Hi Strava Community, Is there anyone else out there like me who does a lot of self care and training recovery and wants to log it on strava?I’d like to make it where more of us are:1. Doing preventative activities together as a group2. Sharing what we are doing as training recovery and self care to inspire others on our feed so we stay healthy and get stronger3. Providing accountability to do the training recovery work outside of the actual workouts by posting, giving kudos, tagging, and sharing what we are doing for self care.Does this appeal to anyone and how could we make this happen Strava?

What exactly is Strava's 'Training Impulse'? It is  ONLY shown when you hover over a particular ride in the 'Fitness and Freshness' curve, but the term is not defined in the Strava glossary (as far as I can find) and -of course- its not  'Training Load ' (known as TSS everywhere else)) or 'Intensity' (= IF) or 'Relative Effort' (TRIMP). Can't find anything on these boards or via Gogle.Anyone?Thx.

Wanted to see if I get help with an activity title issue.I'm trying to see if it's possible to not have my ride location automatically show up in the title of my ride. I will get something like "San Antonio, Texas morning ride", when all I used to get was just "morning ride." (I know this is something Strava implemented a while back and it drives me crazy.) I can completely replace the activity title, removing the location data, and it add it back in later on. Is there a way to turn this feature off? I have friends who never get the ride location in the their auto titles. I've looked at the preferences and haven't found a way so far.Thanks for any help.

Velocity, force, power, distance - more than reps and sets. Is Strava looking to increase its weightlifting feature?We would love our shared customers to be able to upload their GymAware and FLEX data.Velocity based training is increasingly popular with athletes that have a focus outside of the weights room as it accounts for auto-regulation.Would anyone like to start a conversation?

Hi everyone,I am thinking of a script that gets the local trail conditions from my city’s trail stewards association. If the trail is closed, I want to get via the Strava API a list of users that rode the segment(s) that day to see who is damaging the trails by riding them when closed. I read the API documentation extensively and couldn’t find an endpoint that satisfied this — anyone have any ideas or is it simply not possible?Cheers,Mel

Good day,for the last few years we have used the Strava API without issues using the following workflow once a day:A refresh token is requestedThat refresh token is used to request the activities in a clubThe response is further processedThis morning, the activities were no longer showing up correctly. The only thing that was returned was an empty array (verbatim: "[]"). We have not changed anything about the requests or the way these requests were made. The account we use to make these requests is also an admin in the club in question, yet this changes nothing. What can be done to get things up and running again?

For RUNNERS strava live segments on Garmin devices are a great help to motivate and improve. BUT, when you are 40+ yo running a segment fast, trying to improve your PR, is difficult to read the very small characters, on a screen that is not practical to see running fast. You can fall trying to read it ... and then the sections with descent are limited? But if the problem is the small print. Improve this aspect, please! Thank you. (in other devices like Polar, it seems better implemented, for runners)

Back in the day there was a way you could run a report on a specific segment. Then you could pull data say for last year. It would tell you how mine riders and how many attempts. Now I am only seeign the options for Today, This Week, and This month. Am I missing a change?

Hello,I would like to be able to make an API call that returned an object showing start/end times, and duration, for all riders in that time period. It would not need to include any PII I would just like to analyze trail use. I know that I can manually go to Strava and look at a segment, but I would like to be able to see this data programmatically.

   I have come across too many challenges on Strava that make it impossible to claim any prizes though deceptive practices for those who make the challenges. Has anyone delt with this issue before? I currently am dealing with "The Feed" for the second time with unmet rewards. They now owe me twice. Other challenges flat out offer 'money' in the description but will turn around and re-word the deals when anyone gets to the rewards pages to include Subsciptions, purchase, Expiring rewards. I'm getting tired of no help with this.Anyone else?

I'm implementing an integration between Strava and an external system based on Zapier. For each run someone does in a particular club on Strava I would like to update the profile on the other platform. The activity trigger does work fine on clubs but the information you get on an athlete is minimal. I only get resource_state, firstname and lastname (first character). Which makes it very unreliable to do profile lookups in the other platform that's linked. Is Strava considering adding a unique athlete ID for example here because this would solve my problem?

É um prazer está aqui e venho através desta relatar um erro apresentado na apresentação da minha atividade no Strava após importar automaticamente uma atividade coletada pelo Samsung Health. Sempre utilizei meu Galaxy Watch 4 LTE para coletar as atividades e tudo sempre funcionou perfeitamente, mas no dia 08 deste mês, percebi o erro!! O erro consiste em apresentar como dispositivo utilizado o GARMIN EDGE 305 ou invés de apresentar SAMSUNG HEALTH. Não fiz nenhuma mudança no portal Strava e nem no meu Galaxy Wacth 4. Hi, I’m reaching out as a maintainer of the stravalib python package. We recently made some changes under the hood that will allow us to easily maintain the package and keep up with changes to the Strava API. We tried to keep the usage of stravalib as backward-compatible as possible with previous releases, but it is impossible to test for all potential use cases. Therefore, we created a pre-release that can be installed with `pip install —pre stravalib==1.3.0rc0`. The (known) breaking changes are documented here. Please test your package or project with this pre-release to ensure the upcoming version will not break it. If you encounter any issues or have questions, please continue the conversation at our Github repo!

Zwift Ride did not post correctly in Strava. Ride was interrupted by short power failure. Got everything back up and running. Zwift appeared to show that I was re-joining the interrupted ride and accrued mileage from there. When activity was ported to Strava it only shows mileage and history up to the power failure. Strava also shows a prompt on the activity record that reads "Processing media  tap to see progress" at the top. But it never changes or makes any progress. I tried to download the .fit file and upload manually but Strava indicates that it is a duplicate and does not overwrite the short distance file that was posted. Any ideas? THX

I've just started trying out Strava on my galaxy watch 5 pro, and this seems like such a no-brainer but I can't find it anywhere. How do I see my distance on the app while I'm running? On my watch I can see Heart Rate, Time, and Pace/Mile, but that's it? I want to look at my watch while running and see how far I've gone, without having to wait until I've finished the run and it's synced to my phone. All of the distance info is there on my phone post-run, but how do I see it during the run?In the Samsung Health watch app it's so simple: I see Duration, Distance, Pace and Heart Rate. I can even get an audio or vibration cue at each mile. Why would anyone use Strava for running if you can't see the distance while running? Thanks in advance - hopefully I'm missing a simple setting. 

I am unable to retrieve my activities via my React application, despite using this how-to site for reference and largely copying the code over: https://javascript.plainenglish.io/strava-api-react-app-326e63527e2c. Is this not a valid request link:  https://www.strava.com/api/v3/athlete/activities?access_token=<access_token_here>? Of course, that <access_token_here> part is where my current access token would be, which gets refreshed with the way I've set up my React App.js file.    For extra context, I am receiving a 401 request error upon the request being made in React: The underlying error appears to be the following: Not sure how to interpret this result.   I'd appreciate any help/insight into this for those of you who are aware of a fix/solution and/or have gone through this problem already.

My latest 36.4 mile ride will not sync to my phone and computer. I have tried everything and nothing worked

HI everyone , i realise this has been discussed before but I've just done a segment in singapore and it seems like the first 20 ppl in the segment could be flagged as most have a running pace of 2:12 ish. it seems flagging is an activity on its own. can i do multiple flags ? maybe if you don't have enough data you shouldn't be aloud on leader boards, i.e HR and cadence being the main data sources for runners  and if the  times are faster than world records they  should be flagged automatically.  

Many times my photos location is way off from place it was taken. This is because the GPS location can be very inaccurate if I take a picture with my phone quickly after turning it on.It would be nice to be able to put photos on a map at a location based on when they were taken, this can be much more accurate than GPS data. I know that there are some users that use some scripts that takes GPX and photos and then updates geolocation meta data looking for the nearest point in GPX to time when photo was taken.Could Strava perhaps also allow this option when uploading media? Place photos on GPX "when" it was taken, ignoring location data.

I run with my mobile phone strapped to my arem. A couple of times recently I can't save the run properly and see the data - it just says that the run is syncing - on some kind of endless loop. I can't see the details on my laptop either. Is there anyway I can fix this? It's really irritating as I'm trying to build up towards a 10k and it would be really useful. I don't want to just delete the info.  I haven't yet tried exporting it as a GPX file which is one of the options given.
