For the past few weeks Strava has randomly been categorising some of my bike rides as Mountainbike Rides.  Each time I have to answer comments from friends and have to go in and change the category.  I asked Strava how to stop this and they couldn’t/wouldn’t help.  Anyone know how to stop it happening?

Hello, hoping to find support.I’m a premium subscriber, I have set my FTP, age, weight, … in my profile. All data is being open and shared according to the settings. I mainly do indoor cycling with Power (Wahoo Kickr Bike Shift) intervals. When opening my ‘Best Efforts’ on my Strava mobile app, it mentions ‘Only you can see your power data’. While the setting is actually set to publicly available. Additionally, I don’t see the new Power Skills graph in my progess tab. Is it related to the mention of the visibility of my power data? 

Hello everyone,I'm new to the forum, I'm 27 years old, and after years of inconsistent training I've started training seriously again.I am also new to the Strava universe, and I am here to ask for your help regarding the Apple Watch app.I installed the app on both iPhone and Watch, but when I launch the app from the latter, the message "From your phone, sign in or sign upusing the Strava app." but nothing appears in the iPhone and the screen remains frozen.I followed the installation procedure I found on the forum, activating all permissions and syncing the Watch from the iPhone, however, it seems that it is not recognized.I thank you in advance for you help! 🙂

 Hello,  I’m participating in the Rouvy Mallorca challenge and this last week’s route has some egregious KOMs from someone who rode an elevation faked 90 mile route with dozens of KOMs making the whole thing aggressively downhill under the purpose of “sight seeing”. Unfortunately one particular user keeps clearing flags and happily takes about “his KOMs” despite apparently being able to sustain 44+ mph up 6+ grades for minute after minute (all thanks to the gradient faking). I have flagged multiple times and he just clears them over and over despite the obviously faked ride. I’m wondering if there’s a way for Strava to clear this up since upon checking Rouvy there are a bunch of these elevation faked routes. Can the new cheating algorithm identify when the activity elevation profile doesn’t match the activity at all? I’ve actually ridden this route (leaving my ride hidden to avoid messing with segments) so you can see below how egregious it looks with tha

The search function in “My Activities” is worthless. I put in a town/city name and it returns lots of rides that don’t have that town/city name in the title or the ride even when through that town, and more often than not doesn’t find rides that DO have that town/city name in them.

I am a subscriber..I have been on Strava many years doing many activities every single day and yet I have never received an achievement 500 or 1000th badge ... I must be way past these now .. a friend who's only on a few months has got their 1000th achievement badge they do not subscribe ,... Is there a reason I haven't received badges or is it a random thing ?

In my training zone, it will display at what time my recent training heart rate is (the last week, one month, three months). However, after I updated my heart rate zone in the upper right corner, the corresponding time has not changed and remains the same as before

Hi everyone,If I want to share an activity on Facebook via the web/PC, there are several ways to do so. Simply copy the link from your address bar and click the Facebook logo next to your activity. However, you can't then choose what you want to see on Facebook.For example, I have an activity to which I've added multiple photos. If I share it directly, only my main photo appears. I can't choose between other photos or simply the map.If I create a link via the activity, I can select a photo/image, but I get an invalid link. This is also the case if I debug this link first (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/).If I share the activity via my app, I can also select various photos/maps. However, if, for example, the map with the route, distance, etc. is visible and I click share, I don't see this image, but my main photo with the activity info.I first need to save the image or photo with the activity data I want to share through my

Is it possible to revert to the previous sharing layout? The new one is too disproportionate, at least an option to choose the font size would be useful. I've been taking screenshots instead of using the share option. NEW LAYOUT OLD LAYOUT 

Hello, I currently use a Pixel Watch 2 to track activities. While it works great for walks runs and bike rides, it can't do much else. For example, when walking, running, or biking, speed and distance and gps map are all okay. However, when I try and track anything else (Inline Skate and kayak) the speed is always super super low and the distance is way less than it should be.For example, a friend would go inline skating with me and their speed would be around 7 mph and mine is always stuck at ~1-2 mph. My distance is always super low as well. But when we walk or bike the tracking is just fine.Dont really understand what's going on and why some activities just don't work and walking and biking do very well. I could just use the biking category to track everything but I like the different categories.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. Please help or resolve the issue, I really enjoy the UI and tools of strava. Th

Hi, I haven’t found any similar bug report so I hope I’m not reporting something already known. For a few weeks (since I upgraded to the latest release of strava in July’25 I believe) it has become impossible to follow a route (Mountain Bike). I can upload my route and start following/recording but after some time the recording starts lagging more and more behind my actual position and eventually the app displays an error message and reinitializes, losing all the positions since the point between the latest recorded position and my actual position, and stopping displaying the route. Then the problem occurs again every 5 to 10 minutes, and each time I have to reload the route.I have tried everything I could : reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone before using the app, closing/deactivating other apps to make sure only strava was running, but nothing seems to fix the problem. Currently Strava provides the following stats about each segment: distance, elevation, and grade.The problem is that these stats are only valid if a segment is a straight uphill or straight downhill.But if a segment has both uphill and downhill parts the stats can be wrong or even outright misleading.Here a good example. The segment below takes one of the steepest trails uphill to the top of a popular local summit, then goes down on another equally steep trail, then turns around and ascends the second trail, then goes down on the first trail.The segment description shows the grade as 0%, which couldn't be further from truth. It also shows the elevation incorrectly as 2035 ft. In fact this segment has about twice the elevation gain and the average grade is closer to 25%. So not only this segment stats don't provide correct information about the segment but also it won't likely come back in a search as a hilly segment. 

Up until 18/9/25 calories in a run recorded via my garmin watch and sent to Strava matched. the last 2 runs the calories differ. today 15km calories on garmin active 854 and basel 150 for a total of 1,004. Strava shows as 1,332. I haven’t changed anything. 

When I update my pace through the cropping feature I can only share my old inaccurate pace. I would like to be able to post the updated cropped time. Please help.

Can I still get a full refund from this app? I just installed the app, and to my surprise, I have now a paid subscription for a year. I didn't have a notification that I subscribed on this app, and a even confirmation from my bank before even paying, but upon checking the Google Play Store just now, face recognition and fingerprint are both enabled when paying, so I think payment was made thru this as my bank linked to the said application.I'm in shock because I barely open the app, and even didn't use it at all. I even suspect my bank that is linked to my Google Play Store that maybe it was their mistake, but it wasn't, and all along it was your app who charged me without even using it.I'm just afraid I can't have my money bank because upon searching on the internet about your terms for requesting a refund, users can only have a request within 14 days after the purchase, but it's been almost a month now since I requested, and that's because I didn't know it's this app

Since I complained about Strava’s poor GPS satellite connections and speed calculation to support about a month ago, I am noticing that the Strava distance recording has changed.  Apparently, Strava made some changes but as usual, are testing them on users in real time.Segment and total distances that stayed approximately the same for years are now different.For example, one hike that is a measured 7 miles long, Strava would usually show as between 7.12-7.18 miles.  Today, an activity on this trail came in at 7.38 miles!  That is an excessive error.  Sheese.A week ago, a segment on another trail that Strava has always shown as 2.63-2.67 miles showed 2.56 miles.Strava developers don’t seem to know how to work with GPS satellites and data! If you want a clear example of this, note the distance shown at a rest break (take a screenshot), then watch Strava show distance gain as you sit at rest, not moving!  Support claims they can’t compensate for what

Hi,Until July I was running with Strava app on my Apple Watch and my fitness score was getting updated on Apple Health app.But it stopped working since then, has anyone else had the same issue? I haven’t changed anything particular on my side and made sure permissions are correct for Strava to read/write iOS Health data. Thanks! 

There’s some useful data that Apple Health now supports, but that Strava doesn’t upload: Heart ratePowerCadenceGPS route/mapIs there a feature request open to get these fields added to the Apple Health upload from Strava rides?Also, is the opposite planned? To import the power & cadence from my Apple Watch cycling workouts (now that watchOS 10 supports power & cadence) when I add these to Strava.

In strava's new training zone feature, I try to click on the pen button in the upper right corner. Modify my maximum heart rate and heart rate interval, modify click OK, the software shows that the interval has been modified, but the actual did not change. The same is true of trying many times  

As of yesterday 19th Sept my Suunto activities are not transferring to Strava. I have tried all the trouble shooting ideas, but nothing changes!!! any help would be great. The activity transfers from watch to app but then doesn’t transfer over to Strava. please help. 

Since several days, the sharing function is not working properly.The app modify the size and ratio of the original pictures, uploaded, when sharing pictures.All the pictures are sharing in a portrait format even if the original format is landscape or square.As I’ve paid a subscription for that app, i’m not satisfied because i can’t share to my friends and my family all my activities with distance and speed on the picture with the good format ?Is there a way to modify the format of the mixité shared or when are going to fix the issue ?

Without my knowledge, I've been added to strava premium and can't cancel. On the app it says it'll renew in a month and I'll have to pay unless I cancel on the website but on the website it says they won't bill me?I don't want premium so I'd rather just cancel and be done with this fuss

My Apple Watch Strava activities have stopped syncing - when I try to sync I get the same error each time: ‘to sync your activity, make sure your Apple Watch is connected to the network’. I’ve checked and the watch says connected to Bluetooth and WiFi. I’ve logged out of the mobile app. I’ve closed both apps (phone and watch) several times. Nothing seems to fix it. Please can someone help?
