed me to see exactly where each segment was located within the route. The map is now gone. No reason given. Why would you kill this essential bit of your UI?Why are you degrading useful functionality?

I ride over a certain stretch of road often and have been trying to create routes that use this same stretch of road, but the Strava route builder will detour me tens and thousands of climbing feet out of the way.  The problem is that the road source used in the route map has a stretch of road incorrectly identified as motorway.  What is the best way to fix this?Here's a bit of context.  The road is Pacific Coast Highway in California just south of Las Posas.  This is about 40 miles WNW of Santa Monica.  Pacific Coast Highway is a main cycling thoroughfare connecting the Los Angeles area to Oxnard/Ventura.  Just south of Las Posas the road splits into two travel directions with a pronounced divider.  It looks like a motorway, but the speeds are still 55 mph.  The first offramp is Las Posas and cyclists exit here to continue north.  Because OSM had a short section of PCH labeled as a motorway cyclists were routed through the Santa Monica moun

I'm trying to get some information of public activities but seems to be not easy.As spectated, work with my activities but not with public activities, using scope activity:read_all not working.Using activities with scope activities:read or read_all i cant access to activities of other athlete and with streams i can access to one key only, but not all data in one request.I'm doing something wrong or there is not possible?Thanks you

In looking to see if Strava was worth it, I couldn't dind a clear list of free ca paid features, but found an article about privacy and that I have to opt out of everything. Every. single. option. to allow or deny a privacy permission defaulted to sharing data except the health data option. I'm giving Strava a try to possibly replace Google's Fitbit before they completely butcher it. This privacy thing is a huge turn off. Is it worth staying if I stay on the free license? I'm just interested in biking, and maybe discovering new routes locally.

I have been using a Fitbit Inspire HR and two running apps - Nike Run Club Strava app on my phone for a couple of years now. neither app will take in the Fitbit heart rate data. I set up the Stava/Fitbit integration. if I start a run on Strava it will show up later on Fitbit. But it won't show the HR data. I saw a suggestion that if you start the run on the Fitbit app, that will push the data to Stava. Not for me it won't. 😞 Any ideas?

Can it be made easier to input your actual weight via the app? I am in the 124lbs and under category but when I look at the leaderboards I see that many people are clearly far heavier than that.  can people then be reminded to enter their correct weight ?

I like recording my indoor rock climbing sessions with Strava and Apple Watch, as it doesn't record location, and I just get the heart rate.  Sometimes, I forget my Apple Watch and record with my iPhone, at which Strava records location.  Why is there a difference in behavior depending on the device you use?  Even if it's not recording heart rate, I do not like how there is a difference in the how the activity is recorded.  Is there any way to change the behavior of the iPhone?

Being a paid subscriber, I've been exploring the use of Suggested Routes in my area via the Strava app. Every suggested route from my home location includes a very unsafe, high-speed, high-traffic road with no bike lane or paved shoulder when the option for a safer route nearby exists. If Strava has the ability to "follow most popular" segments when building routes via the website based off heatmap data, why can't Strava incorporate this type of AI to create suggested routes from the app that map to the "most popular" segments? This would likely avoid segments/roads with little or no heatmap activity and keep cyclists off more dangerous routes. In the attached image, suggested routes include the road circled in red EVERY time. The safer route would be in green.A similar suggestion was made here (https://communityhub.strava.com/t5/strava-features-chat/unsafe-routes/m-p/2081), but the logic of my suggestion is a bit different and would be easier to implement, I think, and would be more "

I have made training works using my Garmin fenix6 with Wahoo Smart kickr and my previous real activities (as a course). After completion, the Garmin uploaded  the exercise to Strava  but without map. The problem is: when followers give my kudos, Strava send me email including a image of map (see picture #1), exactly as stored in Garmin connect (see picture #2).This make me thinking that whole data of my exercise  has been uploaded completely. How to see this map on in Strava? Please help.

I have invested in my first ever smart watch (Mobvoi TicWatch and 5) after discovering my Garmin in the washing machine. I wanted to list a number of bugs, ideas, obervations to see if anyone had a response to any.Issue. There is no way to have Strava 'Always on' so when you glance at your watch you can see pace/time/etc. You have to interact with your device to see this.The way round the above it is to have an alternative 'Amoled' display switched on so when you twist you wrist this appears. Problem is that the app has a BUG that only shows one screen (time/distance) and the screen to pause/end your run is blank. I therefore have to restart my watch to end the run.UX idea. Have a haptic/ping when you have hit a mile/km/time marker on your watchUX idea. Provide more info of your run very limited data view here even for a novice runnerI know WearOS3 is pretty new but some simple updates to the watch app will go a long way. Anyone else having problems with route planning?  Since last week, creating running routes has been problematic, with routes diverting off from roads even when 'follow most direct' is selected.  It's making route planning a pain, wondered if it's a known issue for others?

My understanding for segments is that you have to ride the segment yourself and use only your GPS track to create the segment.  Due to multiple variations in GPS tracking devices, it would be nice to be able to edit the track to reflect the majority of users route, or to accurately match an existing trail.   I'm a trail builder as well as an administrator for adding trails in certain regions and would like to be able to create the segment as close to the trail as possible and not be dependent on my single GPS tracking as it is often off.  To this effect I would also like to be able to create segments on trails similar to creating a Route without actually using a recorded GPS track.  I would assume with the STrava database of Topography and mapping that it should be able to give an accurate reflection of elevation changes, etc. Secondly, it would be nice to be able to show a listing of all segments in a given area in tabular format and exportable into csv/e

While Strava is at it might as well make it so we can mark on an activity if something was a PR, the time, and the distance. The automatic records are nice but they are usually wrong since GPS watches aren’t always accurate.

Hey, I have started working with Strava API and on the beginning I have problem. I authenticate from my app using scope: read_all,profile:read_all,activity:read_all, I can get all my activities but when I'm trying to get one I have 404. I use http get on https://www.strava.com/api/v3/athlete/activities/{id}?include_all_efforts=true where id is number which I take from previous request about list of activites. I use id property from item. I have seen in examples that id is longer than I see on my activities (for example my is 9158500198 but in examples numbers are longer like 123456778928065). What can be a problem?

Hi, the mobile app used to have the functionality when viewing media (either mine or another athlete) to go straight to the activity. For example, you see they've taken a picture at the top of a famous climb so I'd like to view the activity to see the route, comments, etc. This is no longer available but I just noticed today that it is available on the website. Why is this not available on the app? I imagine most users use the app now rather than the website so this seems a strange change. Maybe unintentional? Thanks, Steve.

My old Strava account was linked to Facebook (log in with FB). I deleted my FB account and now whenever I open the iOS app I get an error message reading: "Your access to the Strava platform has been suspended."Deleting the app and re-installing doesn't change anything. Accessing settings in the app leads to a black screen.I'm okay if the account is gone and data is lost--what I'm more concerned about is being able to still use the app! Right now it is in a state where I can't log in with any account.Note: the account I'm using to create this thread is unrelated to the issue.

I'm trying to grab my total amount of activities via Strava API. I see that this endpoint:strava.com/api/v3/athletes/<athlete id>/statsProvides some stats like all_ride_totals, all_run_totals and all_swim_totals but I don't see the total amount of activities. Is this amount in another endpoint that I'm not familiar with? I can see this total on my profile dashboard (see screenshot), so I'm assuming that has to be somewhere.  

I ran a PR on the 5k today.On the activity itself, it says 5k PR 24:00...On the All Time section under profile it says 23:59 from the same activity.Why the difference?

I’ve recently received several notifications for lost QOMs for rides I’ve never done. They’re even in states where I’ve never ridden.  The rides, however, don’t show up on my Strava history.  Any suggestions?

Hey, suddenly my strava account has been 'doubled' all my rides are shared with another account and also uploaded there but it makes for difficulty trying to upload my rides to my account. Does anyone know how to fix this? You can check my strava: Frank Rademake, all rides have an exact copy of mine in the 'group activity'

Is anyone else encountering a 502 Bad Gateway error when attempting to upload an activity using TCX data? While it was previously functional, the system is now displaying a message saying "Strava is temporarily unavailable. Please visit http://status.strava.com for further information. We appreciate your patience."Interestingly, the status page indicates that all systems are functioning normally, leading me to question whether there could be limitations placed on my usage or perhaps another underlying issue. It's worth noting that my code is unlikely to be the problem, as it has functioned without issue in the past. Im using it solely for testing purposes at the time before making it production ready in my application and filling in the forms for a review. The client id and secret is only shared between me and another developer so we can test it out on iOS and Android.
