I have new strava profile.  Why in search conntact not showing my prifile?

Hi,  My daughters name does not appear on the leaderboard for a certain Segment. Is it because of her age? She can see on her run analysis that she has clocked a time on the segment but her name does not appear on the overall list. Regards Ivan

Received an email from Strava today telling me to sign in to my account as I’d not used it for some time or it would be closed. I’m in the app almost daily. It also said that it might be for a different account. I’m confused.

A recent change to user profile of the web version presents a column heading indicating "Total efforts", but the data being shown is the number of members who have traversed the segment.  As a member may cross the segment numerous times, these are two different values... number of people and number of attempts.  Can this be corrected?   Either the heading or the data in the field. Thanks...   

Hi. I would like to keep the analysis (altitude, speed, cadence, power and power fields) visible for an upcoming cycling activity and only turn the map (i.e. the location of the activity) invisible. Is this possible? I tried this on a test basis with a friend. After he turned off the full map on map visibility, the "show analysis" function was also gone.It would be great if there was a solution for this. Thanks!

Currently the create event webhook contains a field event_time. Adding another field with the start time of the workout would make it possible to check whether the application has received the workout from another source (e. g. garmin) already. That would allow developers to further save api calls to get the activity.

The price increase in google play cannot be confirmed. As soon as the pop-up dialog "confirm identity" appears, nothing else happens. Tried with multiple browsers (chrome, firefox, edge, opera) and devices (Windows PC and Android).

I’m using the Strava api’s and having the free subscription, I need to calculate the burned calories of the activity/sport I’m doing,But I didn’t find any api to fetch all the sports/activities, do anyone suggest any api where I can give the activity name/ sport name like running, swimming, HIIT etc with the time duration and in response it can provide the burned calories in the time period.

why aren't the segments of MTB and eMTB not the same? it's easy, just create 2 different rankings for each segment, one for MTB and one for eMTB. me and my friends who switched to eMTB, we realized that there are very few segments marked for eMTB, less than 10% compared to those for MTB.

Does anyone know how to access photos during route creation? For example I am working on a new trail run route and I can see photo icons on the map. But there doesn't seem to be a way to click the photo to see it. If I click (or cmd click or ctrl click) it adds the photo location to my route.Seems like I am missing something simple - these photos would help me with navigating the planned route.

Hi those interested and knowing.I've only recently realised that "auto excluded efforts" is a thing since around March 2022. I thought it was bad gps data when some of my efforts went missing but retrospectively many were auto axed.Today I did a really hard effort following another bro going downhill and almost broke my PR for a short downhill segment, also a record I've been trying to beat every chance i get and consistently hitting the same times.There are others who went the same speed on the day but as far as i can see they don't have estimated watts whereas mine is estimated at 1200W max, i don't have a powermeter and obviously sitting behind a rider makes going faster easier so i question this metric and how strava calculations got there. I use a Garmin products, Edge 130, cadence and wheelspeed sensors.I'd like to know on what basis and which rules these excluded efforts are calculated?!The segment has an obviously broken first place and the next 5 spots are all 90km at 30s, so

This is a privacy concern (hence Apple prompts to allow / disallow access). But why is Strava trying to access my local network at all? There's no reason for it to be rooting around my WiFi.  Have Strava maybe accidentally used third party code which is maybe a bit malicious? 

If I want to record an cycling activity on my iPhone I tap on the 'record' symbol. Since the last update the default activity is set to 'running'. Then I have to manually change it to 'cycling'. This is irritating me and I wonder if there is a setting where I can change the default to 'cycling'?Thanks!

Dear Moderators and Forum Readers, We are using the Strava API since years in our product. We are utilizing the detailed activity streams as well. In the API reference the structure of the response of activity streams are described in good detail, however there is nothing said on how the data shall be interpreted (e.g. an entry in the ,,velocity_smooth'' is 1.0m/s what does it mean, is it the actual speed on a given time or an average of a longer time period?...). We see a lot of various ,,formats'' for these streams: for some users and activities, there is a data record for each second, in some cases, we have records for every few seconds. We can see also sparse formats, with only a few record for the entire activity, or even having data records for every second, except a few, large periods without any data record. This makes implementing a general solution for interpreting the data really hard. My question is, that is there any good and detailed description about how to interpret the

I've been running into this very problem and now have 22 unsynced activities that never seem to sync. I tried clicking on the unsynced activities banner to open that export page pictured above, but it just flashes like it's trying to open a menu and then closes it directly again; so I can't get to the export. I've tried restarting my phone, but that didn't change anything. Interestingly it seems to sync "runs" just fine, but "rides" on the bicycle appear to be the ones that it won't sync. I'm on version 297.8 (1229074) which appears to be the latest version and I'm on Android 11 on Pixel 2. Is there a fix in the works for this? I'm not sure if I should cut my losses and try reinstalling the Strava app (losing those 22 activities) or if there's any hope this will be resolved at some point so they can sync? Is there anything else to try? Thanks for the help!

I recently purchased an Apple Watch (yay for me). Unfortunately, it seems to have “broken” things.  Prior to the Watch, all workouts recorded in Strava, be they native Strava recordings of runs, or cycling workouts (indoor and outdoor) reported from TrainerRoad or Wahoo were all synched back to the Health app in Apple.  Since I purchased and set up the Apple Watch, the Apple Health app is not receiving ANY workouts from Strava, even those recorded in the Strava App for the Watch. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling Strava on the phone, rebooting, and all of the steps here (https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917527-Health-App-and-Strava).  I’ve a ticket open with the help desk, but have not heard back yet. Closely related, would love the Action Button on my Ultra to be able to launch Strava.

On my Garmin Forerunner 255 I have renamed my HIIT activities as CrossFit but when automatically imported into Strava they are listed incorrectly as a Workout rather than CrossFit.  I would like a feature to be able to say I wish these imported correctly to Strava as type CrossFit rather than workout.

Hello, we are developing a Digital Social Platform dedicated to Sports Events. We would like that our users could import their Strava friends, just like Strava does with Facebook. However, it seems that Strava API doesn't support this feature. Is that true? Thanks in advance

Hi,I'm looking to use the Strava API to collect a large dataset on individuals who run. Is there a way I can list (or is there some public database) of athletes whose profiles are set to public? I'd then simply call "get athlete stats". I'd like to query through this list of individuals to create a dataset.

I created my connection, because I have a dedicate connector.  I can see one table with my data like this  But when I will try to access another table, I can't, and I need my gear ID, or club ID, or Segment ID etc, to access other tables   and so on Can you help me to access my data with this connector, I really want to create an interactive app with my activity, I'm waiting your response Thank you 😊   

I am wondering if KOM segments are or can be part of the bulk export? I recently did a bulk export and I see a CSV file called "local_legend_segments.csv", but no KOM equivalent. Perhaps I am missing it. Thank you for any insight. 

In Strava terms, what constitutes a "Workout?" This is listed as one of the acceptable activity types for this month's "Indoor Workout Challenge," and just wondering what counts. Evidently an indoor ride does not 😕😕

Bike rider for 40 years+; used to race. Today I ride to keep fit. Winter training is inddor using Kinomap and XERT.Started using Strava to aggregate my inddor sessions and a better overview. Strava also allows XERT to pull my Kinomap sessions in for a full picture of my current training state.Pleasantly surprised by the small challenges available in Strava, great motivators, and I thus wanted to join the Le Col Season Pass challenge as I felt it was both achievable and worthwhile the effort.But how do I reach the 1000 meters of elevation when only cycling indoors?For XERT sessions, these probably will only record elevtion when running in slope mode something I have not yet tried.In Kinomap, elevation gain is recorded when riding challenge mode, but it appears not to sync this data to Strava? How do I get Kinomap and Strava to sync the elevation gain?/Ulf

Like for instance, if I want to know how many Ks i hiked in 2017? Or how many hours I ran in july 2018?

I just switched from Suunto, and I miss the function that you can see everyones heatmaps. Meaning that you can always discover popular routes in an area. It would also be nice if you can click on the individual track of your personal heatmap to see that specific activity.
