Is there any documentation on exactly what is counted under "Read Rate Limits" vs "Overall Rate Limits" ?https://www.strava.com/settings/api includes little (?) links next to each, but they both link to the same page which does not mention Read vs Overall.We're assuming read is pretty much any call to GET athlete/activities or activities/.../stream, but it would be nice to confirm - the overall rate limit we have is five times the read limit, and we have no idea what we would do with so many write calls 🙂Thanks

I'm hitting an issue where the activities api is behaving unexpectedly.  I can curl and retrieve details for many activities but I'm having an issue with indoor cycle activities from Wahoo.    curl -H "Authorization: Bearer ***" https://www.strava.com/api/v3/activities/9186799911 {"message":"Resource Not Found","errors":[{"resource":"Activity","field":"","code":"not found"}]}   Is there something different I need to do to get an api query for a cycle activity from Wahoo working?  Running the same command against https://www.strava.com/api/v3/activities/9187552481 gives the expected result. 

Why has Strava removed the distance behind/ahead of pace for goal targets?!? Very disappointingPLEASE BRING IT BACK

I am working on a React application and am using the Strava API to retrieve an athlete's activities. It is working successfully except for some reason it isn't returning Virtual Rides.   I have been testing it by manually creating Virtual Rides on strava.com, but these rides are never being returned by the API call. The Virtual Rides I have been creating have their visibility set to "Everyone", so I don't believe it's a privacy issue.   Again, the API call is returning normal Rides just fine; it's just not including Virtual Rides. Why not?   Here's a code snippet:   "return axios.get(`https://www.strava.com/api/v3/athlete/activities?access_token=${user.access_token}`, { headers: { Accept: "application/json", Authorization: "Bearer " + user.access_token, }, } );"  

Is there any way to get to the full activity stream from specific friends, from an API perspective? It seems like API: https://www.strava.com/api/v3/activities/{id}/streams?keys=watts only works for your own activites.However, the full activity is available through the website (with cookie authentication):https://www.strava.com/activities/9297562809/streams?stream_types%5B%5D=latlng&stream_types%5B%5D=privacy&stream_types%5B%5D=time&stream_types%5B%5D=heartrate&stream_types%5B%5D=altitude&stream_types%5B%5D=distance&stream_types%5B%5D=moving&stream_types%5B%5D=velocity_smooth&stream_types%5B%5D=cadence&stream_types%5B%5D=watts&stream_types%5B%5D=watts_calcIf this is available on the website, why isn't on the API side?thanks,

Is there a way to edit mileage from runs on a cruise ship?  I've done a few runs while out at sea on the ship's jogging track and my mileage gets way overstated though my times are fantastic.  I'd like to be able to back down the mileage to make my times as accurate as possible.

Hi, I'm evaluating the purchase of an annual subscription, I'm Italian, but I'm looking to move to Germany next year... I know that in Germany the cost of subscription is higher, and I'd like to know if my annual subscription purchased in Italy will be usable when (and if, I'm not 100% sure at the moment) I move to Germany... I've searched info regarding this matter (other country also) but I haven't found anything...Thank You

I've been using Strava for some time, but this is my first post to the Campfire Chat. I usually use my Coros watch and upload after training, however, in the near future I hope to do a multi month hiking trip. Depending on battery life I'll likely stick with using Strava to measure my hikes via the app on my phone. If my phones battery starts to die I'll likely use my Coros watch. My issue is that I won't be able to access the internet for days at a time. So I wonder, can the Strava app keep track of my hikes and upload them when i have wifi. If so how many can the app store?I could foresee myself needing to store 7 days of hikes, potentially with each day comprising about 12 hours of hiking. Many thanks in advance. 

A new user has appeared in my area in the last few weeks.  They have recorded quite a few activities, mostly as Mountain Bike Rides, and almost all have been flagged due to infeasible high speeds.  The speeds have been high enough to be dangerous to other road users - such as 60 mph on a street with a limit of 30 mph and today it was over 100 mph (for about a mile on a flat road) where the speed limit is 70 mph.  I worry that Strava might be used by people boasting about the high speeds they can achieve with motor bikes or cars.  Simply flagging such activities doesn't seem to be enough - can Strava do something to stop this reckless and dangerous behaviour ? I think I saw somewhere that Strava would remove accounts showing inappropriate behaviour, but I don't know how this works in practice.

Hi. Rather than toggling back-and-forth between the map screen and the statistic screen, I would like to have a split screen with the map on top and the stats below. Unfortunately, that only happens when I pause my ride. As soon as I get going the entire screen is either all map or all stats, and I have to physically toggle back-and-forth, which can be difficult to do while mountain biking. Any suggested solutions? I’m using the free access (I’m not a subscriber, yet). Thank you.

I did the wolvwerhampton to Aberdovey bike ride yesteday but had a few mechanical and need a 15 miles lift, can you crop the middle of a ride with out loosing either end?

I wanted to report an issue that I observe from time to time on my activities. Occasionally, when I finish a run and upload it to Strava it shows that I have some achievements there. Then I open the run and look at the list of segments and see a smaller number of achievements there.For example, today I had two achievements shown in the feed - two second best efforts on segments. But the list segments shows only one second best effort. In the past I assumed that could be due to hidden segments. But if I look at hidden segments on the web, I get yet another number of achievements, that is different from the number of achievements in the feed.It would be good if Strava engineers sorted this out. 

My kids race mountain bikes and send me their strava beacon. I'm hoping to be able to pull their real time location data (and maybe their teammates) and put it on a map where the family members who are at the race can see where everyone is on the course. Picture beacon as it is now but with multiple riders on the screen at once. I might be missing this somewhere but I cant tell if the Get Activity Streams would be able to give me the strava location data in real time. I tried using the Swagger Playground (and the API via postman) but I cant figure out how to get the activity ID of an activity that is currently being recorded. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello EveryoneLastnight i successfully set up my app using the Getting Started Guide. I was able to setup Postman and connect.  I used to OAuth and got the code and was able to view all my activities on Postman and on this Strava API tutorial.  https://youtu.be/sgscChKfGygToday however nothing works. Im sure its bc my access token is expired but I cannot figure out how to refresh it.  Ive tried the tokens from my Strava API page and the new tokens i got from the OAuth yesterday on Postman to no avail.  I can re-run the OAuth url and get a new code but and it returns new tokens but they dont work.I appreciate any help.

I want to create a data visualization personal project for fun. I want to make an interactive map to display public segment data. To compare personal times with others. Also to possibly highlight locals who have great times throughout the city (Im from NYC and want to only use segment data from the city).While doing my initial research for this problem I see many posts and forums talking about how Strava doesn't  let you get this data anymore even if you're a paid user(I am a paid user). Is this true? Or am I seeing info on something else and getting myself confused?I really just want data on times and perhaps usernames(or athlete ID if usernames aren't allowed).If anyone knows about this please let me know if this is possible.Thanks for your time while reading this and any help you could throw my way!!

Hello, When getting an activity at `/api/v3/activities/9250597099` only the "primary" photo is returned. I have seen there is an endpoint `/api/v3/activities/9250597099/photos` but it only returns "placeholder" images.. Is there any way to retrieve all photos? I have basically requested all scopes..  "read","read_all","profile:read_all","activity:read","activity:read_all", but that didn't seem to change anything.. thanks,  Herbert    

As you can see on the screen below, I can not see last week achievements. I tried to click at date of calendar but can not see any thing. And I can not see monthly tag also. I set all privacy to public already. Could you please instruct how to display monthly task?Thank you.

Hi I have been using Strava for some time now mainly for road biking, and is superb, but recently I have add a MTB rides for more variety! So my suggestion is to add an separate leader board for elevation. The reason for this is MTB rides are shorter and cannot much road rides , so MTB riders can't compete with road riders for distance , but they can much elevation! Recently I have done 63 miles ride with nearly 3500 ft elevation ( road) and few days later MTB ride 30 miles and similar elevation! I think that will be a perfect add two leader boards one for distance second for elevation so clubs/ riders can achieve something in a different way. Maybe someone cover that topic before, just my thoughts now, much appreciated for any replies and support! 

In Germany it is not possible to get products from „the feed“ so it would be better not to offer the challenge from „the feed“  because I made this challenge and tried it out to get the reward. But it wasn’t possible. Somethings couldn’t generally not shipped to Germany, other products like the Strava bottle only with horrible shipping fees. Greetings & hope that someone can do something 

All those challenges, lets use the strava challenges as examples..... I used to see them all in my feed the minute they came out, I also used to see when everybody else had joined a challenge. Now if i want to join a challenge, I have to go and look for it? Why is this? what has changed with the challenges? Have you made them location based?

Hi is there a way to group multiple rides with say a tag, so that you can view the totals as well as the individual data/statistics? 

Locked out my Strava can’t remeber password and email address is no longer in use oh and trying to get someone at Strava to assist is impossible!!

Sorry if this type of post is not allowed or is in the wrong spot. I just joined this forum, because I wanted to express my confusion for why there is no medal image or trophy image when scrolling through an activity’s segments. It just says PR or 3rd overall in for monotone boring fashion. What!?! It’s super hard to read the segment list now and you have to physically read each thing instead of scroll until you see a gold medal or trophy. Is this a glitch on my end or some new feature?
