As a current admin of one club and member of others, I think the lack of club level routes a huge missed opportunity for creating an even more engaging, positive club experience. Allowing a club to save routes to their club profile would allow for the following:
Routes vetted by the club and members will give users and new members the peace of mind that these routes are safe. If you're new to the area, new to running, or looking to explore, you know that the local club knows the area the best. It can be scary trying to find new places to run in a new city/area.
Clubs can create routes for all skill levels. Further helping people who want to challenge themselves take the additional task of planning out of their workload.
Clubs can remove sponsored routes when those paths/trails are undergoing maintenance, have flooded, or have become unsafe in another way.
Clubs can help people train by creating routes for upcoming local races. So members can get familiar with the courses and practice.
People look to their clubs for camaraderie, guidance, and confidence building. Why not allow them to provide vetted routes for everyone as well!
Suggestion, I think it's something that could easily be added here. Along with the posts tab.
I've seen in other posts here that creating events was suggested as the solution to this. But I still think this deserves another post and its own area within a club's profile.
