I noticed that on a long climb (more than 45minutes) i can see a great number of usefulness segments each one 1 or two minutes longs while the full climb is may times hidden, I don't know the criteria strava uses do decide by default which segmnets to hide but I would like to have an app setting or filter to hide by default the ranking of segments shorter than a determinate time or to show all the segments longer.   ... I would love to see climb category in  activities in mobile app. Now only the Strava website shows climb category in  activities.  I love to go out riding in hilly country and usually go really deep on the climbs. After the ride I want to see how I did, but then I often need to wade through 100s of segments, not always having a very descriptive name for those climbs.  With the climb category next to the segment name I could zoom in directly to what matters: how did I do on that climb? ... Hi! We are a big community of people practicing « circus » sports as aerial hoop, aerial silk and static pole fitness or aerial pole. These athletes are usually training a lot and very hard and are combining aerial sports trainings with strenght trainnings, flexibility, yoga, even outdoor activities such as climbing and hiking, motocross, etc. Sometimes people add dance also to their aerial trainings. I love that we can change our default shoes for trail runs vs. road runs vs. hiking vs. walking etc. But I wear the same shoes for all of these. What I use DIFFERENT shoes for is workouts vs. generic runs vs. races. I would love to be able to record my workout on my watch, and view it either on my watch or my phone. I like to get the heart rate from my Strava on my watch, but I like to view my ride on my phone. I mark what shoes I used on running and walking activities, then when I see total shoe distance, both on profile page or gear settings, it will show me total for both activities type, it makes sense but it would be nice to see total distance for one activity type only. For example, if a shoe was used on 1.500km, maybe it needs to be replaced but if was used only on 400km for running, maybe not, the point is we can't see this last number. Since I don`t run, I see no reason for that activity to be displayed on my "best efforts" section. It`s mildly annoying to have running there, because whenever I click on my "best efforts" the first thing that appears are my non-existant running stats.  ... View more

Strava is an international app used all over the globe, and many athletes practice sports outside their country of origin/residence, whether on vacation, on business trips or for international competitions. Hello, I'd like to propose a simple idea: add your country's flag next to your name, a bit like on a Zwift account. As Strava is an international app used all over the world, it could be interesting to quickly see form which countries are people from just by seeing their flag after their name. Dear Strava, To enhance the app, I propose adding functionality to start recording via an NFC shortcut. This feature will allow users to place an NFC tag on their bike and start recording simply by scanning the tag with their smartphone. It will improve the user experience by providing a quick and hands-free way to initiate recording, which is especially useful for cyclists. Implementing this feature should be straightforward.   I think Strava should incorporate a feature that allows you to track two separate activities in one activity period. I often find myself exercising(running/walking/yoga/etc) and incorporating multiple forms of these in one activity. For example, when I go on a run and then a walk immediately after - if I want an accurate stat report I have to track those as two activities. For both myself and others this is often inconvenient and I end up using the same activity period for both which ends up skewing any sort of analytical results I may want. Having a quick and accessible way to separate the activities either during or after the period would help to provide accurate data on the users exercise and keep all activity during that exercise period in one place.  ... I would like to be able to change the color of global heatmap in the android app. The current color is very hard to see. I do a lot of trail running where there's low activity and the current color makes the global heatmap pretty useless. Attaching a side-by-side comparing where you can really see the different level of details change between old and new version.  I'm suggesting an "Edit" option in map settings, as already present for "My heatmaps", where you can the change color.  Screenshots: Suggestion marked with red. Like most of us, I compete with people on chosen segments... when I want to perform ride analysis, I can see speed, power, heart rate, temp, etc... in graph format. This also allows me to move a slider along to analyze my metrics at particular points of a segment and see the gradient of the segment. I would like to be able to see this same information against other people on the same slider.... for example, i have a friend who is 1 minute ahead of me, i want to check along a segment when he is putting more effort than me, or when he rests slightly, and i can take advantage...  I imagine on the analysis screen, I could select someone I follow to compare their effort on the same analysis screen using the same slider. I know i can see a total speed/time comparisons elsewhere but it doesn't give me the detail i would want to do a more in-depth analysis.
