I keep starting a trace, and then missing the first few KM of my runs without knowing about it till Strava DOESN'T give the first audio update at 500m.When I start the trace I get a "GPS Acquired" confirmation, as if everything is okay, but in reality the app never gets a GPS location from my iPhone13 that it is happy with.Strava NEEDS to make this clear to the user with a banner at the top saying "GPS data being dropped", or some such status.Further, if you have audio notifications turned on and it doesn't establish this is the state before you put the phone on standby and put it in your pocket, it needs to make an audio warning telling you every 10s.The user feedback is shocking, and it is NOT the fault of the poor GPS on the phone.If it did you could reboot the phone, etc, before you got anywhere too far in your run.

Is there still no way to export existing segments into GPX files? The only thing I could think of was creating my own route, but you can't seem to do that from existing segments. If I manually choose a start and end point, it doesn't accurately follow the trail. Thanks for any input!

It adds a waypoint every time I click on the map. But if I plan a route on a complicated trail network and want to get the route exactly the way I want I need to click on the map a lot. That isn't different from how the route planning worked before. But now it inserts waypoint at every point I clicked at the map. But what's next? - I can't rename those waypoints. Names don't stick.- I can't remove those waypoints because that triggers the reroute. That's not what I want. - Waypoints don't propagate to Garmin. That was the main feature I expected.Basically, these are not true waypoints. They are more like anchor points that Strava calls waypoints. Waypoint is what I want to be notified about during notification. For example Garmin devices allow tracking distance remaining or ETA to the next waypoint. That's not what Strava provides with this update. In fact, as I can tell nothing has really changed other than entering a point by searching for it

Recently, I've noticed my Split Pace and distance to be very off. At first, I thought it was my Apple Watch series 6 that was providing inaccurate data.  But today I ran on the treadmill where my watch and treadmill provided consistent data at a consistent pace, whereas when I uploaded to Strava, the pacing was all over the place by 20-30 seconds off of what the watch and treadmill were telling me. The total distance in the splits was also off by 400 meters, but the overall summary total distance looked accurate. The treadmill run / loading the activity onto Strava looks like it confirms the fact that my Strava has been grossly inaccurate when uploading the data off the watch. Anyone else experiencing this issue and any tips to fix?

When I look at the activities of other people, I see whether someone has improved segment times, set a top 10 time, set a KOM time or whether this person has become a local legend of a segment.When I look at my own activities, I only see a trophy on the web with the number of my improved performances and whether I have driven a KOM or top 10 time. In the App, instead of the trophy, gold/silver and/or bronze medals of improved segment times are visible. If I become a local legend for a segment, I cannot see this.People who follow me will see this. They clearly see "Sander has just become the Local Legend of segment X".Now I can see in the app and on the website under my profile that I am a Local Legend on several segments, but why is that not visible to me in the activity where I became this, while followers do see it?Why is the laurel crown not visible next to the KOM, top 10 and medailles icons?

Due to the different disciplines (mtb, road, gravel) and the different vehicles (e-bike, bike), it would be useful and coherent if the segment ranking were shown by filtering the results based on the type of activity (mountain biking, pedaling, gravel) and excluding (always) the performance collected through the use of electric or pedal-assisted bicycles to avoid distorting the results.

I received an email that I got two CRs, but in reality I only got one. The other was a PR and outside of the top 10. Also the name of the user and the name of the segment are prefixed with numbers.I love the app by the way. Keep going 🙂

Hi, In achievements:  where users get medals and personal bests etc. There are still miles (1/2 miles, 1 mile, 2 miles) even if users have "Metric" selected as the default in the settings. Now, users who selected metrics should not be forced to see miles anywhere in the app and vice versa. World standards for running are as follows: 400 meters. 800 meters. 1500 meters. 3000 meters etc. (100m and 200m for sprint)

In this graph/chart at the bottom showing pace and heart rate, can you tell what is the pace and what is the heart rate? If the answer is 'no', then please add legends on the left and right axis accordingly to it please. Thank you.

It would be great to be able to compare all your Strava segments directly with someone on your friends list so you could see which segments you had in common. (This used to be supported by a 3rd party app so its doable). Cyclists are very competitive this would be a great addition. It would make it much easier to see what segments you have in common so you can try and beat their time. I think when this feature stopped working on the 3rd party app it was stated that it was a privacy issue. This seems strange as you only have people on your friends list that you want and you can block people ìf needed

Hello! I am using Strava for recording windsurfing sessions (amongst others). Although I have selected “metric”, the speed is measured in kn. How can I switch to either kmh or mph? Thanks, Aris

I’ve enabled flyby in the settings, via mobile app and tried via URL sit but I can’t get it to work?

I use Map my Run to record my runs and it integrates to Apple Health perfectly.  Is there a way for this to also link to stava so I don't have to manually download the TCX file and upload it?  When I use Apple Workout from my watch to record my runs it integrates to Strava perfectly  Ideally, I don't have to manually move files nor utilize 2 different running apps at the same time. Any thoughts?

Strava has a lot of great information about my activities, so I'd love to see it use that information to create adaptive training plans.I'd like to be able to do things like:Tell Strava that this is an easy run, so warn me if my heart rate gets too high.I want to increase my efficiency (run faster for same effort/heart rate): use AI to figure this out.I want to increase my endurance for this distance (or where I tell it which route I want to run), again use AI to figure this outEncourage me in appropriate ways during these runsI don't want to have to use other apps (that don't have my long Strava history) to do this.

Hello!Our NGO (https://www.bartali.org.il), is organizing a "challenge" this weekend, in support of the children who lost their families in the war in Israel on October 7th.I would like to ask what is the best way to set up such a challenge on Strava, so people could log-in the miles they are riding, where ever they are (either from their Garmin or from ZWIFT) and it will all be summed on one dash board.Would truly appreciate your prompt help!!

This subscriber feature has been non-working for over two years now; I’m posting it here now in a hope to get some votes and, ultimately, a fix.Steps: In the iOS app, navigate to tab Maps, sub-tab Segments, and select either “Break your record” or “Climb the leaderboard” item.The “Break your record” feature is supposed to show segments with a potential to get a new PR. Instead, it only shows a small amount of segments (two in my case) with very outdated “Current PR” and “Projected finish”. When checking back in my running history, these numbers are from September 2021 (actually around the time when I switched from free Strava to subscription), and weren’t updated since then. The “Climb the leaderboard” should show where you’re close to get to the Top 10. But, instead of showing my regular segments where I actually am close to Top 10 or QOM, a bunch of random segments is listed, at a quick glance I never ran through a single of them. And I think

A route designed for riding, when opening on the IOS app, is shown on a the heat map of runners. This creates confusion when wanting to deviate from said route, as you may turn into a path that is walkable but not rideable. Any idea what I am doing wrong or is this a bug? Note: I both run and ride and switch between making routes for both often. However, cycle routes are always shown on running heatmaps.

I’m thinking of organizing a one month walk/hike challenge for my colleagues at work. The winner at the end of the month will be the one with the most distance covered. Planning some prizes to give away as well. Would be great if I can create a challenge within the club page.
