Strava Features Chat

I'm not sure which API/Mapping service that Strava is currently using, but it is impossible for me to use the privacy feature to hide my home address.I live in Bahrain and the address system here is messy, so identifying an exact address is pretty difficult. Previously I could hide an address using GPS coordinates but that doesn't seem to work any more either.Anyone else facing these issues or have a better solution for me? I'm not really interested in hiding the start/end of all my activities as I don't really care when I start away from home.

When filtering for "all time" the fitness graph seems to bug out  

Hi all,Can anyone help me get rid if the blue shaded circle?.  It happens every time I create a route and allow Strava to access my location. Makes the underlying map difficult to see.Thanks.

After riding 670km in one go over the weekend, the 'my longest ride' feature of strava has not updated. How can i fix this?

I Zwift a lot, even during warmer months. I like the controlled environment and training aspect of it all. I noticed when viewing another athlete in Strava, the "Side by Side Comparison" does not reflect this (very real and full of blood, sweat, and tears) data for the last 4 weeks (maybe all year/all time).Actually, it appears there is no way to merge Virtual Rides or even display Virtual Rides for last 4 weeks, even on "My Stats" on my profile page. The top of my profile page has a large font "Last 4 Weeks 6 Total Activities", but "My Stats" and "Side by Side Comparison" has "Last 4 Weeks Activities / Week 2" 

If I log into STRAVA and look at the global heatmap, I just get a blank page. Can anybody tell me what I need to do to see the global heatmap?

On one of my weeks in the "You" Progress view, the Elevation metric is truncated (it shows "1,654..." instead of "1,654 ft")This doesn't happen on any other data points that I can find. Just a random thought, I wonder if it's related to the duration being exactly "2hr" (with no minutes to display). That's the only unique thing about this data point that isn't true of the other weeks that I can see.Anyway, hope you can fix this, thanks.

My phone turned off while I was record activity. After turning on the phone (I do not have a SIM card in it), incorrect date was displayed (31st February 2022). When I turned it back on, Strava showed the time with "-". After recording activity and correcting the date and time on my phone, the workout was saved, but I can't find it anywhere. Is it possible that due to an incorrect date, the training was not included at all? Where can I find it? 

The Strava app keeps showing 50+ badge notifications and it is really never more than 3-5.  This is SO annoying.

If you open some Strava activity being logged out (e.g. use private mode), you'll notice that title, map, photos and even comments are shown. But description is hidden.Why? Does anybody know what to tune in your account to show it?E.g. https://www.strava.com/activities/10120639819

I have scoured notification settings but there isnt an option for turn off patronising comments. Does anyone know what they come under? 

Hi, I'm 2 seconds off the KOM for a short segment near me. (34 s) Today I had another try, but on my return home / end, & fill in the Strava report, I found it no longer exists...(The KOM holder has just moved to Spain, by the way).Can Segments be taken down or removed....? And do people do this...? TIA Ian 

So I was in a challenge (contest) that ended at midnight. I logged my final activity shortly before and was in the lead. Midnight came and went and I was in 1st place! I was happy I won and went to bed.I woke up this morning, and I can see now that I’m no longer #1. Nearly an hour after midnight, someone had  backdated a new entry, logging an additional activity, and that pushed me to 2nd place. How is that fair? Why does the Strava app not have something in place to prevent this? Now the admin of our challenge will see the other guy in 1st place and declare him the winner 

For the first time in several weeks I tried to create a route a few days ago on my iMac using Chrome and some way into the creation of the route it’s like the webpage refreshed and cleared the entire page, it was completely blank. The only thing showing in my browser was the URL. I then tried it again, and the same thing happened. I gave up.I’ve just tried creating a route again today, this time on my iPad in Safari and it has done the same thing - part way into the creation of the route the page goes blank. I really need to create this route prior to my long run in a couple of hours so I’ve saved it, and keep going back and editing it to extend it because i can’t seem to create it in one go without this problem. It is happening over and over and over. I can’t even seem to add 1km to it without the page going blank. It has made route creation completely unusable for me.

Hi All,My group ride has started using waypoints on our routes.Each weekend a route is sent out that includes waypoints and everybody else on the ride can see them on their garmins, but I can't.If I look at the route in Strava on my pc, the waypoints aren't showing, so I'm assuming this is where the issue is.Does anybody have any idea why I can't see the waypoints?My strava account is set to private, could this be causing the issue?Any advice gratefully received.Thanks

I set 3 goals (all are power goals) today and as you can see they are listed as "undefined on undefined"

Dear all, I am checking different segments on my regular route and noticed that the progress isnt showing a lot of deviation although I increase a lot. This is because there is this one time that got recorded with a flat tire. So went way over my usual time and now im looking into hiding this effort from the segment.This activity with the effort was a couple of months ago and was visible for everyone, therefor i tried to hide the complete activity to make it disappear, but it keeps on showing the effort.are there any options?

I would like to know is there a way to add a manual activity without Strava changing the pace,speed or distance? For example, yesterday I did a mile in 20 mins,at 7.57 for a run and when I added the distance and speed Strava changed the duration,then when I tried changing the distance down to what I did the pace went up or down and I tried changing the speed also and it changed the distance. How can it be manual activity and entry if Strava is changing things it's not meant to?! 

Hello,I understand you use third party services to handle your maps and routing, I just wanted to highlight Strava frequently suggests routes that are dangerous. Strava has the capability to flag segments as dangerous, but not if Strava built routes are. Here is the route strava suggests I take from Great Cross Hall Street to Hunter Street (Liverpool UK)This is an illegal turn turning through a busy intersection on a major A road through the city. There is ample bicycle tracks around this area, however Strava routes across 4 lanes of traffic with each lane heading in a different direction.I understand the map makes it look semi-possible to cross, but due to the lights and the (unsigned) right turn only in the middle, it is not possible. Here is how google routes it:

What about the ability to split gear/bikes into sub categories ie. Chain, so can keep a track of waxing lubing schedules and to see if a certain lube/method works better. Or tyres, add your tyres to keep an eye on mileage etc. 

Hi! Is there any way to filter search climbing segments -w ratings- in my area? I want to try'em all!

How to reproduce:Edit running goal to be some number of hours per week (e.g 50)Save itEdit running goal to be that same number of miles per week (50)Result: it says set to hours. You have to change the numeric value in order for it to change to a different goal type (miles -> hours, hours -> miles)

I've been using another app to record my routes for over 10 years and have now switched to Strava. I can upload 25 tracks at once and after about 4 repetitions I probably reached a limit and am locked out for a day. I also have a premium subscription. I have about 8,000 tracks and apparently I can upload 100 per day. Then I would have to upload tracks for 80 days? Is there another solution?
