I may be missing some existing features but I'm curious to learn if there is a way to meet like-minded individual's that are nearby to me (i.e. in my city). I travel a lot (digital nomad) and have found great joy in being part of some running clubs for a few weeks.Unfortunately, a lot of places in the US don't have existing running clubs (that I can't find through a Google/Facebook/etc. search at least) but I'm sure there must be other runners out there that might be interested in showing a newbie around their town.Is there a way to already do this in Strava, or could this be a way this community hub is leveraged? Thanks!

Share whatever you're comfortable with, whether that's what activities you like to do, what you're interested in learning from other Strava athletes to help you go further or just a random fact about yourself. For December, let's talk about your favorite activity from this year. If you were writing a message to someone to share something memorable you did this year what would it be? For me, this year has been memorable for some of my bigger hiking adventures that I managed to record and share on Strava. Most memorably, I was able to visit Channel Islands National Park, California (just off the coast from north LA) and hike around the biggest island Santa Cruz for a few days. It was not as cold as I would have liked, quite dusty but extraordinarily peaceful and beautiful.

I have a feeling that I'm not alone here, but maybe some of you all have ideas on how to improve in this area.  I have a hard time taking a day off, or even having a recovery day.  I know that I should do more recovery and rest days, I know that I should stretch more... but I just don't do it.  I keep seeing my Relative Effort numbers in Strava (and my Weekly Intensity), and pushing myself to constantly increase them... which (eventually) leads to some form of injury (pulled achilles, knee pain, etc.) - forcing a long break from the activities I love.  I just find it so hard to take a rest day (I end up feeling like I'm lazy if I do).Q: How do you motivate yourself to rest and recover? 

Hello, I currently have an indoor trainer, but it gets quite boring. I am looking to voice chat with people during rides to keep each other motivated. I have tried zwift and I really like the platform, but I found many of the voice chatrooms empty.  Is anyone interested in connecting and chatting during rides?

Heya, I'm planning on buying a new bike. My intention is to go for a CX one-by. I'm also planning to use the bike as a roadbike in summer. Hence my qustion is: Does anybody know or have experiences in changing the charinring? 40 or 46 teeth are maybe not sufficient to ride with lads on tarmac. I'm planning to switch the chainrings in summer and fall to convert from "crosser" to "roadbike" and vice versa. Is this technically possible? Please don't try to warn me about different geometries. I've tried the different frames and in the end it's always the legs not the reach nor the stack which is your limiter. I'm not planning to compete in the Giro oder the Vuelta. Thank you in advance. Use this thread to introduce yourself and meet some new people. We'd love to hear more about who you are, what activities interest you and also importantly what your favorite cheese is 🧀?  Here's mine: Scotland born but now California based (the 😎 shines more here) I love hiking, running (sometimes) and also hoping to establish maze based walking/solving as an up and coming sport type, cause it's a real workout running round those things.  I love cheese. My favorites right now are anything from Wisconsin or California though especially enjoying Gouda recently and trying out some vegan cheeses like Cashew or Smoked Gouda.  Share your story, favorite cheese or favorite cheese based story.     

We recently hosted our first exclusive AMA (Ask Me Anything) session featuring one of Strava’s Senior Software Engineers. I'd like to say hello - as suggested when I first read about this hub. My name is Dustin, I'm located in western Europe and am sort of addicted to all kind of sporty activities. I mostly cycle, though. Three weeks ago I started running for the first time in my life and sort of like it. So I added swimming to my weekly routine and started to prepare training to compete in a triathlon next year. Gladly looking forward to discussions with you guys and gals.

Although not as old or iconic as the Boston Marathon, the New York City Marathon has grown to be the biggest marathon in the world with more than 53,000 Finishers in 2019.  The inaugural race, held in 1970, consisted of multiple laps around Manhattan’s Central Park. You tap to stop recording and anxiously wait for your activity to upload to Strava. All of a sudden, you're stumped. "What on earth do I title my run?", you wonder... 🤔 🤔A quick glance through your home feed displays your friends' activities, all sorts of activity titles pop up: from the generic "Afternoon Ride" to the auto-generated activity titles that reference obscure pop culture quotes, and everything in between.Some people spend their entire workout mulling over the most suitable title to distinguish their effort. But if you're anything like me, you either leave it to the default, write something silly and edit it moments later, or spend unjustifiable amounts of energy pondering what you could have, should have and would have titled it. 💭 For

Hello Strava Administrator, and Strava Athletes Alike,Am I missing the obvious, or has the following topic been overlooked?  Strava awards accomplishments like KOM/QOM, and cups for Top 10 over segments.  Kudos!  But what about some new type of recognition for age-group leaders?  In virtually any real-life race or competition, age-group winners are also recognized in addition to the overall winners.  It seems like a no-brainer that Strava should do the same.  I know that subscribers get the age-group listing also, but a person has to look that up.  Why not award a virtual trophy of some kind as soon as the ride is uploaded to Strava so followers can see and acknowledge that accomplishment the same way it's done for KOM/QOM and Top 10?  People who get out there, and get out there and challenge themselves as they enter the upper age-groups should be recognized for that.  This seems too obvious to be overlooked by Strava.  Am I missing som

Normally when you think about a task or goal while you're performing it, time feels like you are moving in slow motion. I can't speak for everyone, but when I think about the daunting hill I have to run up just to get back home, it feels like my legs have weights attached to them. To conquer that mindset I know I have to get into a zone. You know the zone right? That feeling you get when you are pretty much on autopilot. Your body and mind are in sync and the thought of stopping doesn't exist. Some people need complete silence while others need their favorite song on their playlist to come on in order to get into a zone. I personally listen to audiobooks to occupy my mind while my body moves on its own. What about you? What method do you use to get into the zone while you're active?
