Strava Features Chat

It's difficult to pick a sport based on bike type.  I ride an e-bike, it is marketed as a e-mtb, but I use it almost exclusively for Gravel Rides.  So what would be the intuitive choice to make for the Sport??  Very confusing.  Can there be clarification on how to make the choice?  Also, why are Best Efforts not included in the profile for all Sport types??

I've recently noticed that in addition to segment PRs I've had a third fastest over 50 km medal. Frustratingly, there appears to be nowhere to check best efforts over time/distance for cycling although there is one for running. I assume the data is there otherwise how did Strava know that was my 3rd fastest time. Why is there no equivalent table for cycling - it's like finding out you're 3rd on a segment but having no segment leaderboard to judge how far off moving up a place is. Can we have a cycling Best Efforts table please?

It seems there's been some changes I can't figure out. On the mobile app, I can no longer access my saved routes via Maps. I can hit record, press the squiggly line button and then choose to use a saved route. But I rarely use it that way.  Before I could just go to my saved via Maps, check out the route profiles like elevation etc, and then head back out of that. For example to use when I'm not running.  Anyway, does anyone know what happened and if there is a new way to scroll through my file of save routes?  Thanks 

UPDATE FROM STRAVA: Hi all! We've released a fix that should resolve this issue! Please let us know if you are still missing activities from your personal heatmap.   Looks like no activity routes have updated on my heatmap since March 25th. I did the trick for a few (changing the sport back and forth) and that seemed to work. But I won't be doing that for the 25~ or so activities I have done since March 25th.  What's going on Strava? Heatmaps are the only reason I pay for premium and it would be nice if they worked. 

Your Strava fitness number has nothing to do with fitness. It goes up when you overtrain and down when you taper for a marathon. Strava should rename it to what it really is: "recent training load."

Hello there, I'm trying to re-ignite this post after a few months of "forgetting about it".... I've tried submitting a support ticket/request, but the problem is my account password and email address are null and void, which is the original problem! Therefore it's impossible for me to create a ticket as I'm always asked to login. So I'm just going round in circles!! Can I simply create a new account and import the data of all my historic bike rides etc, across to the new account??  Please advise. P.s. hopefully you can view the attached screenshot of my attempt to "change email"....and view the random email address created by Google play many years ago(I was 36 then and 49 now!). I never used it for anything other than Strava, and I've remained permanently logged in to this day, hence I've no idea what the password is. I've tried the obvious ones with no luck.  This email address is 13 years old and never used as a primary address. 

On interval training, I often want to copy the details (what reps, etc) from when I've done the activity before. It would be nice to find that older activity, immediately highlight the text, and copy/paste it to the new activity. But I have to go into 'edit' the older activity to highlight the text, then 'save/discard' the no change, in order to get that text. So the ability to highlight and then copy any text on the main page would be a useful addition. Android app.

Recently the Orange heatmap that is used to show where you have been as 'Personal Heatmap' in route creation has changed.Im just wondering if there is a way of changing it back to the old orange personal heatmap as this new version is horrid for trying to discern roads that haven't been ridden.

I am very satisfied with Strava. However, not about displaying long activities among all other activities of your followers and sharing a long activity @Social Media.For example, yesterday I cycled the touring version of the Amstel Gold Race. This took me about 8:45 hours.If I look to and share my activity, the elapsed time is displayed there. This is 3 hours longer. So everyone thinks I cycled for 11:45 at a very slow pace. Why do you see the moving time on short routes and the elapsed time on long routes? 

I exported from Zepp files in .cvs format. Is it possible to import it into Strava account? I want to see all data in one account.Thanks in advance for help.

Hi All, I am having serious problems with my Strava PB’s and Best Efforts. I have recently go back into running and have started to take it more seriously than ever before, however, I have noticed that when completing my runs my account is no longer showing when I have got a PR, even though it should have. And according to Strava I only have one PB for a 5K I did years ago.  I have gone onto the desktop and refreshed my Best Efforts but to no avail. I have attached some images for context.    Thanks! 

I different types of workouts on Strava and the training log ends up a bit of a mess.  For some reason there is a huge differentiation in color for Ride (strava orange) vs Virtual Rides (redish-brown)... but then "Weight Lifting" is also redish-brown?? Makes viewing and looking for trends/patterns and planning upcoming activities tricky.  Can someone update these colors, or maybe default to some different ones based on what is used?   For instance if someone only uses Strava for Rides, Golf, Football, Sailing, and Skateboarding... every circle would be ORANGE based on the legend.  Can this maybe be adjustable? Can Ride and Virtual Ride be closer in color so as to not be the same as WeightTraining?

Please can we change the units we use for different sports - I like to use miles for running and cycling but I don’t want to see yards for swimming I’d like to see meters instead. This shouldn’t be too hard to implement and I’m sure people would really appreciate it 

Strava does a LOT of things well.  One area they desperately need to improve upon is communicating with their users.  I have been told by customer support that the developers read and review our ideas, but in my experience, they fail to communicate with the user population.  A great example is the increasing activity in requesting the rucking add.  They are silent to our inquiries.  I'm sure if I dug into other ideas, I would find a similar lack of acknowledgment of the users.Strava, communication is paramount to loyalty.  This ask isn't unreasonable; we don't expect an answer to every comment, but periodic updates make your customers feel valued, especially considering a membership is on the higher end.  You aren't doing a good job selling value by ignoring users asking questions.

Strava famously makes login for existing users difficult in order to make it maximise the ease of the signup flow. I take that as a given, even if I don't like it very much.But:Please introduce some abort function in the signup flow! I recently stumbled into the signup flow to to being unconcentrated and being unsure which of my email adresses (yes, that's a thing, people who have more than one) to use for login and getting back to the login screen was almost impossible without a brute force cookie reset!Suggestions, would not hurt to implement all of them:offer a path from signup to login on posting an email address already connected to an account (if that already exists: it lacks compatibility with addresses on a subdomain!)an abort button somewhere on the modal dialog that requires name and birthday before any interaction including logoutan abort option in the confirm email address mail. We went for a long ride this morning. once home, I synced my garmin edge with Garmin connect. Shortly after that, the app updated. i wanted to look at my ride in Strava and found out that my ride wasn’t uploaded. Anyone had the same issue? What should I do? thanks for your help!

Please could somebody help! I accidentally deleted my London Marathon run from Sunday and it had so many lovely comments that I'm afraid ill never get back.I have submitted three ticket requests to Strava - two of which have been marked as solved but have had no response to say if it can and will be restored? I noticed that when the same exact Zwift climb from the climb portal, appears in both Watopia and France, Strava can't compare the segments, likely due to their different names. Because of GPS or some other reason that I don't know about: When I finish 1 activity and start another activity (within 1 minute) the GPS is showing 2 different locations (in the same area is park) so I was suspected by the organizers of using 2 Apple Watches and 2 iPhones to log in with 1 account. How can you check for me: how many phones and how many watches I am using when connecting (syncing) to this 1 account (Log or Device ID…)I want to prove that I don't cheat and give my best to the competition.

Hello! I have one question though! When I go to the gym for a spin class, I can't directly add the distance covered to my profile? Am I not able to do it or is it not possible? Every time I have to manually add the spin workout and the distance, and it's not convenient.Can you explain this to me or provide a solution? Thanks!
