Strava Features Chat

I want to run a 5km race in France while on a ski trip.  In France it's mandatory to have a signed medical certificate from a GP confirming ability to participate.With the above in mind, is there a way I can share my running and HR data in Strava with my GP?  Ideally some kind of export to an Excel worksheet?  Thanks for any help!

I've noticed that some Kudos have only names, while others include both names and locations. How can I display only the names without including location information such as city and state?

My workout was uploaded to Strava from Garmin and all data was displayed including the map of my ride. As I was poking around looking at my stats all of a sudden the map disappeared. I can't seem to find a way of getting it back. I did a Google search and followed a few threads about maps disappearing, but no solution offered worked. I am simply looking at my workout via the Firefox browser. I am not using the app.

I have just moved over Strava onto a new Android phone and have ceased to receive notifications for Kudos or messages.  I have checked that Push is enabled, and it is. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have logged in and out. I have deleted Strava off my old device. I have unticked and reticked the Push Notifications within the app. NONE of this has worked sadly. It worked fine on my old Android device. Any ideas what to do anyone please? Thanks Greg

So, the only options for a swim is a commute?Can we get a pull down for lap swim and open water swim?  I'd also like to see a pull down for workout and race, just like for running and biking.  Shouldn't be a hard change.Oh, who would swim to work!??!

My strava won,t record my walks

I cannot see the goals in the desktop browser version of strava that have been set from the android app. I also cannot set the goals on the desktop browser version of Strava like i need and can in the android app.Would like to have 5 distance goals.- Gravel biking annual (1) and Monthly (2) and Mountain biking Annual (3) and weekly (4). Total of both (5). This is doable in the android side.Is there something i just don't understand? The Goals field on the dashboard can only show total of all biking disciplines which is not very helpful. All seem fine in the Android app. Are these disconnected on purpose or is this a glitch? I would assume that a lot of people would like to track and see the goals vs completed distance on the dashboard with different biking categories separated.Thanks already for the guidance.

I recently adjusted my map visibility preferences to hide the start and end points within 200 m of my home address (which would include all past activities).  At least that is what the app said it was going to do.  Instead, it hid the entire map for ANY activity which started or ended at my home address (even for rides that were 30 km long).  This meant that 98% of my rides were hidden - which meant I lost my place on every single leaderboard and every Local Legend that I had.  Am I the only user that experienced this?  Is there any way to undo this in bulk?  (I went and manually unhid all my activities from the past three months, which was quite consuming.)Any activities which I have recorded since making the adjustment seem to be hiding only the start and end points.

I'd like to look back at my training from 3 years ago, when I did something "right" and had better power than I do now. The current design of the Fitness & Freshness graph maxes at 2 years or "All-Time" which goes back to 2013 for my graph. The ability to zoom in on a section of that graph, like we can the various "Analysis" graph, would be great. 

Is the home feed/dashboard now limited to 50 activities before it says "No more recent activity available"? 50 activities is rather low limit. It seems to keep getting lower and lower. What will the next limit be? 25 activities?

It seems odd that the graph below for the yearly goal shows only 11 months and January is excluded. The labels under the graph show Jan where the data for February is. See the picture below:Any progress starting from February 1st is shown properly on the graph and you can see whether it is below or above the goal line. But anything logged in January is shown as a dot at the beginning. That seems like a really odd design.Also, I should mention that if the goal is exceeded at the end of December, that doesn't fit on the graph because the top of the graph aligns with the goal line.  

Hi! I want to create a challenge. 10 km per week for 12 weeks period. How can I create this? Based on below, I would assume the counter does not reset every week.  As of now I've created: Group Challenge --> Most Activity --> Distance --> Kilometers --> Run --> Start date + End date (12 weeks) --> Name & Description.  Appreciate any input, 

I see in the activity tab yearly stats for running, cycling and swimming. But I want to know how many times I went surfing. How do I see that? 

Is it possible to create a challenge where i challenge each group member to complete a goal, ie everyone complete a 5k, and at the end i can see who all completed that distance in a single run/walk? This is for a sports club! I just want to post a weekly 'challenge' ( and be able to check everyone off easily!!)

Hi,Subscription level: SubscriberGoal: As a user, especially the one paying, I want to create a group challenge that offers a group goal and shows a leaderboard. Roadblocks & examples: As a user, I currently cannot create a challenge that meets these needs. It is possible to create a Group Goal challenge, but that one doesn't show a leaderboard. Similarly, Strava offers the Most Activity challenge which does show a leaderboard but where participants do not work on a group goal. Earlier conversations on this topic: I found one conversation called Group Challenges User Interface that is similar to the problem I pose above, but where the accepted answer is not satisfactory in my case.&n

It’s great that Strava offers McMillan training schedules, but it is frustrating that those are on accessible on the website and not within the app. Ideally, they would be customizable for all race/run distances and frequency ;currently they don’t offer 10 mi and when you select 2-3 runs a week, it gives you a 4 run schedule. 🫠.)Also, I’d love to be able to integrate this with a calendar so that I can adjust my runs per my schedule. 

Hi!I am using Strava a few years now, and I have some older activities that had the elevation corrected by the old feature when you clicked over the elevation value and corrected but I am seeing that the values where very different from reality. I want to re-run the elevation correction with the new feature but clicking the 3 dots menu I don't have that option. How can I do it without exporting GPX, reimporting and loosing all comments and kudos?

Recently I was riding and every time I completed a mile, the elapsed time for the mile would pop up at the top of the screen.  However now I don’t see that anymore.  I love that feature and want to know how to enable it again. 

As of a few days ago, my audio notifications have stopped working. Strava doesn't announce when I start or stop a work out or my miles. I am using Android on a Samsung phone. I have tried all of the following:- Reboots- Uninstalling/re-installing Strava (with reboots)- All 4 volumes are up- Matching my Text-to-Speech language with my system language (English on both)- Turning off and on the audio cues for miles and start/stop- With and without headphones. I hear other notifications, such as texts in both cases Any other ideas?Thanks,Tim

Hello Strava Community! I rode 6600 km this year, with a part of this kilometers done through commuting. I am curious to know which part has been achieved through commuting, and which part achieved through "standard" ride. Is there a way to compute / display this information easily in Strava (mobile or laptop version)? I have been looking for it, and the training recap is weekly, not doing a total of km for a given year.Thanks for your help, and let me know if my request is not clear! Gilles D.

I ride 2 Mountain Bikes but can only set one of them to default sport "Mountain Bike". The moment I try and set the other bike also to default "Mountain Bike" the first bike default is "Blanked out". Why is that?Also, for those of us who travel regularly and use a hotel stationary bike it would be cool to have a bike type option "stationary bike".And while I am at it, I also ride a "hybrid flatbar" which is neither road nor mountain, can there not be a "Hybrid" type option. 

My “routes” continue to show that I am “offline” and won’t load anything, and won’t let me create a new route. Tried deleting the app and turning off/on phone. Suggestions?

Very often when using Strava and linking outside in anyway it has way too much friction. 1. sample 1 -BWR announces a new segment and posts the link. Upon click of link asks me to download app. It’s already downloaded. I click get app. It redirects me to the app, but to my feed,  it the view of the original links. Fix this. 2.i post a Strava ride on instagram. People click it. They get the same login/ redirect issue. if you platform wants to grow and stay relevant make it easy to post and share. Outsiders need to see some of the inside before experiencing high friction points. Look at instagram. Let’s you land on content then after time/ actions asks you to login. asking for login and being high friction before social value is exchanged deters both posters  from sharing and lookers from seeing. 

I'm a free user and agreed to the data exchange between Garmin and Strava. However, I noticed that each time my cycling activity updates on Strava, it doesn't sync automatically to Garmin Connect. Is it because this feature isn't supported for free users?

Hello colleagues I have created a private club defined as "cycling".Several members have been added to the group. Unfortunately, I've recently noticed that some member activities are not showing up in weekly. I checked and the cycling activities that are missing are set as public, so it's not a question of permissions.Have you encountered such a situation?    Thanks.
