I would like to identify two points and have Strava compare all the times I have ridden between those two points and tell me the shortest, longest, fastest routes. This would be particularly useful to use my home and office as the two points and I could see which route was the fastest commute, or which was my longest ever commute. But it could also be useful for other similar reasons. I would like to see a heatmap of all rides between those two points. I would like to see statistics of rides between those two points. Thanks!

Hi @powerbenny

Thanks for posting about this.  Are you familiar with Strava segments?  You can use segments on Strava to track your times between two points.  Every time you complete a segment, you time is stored, and you can view your historical times on any segment.

There is a filter on each segment leaderboard called My Results. On the web, you can filter the mini-leaderboard or select 'View full leaderboard' and filter the leaderboard on the next page. My Results will list your segment efforts in ascending order by segment time. You can compare your time, speed (or pace), heart rate, power, or the date the segment was completed to track your progress.

There are many pre-existing segments on Strava, but you can also create segments, When you do that, you have the choice to make the segment public, or you can keep it private and use it to track your own results only.

I hope that's helpful information.  Let us know if you have questions.

Hello Jane, thank you for responding to me.

Yes, I am familiar with Segments. A Segment is for a specific route between two points.

What I am proposing is to be able to define two points and consider any rides between them regardless of the route that was taken. It is a significantly different proposition.

Hello. We wanted to let you know that your idea submission from March of 2023 will be archived. While this idea is interesting, we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this and currently aren’t able to prioritize this idea.

Please note that your feedback is valuable to Strava. As stated in our Community Idea Guidelines, we receive many idea submissions each week, and realistically, there may be various reasons that prevent us from including an idea on our Product Roadmap.

We want to thank you for taking the time to submit your idea and we look forward to your continued contributions to the Strava Community.

Jane, I am sad that my idea has failed to reach the level required to be prioritised. I'll try harder next time.

Have a great day.

@powerbenny Don't be sad, there wasn't anything you could have done. The number of kudos and supporting comments is irrelevant, Strava only implement things they like for themselves and have the resources for.
