Lately, the Strava app on my iphone 14 has become unusable on longer runs and tours. After 2 hours, my battery went from 90% to 25%. Comparably, on OnX Backcountry, my battery only goes down 5-10% after 2 hours. On other tracking and map apps, you can set the GPS update and recording intervals, such as 10 seconds or 10 meters. On Strava, there are no such options and it seems to update constantly. Accuracy is nice, but it would be nicer to use strava for longer trips!

Hi,I started using the app, and got a G2R Multi watch. In his application (Mwatch) it is possible to share my physical activities with STRAVA, but when sharing and allowing the sharing of data appears ERROR 403 in the strava app, saying that this application has already exceeded the number of connected athletes.  How do I solve that? i would love to sync the apps. 

I’m trying to join a family plan, but I keep getting a message saying, “You must live in the same country to join their family plan.” My country is set to the UK in my settings, but when I try to join the plan, the price shows in dollars ($) instead of pounds (£).I contacted Strava support almost a week ago, but I haven’t heard back yet. Can anyone please help me fix this?Thank you

My account it attached to an email I do not have access to anymore.   I want to change it but the request goes to the old email?…  I have a ticket and am wondering how long it takes to get a response.   Just read another person who had the same issue and one thing mentioned is they would reach out on email if more information is needed.   That won’t work if they request to the old email??  Any suggestions or can someone let me know how long it typically takes before there is a response?   Thanks.Joe

 Hello everyone,I am currently busy with indoor training on my Tacx. Both for better condition but certainly also to greatly improve my FTP and VO2max.For example, I have done a Tabatata interval training almost every week in the past few weeks. First a good warm-up followed by 3x 9 sessions of 20 seconds >500W, 10 seconds rest and then 10 minutes of easy cycling. At the end I added 2 "intervals" of around my FTP (339W/ 2,83W/kg).This is also clearly visible in my graphs on the Strava website and on Garmin Connect (sorry). If I look at the same training in my Strava App, it does not correspond to reality at all. I am missing the 2nd interval session here. I do see a small increase but not as the others are displayed.The graphs of my heart rate/speed and cadence do correspond to each other.Known problem/ bug?

I would like the option to mark sections of roads and specify surface type and personal notes of interest (ex. “muddy passage”, “avoid when raining”, “Fast cat. 1 gravel”, “very scenic view”) to help with route planning. These could offcourse be open for sharing too.After years of riding and mapping your local area it becomes very difficult to keep track of these things, and if I wanted to plan a fast, smooth gravel ride with some scenic views, it would be great to be able to have your own previous experiences as help.When it comes to surface types I know Strava suggests contributing data to the OSM, but this is a very slow and imprecise way of adressing this. I have literally hundreds of road sections around here where the surface type-feature is of limited help, even if correct, and I have to rely solely on memory for surface type and possible obstacles. Would love to see a calendar view of all club invites.  What’s on tap for this week - look at calendar view and see all of the runs/rides that are scheduled for the week from the various clubs you belong to.  Currently you have to click on each club individually to see what is happening with each club.

After my Wahoo Elmnt Roam bike computer died, I have been using an old smartphone with android apps instead of a dedicated bike computer. I noticed that Wahoo Fitness and Strava have some significant limitations when it comes to either customisable metrics being displayed (both Wahoo & Strava) and BT sensor support (Strava only supports HR, not Cadence, Speed or Power). For example, “Ride with GPS” has a fully customisable metrics screen  (even with the free version!) and supports many different types of sensors.  It would be much better if Strava supported more than just HR and it is quite insulting to subscribers to suggest it has been “resolved” with the topic linked here:  https://communityhub.strava.com/topic/show?tid=5083&fid=6  Furthermore, the Strava metrics screen should be customizable with more than just Speed, Distance, Time and HR, e.g. it should support other B

Hi,I would like to select a date when I retire a part. This is extremely useful if I want to track the usage of e.g. tires. I may have forgotten to retire on the exact date of exchange and today I cannot do this in the UI. It is possible in the “Add Component” function. Desired state:When I click “Retire” show a selection box “Today” “Retired on” (with date box) Thank you for considering this.

Strava activity feed nicely sums up key stats of a ride (or run, swim, etc) that we post to review, and for followers to see.  For example for cycling it’s distance, elevation, average speed/max speed, time.  I propose that maximum grade be shown as well, since it’s a key difficulty element of a ride. Since the feed already shows max speed as an element of average speed, likewise max grade is an element of overall elevation.  It’s an important component of a ride’s (or run, hike, etc) difficulty, and something most are interested in knowing, not to mention bragging rights, and a topic of conversation.Seems very simple to add this bit of data to our Strava activity posts.  Thoughts please?  

We need a feature where you can share your planned upcoming runs/rides with your friends.It’s a nightmare to work out who’s keen and get organised for a run or ride, yet exercising together is so much better, so please can Strava make it way easier to do! E.g. you’d share a proposed cycle route map/departure location & time, and speed range, and you can request to join if it looks like a fit for you. What am I missing?!  

When setting an address based map privacy radius, there should be an option to hide all parts of route that enter that radius, not just the start and finish.

I do not want to see virtual rides of other riders on my feed!  Please create a filter to users have the choose what types of rides to see. 

I would like to manually add the elevation gain I did with the treadmill

The new vehicle detection feature when mountain biking really sucks guys. As can be seen in the photo below all my downhill segments haven't been added to Strava leader boards due to this ‘issue’. The road that we drive up is a dedicated fire road for shuttles only. no riders at all ride up this hill. Its signposted all the way up.As this is a bike park basically everyone that ever rides here again with strava wont have their times added to leader boards as we all get this stupid vehicle msg. Fair enough if it was on the road and its stolen someones segment up hill but that will never happen in bike parks. PLEASE HELP 

Good day, i have a concern about accidentally subscription on strava app, because when i download it i click the free trial because i want to use and know the features of your app, so i click the free trial. but then, yesterday (march 2, 2025) i got a text message about my e wallet (gcash) that says i made a transaction but i really didn't, so upon searching about my situation, I'm not the only one who experienced it. then yesterday i tried to get a refund request to google play because of what i searched online about the procedure when you accidentally purchased to sn google app but i received their email to me that says it didn't meat their policies of refund, so now I decided to reach out to you to try considering my refund request because the money is not really meant for me, and i really need it back. i hope it finds you all and thank you.

Hi !When comparing the progress graph, the curves end or start to zero. It would be very nice to add one dot in graph to get nicer curves.For instance, if you look to the image below: I am comparing 3 months with the 3 previous months. The blue curve ends to zero, and the orange curve starts at 0. However I didn’t take any break during the last 6 months. I am at least running 10km per week. So why do I get curve going to 0 ?Actually the last white O symbol  of the blue curve should get the value of the first orange O symbol of the orange curve.Maybe the last 0 white symbol of the blue curve should not be displayed, like in the start of the orange curve there is no 0 white symbol (where the orange curve is 0). So the 0 white symbol could indicates on which segment (blue or orange) the week belongs to, if the symbol is on the orange curve, then this week was counted in the orange curve, and if the symbol is on the blue curve, then the week was counted insid

How long does it take to hear back from strava support to change my profile country between Canada & the US? Support ticket has been open for almost a month with no response. 

Just wanted people to know be careful of a man on Strava by the name of Micheal Sepulveda, also goes by Robert Sepulveda on facebook and messenger. This is nothing more than a romance scam. He claims to be in the military and will give you a sob story about how he shouldn’t be messaging you because he’ll get into big trouble if he’s found out. Also claims how lost his parents in tragic accident and his wife cheated on him and left his 2 kids with him, none of this is true. I didn’t have a good feeling about this situation, because he professed his love shortly into messaging, so l decided to google his name and realized that his image had been stolen and also there is YouTube videos on the real Robert Sepulveda talking about how his image had been stolen.

Hi I need help… I tried emailing, tweeting. Even submitted a ticket. Still no response.  I signed up Strava account using Apple ID using facial id recognition. And I would like to change my email address yet I’m not been able to because I need a password to be sent to my email address to follow the instructions. But I wasn’t given a password when I signed up Strava using Apple login. I didn’t realise it’d give me a different email address that you provided. Had I know it wasn’t gonna use my email address to login as it’s what I used my iCloud etc I would’ve signed up using the email instead of Apple login and given some random email that was provided by you.  please please respond, as I don’t know how long this customer service is taking.   

Fastest and simplest way to improve segments features

Hello All i just wonder maybe i do something wrong but experience strange scenario after import activity to strava from GPX file. So, i use Garmin BaseCamp app to export my Hike i export two file (two different hikes). After import ot Strava as activity  using Win11 and web Strava  page one activity populate all info like time details,  heart rate, elevation details where second activity missing this data and populate as value 0.i don’t see differences in GPX file all values are there , when i import to app like: alltrails or garmin connect all values are there after import.What can be a reason of this behavior , any Idea?
