The best efforts in Strava are all distances: 400m, 1k, 1 mile, 5k, etc. It would be nice to have also time based efforts like the best 12 minute run.

One rationale for this request is that it is a standard way to measure fitness. The following article mentiones other test too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooper_test?wprov=sfla1

Yeah true that way you could compare Cooper test results with others and other such metrics

This is an excellent idea - it would provide athletes with another useful tool to see their progress during time. Measuring a Cooper test by yourself isn’t very easy/accurate, but simply taking the 12 fastest minutes segment (as Strava does with the other Best Efforts) from any activity would make a great difference.
