Having to constantly update weight in Strava seems a bit counter-intuitive when there are integrations to sync activities to Health/Fitness apps, why can't our weight be synced in? I always forget to change it, and when I remember, I might be a couple kilos outdated so my stats are unreliable, and even getting to the page to update it is annoying to get to.

Does this iOS Health setting not work to update your weight in Strava?

I don’t actually know, because I’ve used an IfTTT automation to sync my weight from my Withings scale for years, and never checked if Strava could do it on its own.

It would be a shame if it didn’t work, because Runkeeper read my weight from Health perfectly back when I used it.

I tried both ways, changing my weight with an IfTTT automation and directly in the Health App, both had the same results. The weight will NOT be updated in my Strava Profile. I have connected Strava with Health and activated all sync settings in the Settings App for Strava.

Thanks for submitting your idea to have your weight sync with the Health App. It has been reviewed by our moderation team and is now open to voting.

This should be fairly simple on your end.

Why should we write another app, authenticate with oAuth and do it via POST request??!!!

If I have Garmin sync to Strava - please take weight from Garmin. Why it's not implemented? (My scale is sync to Garmin, and Garmin sync to Strava, so it already have connection)

Since there are integrations to sync activities to health/fitness apps, it seems a little counterintuitive to have to regularly update our weight in Strava. Why can't our weight be synchronized? My stats are erratic because I never remember to update it, and even getting to the page to do so is a hassle. When I do remember, I might be a few kilograms out of date.

I’d love to see this feature too.

Why automatic update of the weight data from Garmin is not possible on my Strava profile?
It works on Intervals.icu (free version) and it's impossible on Strava!

Thanks in advance for your answer and for this necessary upgrade.

What irritates me about this is if I go in and update my weight, it updates every **bleep** ride with that weight. Going back three years! That is totally unacceptable. I should be able to go to past rides and see what I weighed at that time and then see what I weighed during today's ride. And I guarantee you there should be a 30 pound difference between rides three years ago and today's ride.

On my Garmin Edge 530 the actual weight is already stored in each activity file (fit). So updating the weight while importing the fit file should be possible as well. No clue, why this is so hard for Strava.

Patrick, welcome to the Strava magic world!
We can send ideas... but we never have answers and updates 😠

Have same need.

Any updates to implementation progress - or link to the voting?

I just updated manually my weight in Strava because I bought new running shoes and had to add them to my profile and I used the opportunity to click around and see if something needed my attention (as it turned out, something did indeed need it). The weight was at least seven months outdated since the last time I updated it I was still pregnant. I gave birth at the end of August 2023 and have been training regularly ever since. Of course, keeping my weight in Strava up to date has been the last of my concerns in the past few months. :') Now I weigh 14 kilos less and I just can't imagine what difference in the stats will be there next time I run.

To be fair, I am surprised this feature has only been requested last year and still hasn't been implemented. I googled this question in the hopes that this was a missed setting on my side but what do I see...

How many kudos should a feature request get before it gets picked up by the team that will implement it?
