Strava Features Chat

I've recently moved to the next age category on Strava.Since my birthday, none of my rides show me as being in the new category.  I can see my previous rides in the earlier category but when I look in the new category, instead of giving me a position on the "leaderboard" it shows a bland, such as   -/ 345Any suggestions?

Hafa Adai from Guam!  Looking for some help.  We have a goal of hosting a virtual 100 mi run spanning 1 month.  The virtual 100 is the sum total of all miles/segments completed during the month. What is the best way to track this for all members with Strava?  Simply using the Clubs leaderboard?  Or, can an event be configured to span 30 days?  I only see that events are for a single day...   Appreciate your help in advance!

Does anyone know how to get rid of this 'Getting Started' section at the top of the app..? I have completed 3 or the 4 steps (and don't want to subscribe to Strava). Any help please?

In the aftermath of a group activity with people not on my feed I enjoy seeing that little title text they have set, if they did not just keep the default. That's often an indication of which activities to take a closer look at (pictures!), and the primary outlet of user creativity in Strava. Also, seeing those titles is a good indication of which peers to eventually follow because they put in effort to make their feed entertaining.This feature exists in the browser implementation, so it can't be a privacy consideration. But it's missing in the android app (and I imagine that it used to exist in an older version of the app). Currently the layout of the "manage group" dialog pullup reserves a line of screen space fo the location set in the profile (often empty), but that's not half as interesting as the title text.

So my feed is peppered with unsolicited check out this run you did 3 yrs ago / 5 yrs ago etcstrava say you can’t turn it off. I got injured 3 yrs ago have had several surgeries and can no longer walk further than about 3 miles never mind run. I can cycle though so I still use Strava. It’s just so distressing to be constantly reminded of the thing that I love that I CANNOT do and I have no way of turning it off. Ridiculous. 

I was just viewing my heat-map and saw a 'heat line' in an area that I didn't recall ever running there. I tried clicking the 'heat line' to see if it would take me to the activity(ies) that I had run there - it didn't.So, I'm thinking this could be a handy feature, anyone agree?

I created a challenge for my cross country team it is scheduled to start in 2 weeks. I was able to see it under my joined challenges when I made it but now am unable to fine it. where did it go?  😍

Hi,I was reviewing my fitness score and noticed it is not considering my outdoor rides, only those done indoors on Zwift.This affecting my score for the worse.I experimented with the drop downs but couldn't find any settings to fix the issue. Is this a known problem? Thanks in advance

I would like to know why I can not listen audio notification by KM run, since I use a new Samsung phone.

I was wondering if there was a global stats leader board available? I reckon my 2022 end of year stats were pretty impressive and wondered how they compared with others?

How do you turn on the map controls to allow you to navigate around the heatmap, spin the map in all directions, change the viewing angle, etc. I seem to only be able to zoom.  Thanks

Good morning everyone.I have started to mix up my runs by going for top spot on segments or at the very least beat my previous PR.I went for a run yesterday and aimed to beat a certain segment. I have got back and checked the segment. It's only a 0.24km segment. Crown holder has done it in 41 seconds. My previous PR was 53s but yesterday I completed it in 42 seconds(Re watching my run on the map it is clear it is 42 seconds) however Strava has my time down as 2m34s? Is there a way to edit at all? Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any replies. Luke

If I flag a segment will the User who be notified of who it was?

Currently, I have 1,242 activities on Strava. Each 20 activities are displayed on my activities. So, it is difficult to find out my old activites. When I want to go on my 900~920 activities, I have to click 45 times. Could you change to easily go on wanted pages with 20 activities such as 1, 2, 3, 4..... page number?I wish that "Search" feature will be changed. Currently, I can search the activities only when I write down the words completely. For example, I want to search for all activities with "20" on them. But, activities with "200k" are not searched.Thanks.Hojin CHA 

1. How come all my rides are now listed as """virtual rides""" and I can't change that?2. When I'm doing Interval training the table of Interval data has NEVER been correct.3. How come if I have GPS turned off for part of a ride, Strava only counts the time GPS was on?4. How come with GPS turned off (which is the default for me) Strava can't tell the difference between 'time moving' and 'elapsed time', making everything 'elapsed time' and skewing all my other ride stats because of that? (I have to work around this before uploading data)Strava people, you keep pressing me and everyone else for a Paid Subscription, but with the above problems alone I've been right on the edge of just deleting my account entirely, I don't actually need Strava at all for any of my training, it's just so people who know me can see what I'm doing. Hi All,I’m just wondering if anyone is able to help. Strava has logged my run at 22:52 however it says it’s my third best 5k at 24 minutes+ which makes no sense. I’ve never seen this before, and wondered if anyone else had?thank you in advance

Hi — I have a v weird glitch happening. I have segment audio notifications on so when I’m running I get the notice of half Km / times. That works fine. But after I have finished running, hours later, when the app is actually closed, I get random announcements of completing half a Km and a random time. Loudly on my phone.  I am not moving, I properly finished and uploaded my previous workout and the app is closed. Last night ut did it 9 hours after my run while I was in a play and my phone/ watch were in theatre mode. Any ideas?

Hey, Gang: I’m 75, and train seriously. Yesterday and today I pr’d on several local segments. The main page indicated that I had a pr for several segments and the times for the segments were correct, BUT my age group (75+) shows an older time (a few months prior). I repeated the same segments today and pr’d again, and the same thing happened: Strava indicates my correct time, but my age group (75+) shows an old time. It’s the same issue on the all time and the this year’s portions, as well. Here’s what I’ve done to try and remedy the issue: 1) Waited 24 hours (no change); 2) Deleted the biking activity, and reloaded from Garmin; 3) Repeated the same ride the next day (today), but no change; 4) Reached out to Strava to talk with support, and sent photos (they haven’t responded in any meaningful manner (just promises); 6) Logged in, and restated the program. Please bring back the KOM category icons in the athlete KOM lists.  It was a quick and easy way to see and differentiate actual climbing koMs from flat segments and others.
