It was a busy August here in the Strava Community Hub.  Thanks to everyone who submitted a new idea, asked a question, answered a question, commented, or contributed in any way.  We see you and we appreciate you! This month, we have a couple of new names in our top Contributors list: @MakeStravaGreat and @RMSouthAfrica Thanks to you both for taking the time to get involved and add your comments and suggestions. HiCould Strava make it easy to connect activities. E.g I went for a ride on Saturday but while I was having a cuppa at my favourite cafe my Garmin watch stopped saving that part of my ride. I continued on realised my watch had stopped so re started it. At the end I saved this part of my ride. So my 40mile ride was uploaded as two rides. I tried to figure out how I could connect these two rides to make 1 ride, but sadly I couldn't. This has happened a number of times. It would be really helpful if I could join easily join them together ☺️

I've been facing an issue recently that's left me a bit puzzled. I completed a challenging 100K ride and logged it on Strava. However, when I saved the activity, the map disappeared, and I couldn't see any track. What's even more frustrating is that this happened to me not just once, but twice. Curiously, I decided to conduct a trial ride for less than 1KM yesterday, and it worked perfectly—the map showed up in the results as expected. I've been a loyal user of this app for over two years, and this issue has never occurred before. It's quite perplexing and disheartening. please help

I have looked  and cannot and find it. It would be great to sincro your dive logs from garmin (or any other brand) or even adding it manualy, adding some fictures such us: Type of Air, gear, water temperature, dive time, bottom time, maximum depth, etc.. (this data can be sincronized from your device to make it easier or manualy filling it)

Hi,My weekly effort in my free version of Strava (on the pc it doesn't work, on the android phone it works fine) doesn't work anymore.For each of my sporttypes the count is zero but i already ran 33 km and made a lot of bike km does???? Is this new???Gr. Patrick

If you join a club, does it synch/show your activities from that point forward, or does it add your activities from the last week and perhaps adjust last week's leader board?

Hi all, hope someone can help. Trying to join strava to my lecol account so that I can earn points for km. Sounds simple but it keeps telling me that I have already this account and to try revoke permission which I have? I do have 2 strava accounts (one of which is dead) when I try to delete the dead one it links up to my active account and I don't want to lose that. Any ideas? 

I only use Strava for Kayaking. I can edit any activity to be kayaking. However, my only choice for a default type is running or cycling. Why is this? Why can I not choose from the same list as the activity list? I do not want to have to go and manually every single edit activity after I've done it. Please implement this feature which should be pretty straightforward from a coding perspective. I've also noticed that even though I edit the title of the activity on my Xoss app, this is ignored by Strava and defaults to 'Morning Ride/Run'.

Why are my suggested friends always the same?i have no intention of ever connecting with any of them but apparently I cannot disable the feature of suggested friends.As I cannot turn off the feature it is really getting to me that Strava always pushes the same 2 friend suggestions. How do I - politely - say "no, thanks" to the suggestions?I have not let Strava pick up my phonebook or any other contacs lists./Ulf

When placing athletes who use MTB bikes together with those who use road/gravel bikes in the same ranking, a discrepancy is created. The App should separate athletes when making their equipment choices when carrying out the activity (MTB x road/gravel.

In the Strava app (for iOS, at least), tapping on a photo from the Home Feed or from inside an activity opens a dedicated Photos View that you can scroll through vertically. In that view, every photo shows the time it was taken right below it. The problem is Strava reads the wrong metadata field for this timestamp.I do some quick, light editing on my photos before exporting them to my desktop, then uploading them to Strava. As a result, every photo I take during my hikes gets uploaded with a timestamp around 11 p.m. or midnight on Strava.It looks to me like Strava reads the File Modification Date/Time field, rather than Create Date, or Date/Time Original, or even Modify Date, all three of which are usually identical (and all three of which are available in my exported/uploaded photos). So Strava needs to change the priority of the fields it reads as the timestamp.As far as I can tell, photos upl

Suggestion: offer filtering of what historic route types and speed is used to inform "popular" - allowing users to select "popular with cycling" or "popular with running" only, and ideally "minimum / maximum speed of XX kmph for the path"This would reduce many issues with suggested routes directing users down roads that are actually inappropriate, and where known / statistically identifiable journey types have significantly different routing requirements (e.g. cycling rides will typically be longer, higher average speeds etc.) Problem: Within Build a Route - the "follow most popular" pathing does not have different data for Running / Walking vs Cycling. Most Popular is often not the most appropriate route. Plotting a Road Cycling route will direct a cyclist down a very popular path, popular because it is used by runners/walkers - i.e. inappropriate for cycling,

Hi, I have a team challenge which starts tomorrow (1st Sept) but I notice the leaderboard presents/refreshes weekly. Firstly, if I want to take a snapshot of week 1 will I have to manually capture each individual activity or is there a way to pull this? Secondly, can't I just add when the challenge is from and to so that its a constant leaderboard rather than changing? 

Just curious about the guy that’s logged in hundreds of miles of biking in less than a week in the September running challenge. He’s number 1 and he’s not running and even his biking seems to be unrealistically a huge amount. I think it’s in the 1000s of miles actually but I’m not good at metric system 

Is there a way to tap the whole activity and give kudos instead of tapping the tiny little icon? I think many people would benefit from double tapping the whole activity, instead of having to tap the tiny little thumbs up. This is because I often miss it and end up at the map or in the activity instead of giving kudos. Any solutions?

In the goals/progress area, my progress toward a mountain biking goal does not appear to update correctly.   It shows progress based on my miles completed several months ago vs miles completed to date.

The graph of my Tempo when running seems to be different on my phone or on the computer.I put them in Excel with WebPlotDigitizer and they are somewhat similar, bot not really. How can this be?      

I am from Pune - India running, cycling with reasonable distance majorly at weekends. I would like to get information about the diet, workouts to improve stamina and lower down the heart rate. Currently while running it goes up to 170-180. Please suggest. Thanks.

I received a notification "Nice Climb!" the other evening, for 280 feet of climbing, but there was no activity that would/should have generated this. I was sitting on the couch. Really oddly, the logged heart rate is dangerously high for sitting on the couch, average of 128, when my resting heart rate is high 40's. It almost seems like I received a notification that belonged to someone else. Is this a thing?

I’m doing the GNR on Sunday. Wanting to hope everything runs smooth. If I’m jogging or going at a slower pace than my normal, which is a cert with the amount of people taking part, will my Strava pause or keep going?
