Hello! We are a Chinese company, and we have applied for Strava's developer API. We aim to use Strava user's exercise data through authorization and generate exercise trajectory videos on our Tooolive product, making this a very exciting endeavor.However, we have a few questions that we would like Strava to address:Can Chinese Strava users authenticate through OAuth2? We have received feedback from users about this issue. How can we resolve it?Is it possible to download exercise data from Strava's API in FIT format, or is it limited to GPX format? If FIT format export is possible, could you please provide guidance on how to do it?Thank you!.

So I was in a challenge (contest) that ended at midnight. I logged my final activity shortly before and was in the lead. Midnight came and went and I was in 1st place! I was happy I won and went to bed.I woke up this morning, and I can see now that I’m no longer #1. Nearly an hour after midnight, someone had  backdated a new entry, logging an additional activity, and that pushed me to 2nd place. How is that fair? Why does the Strava app not have something in place to prevent this? Now the admin of our challenge will see the other guy in 1st place and declare him the winner 

For the first time in several weeks I tried to create a route a few days ago on my iMac using Chrome and some way into the creation of the route it’s like the webpage refreshed and cleared the entire page, it was completely blank. The only thing showing in my browser was the URL. I then tried it again, and the same thing happened. I gave up.I’ve just tried creating a route again today, this time on my iPad in Safari and it has done the same thing - part way into the creation of the route the page goes blank. I really need to create this route prior to my long run in a couple of hours so I’ve saved it, and keep going back and editing it to extend it because i can’t seem to create it in one go without this problem. It is happening over and over and over. I can’t even seem to add 1km to it without the page going blank. It has made route creation completely unusable for me.

Hi! I have a problem with my Telegram bot which uploads activity files to your Strava accounts.I've made it so you first publish the activity through the bot, and then you can change it's name/description/type etc.And here lies the problem: when the bot changes the type of an activity through the API, the default gear doesn't set automatically, so you have to log in the Strava app and change it manually.Is there a way to set shoes/bikes for the activity via the API?Also, I remember previously gear items had "primary" parameter, which, i think, corresponded with the Default equipment in the UI. But now, since developers added the default sports list to the gear, the "primary" parameter is always set to "false" and cannot be changed, hence the gear can't be set automatically when editing activity via API. Am I right or missing something?

Hi All,My group ride has started using waypoints on our routes.Each weekend a route is sent out that includes waypoints and everybody else on the ride can see them on their garmins, but I can't.If I look at the route in Strava on my pc, the waypoints aren't showing, so I'm assuming this is where the issue is.Does anybody have any idea why I can't see the waypoints?My strava account is set to private, could this be causing the issue?Any advice gratefully received.Thanks

I set 3 goals (all are power goals) today and as you can see they are listed as "undefined on undefined"

Dear all, I am checking different segments on my regular route and noticed that the progress isnt showing a lot of deviation although I increase a lot. This is because there is this one time that got recorded with a flat tire. So went way over my usual time and now im looking into hiding this effort from the segment.This activity with the effort was a couple of months ago and was visible for everyone, therefor i tried to hide the complete activity to make it disappear, but it keeps on showing the effort.are there any options?

I would like to know is there a way to add a manual activity without Strava changing the pace,speed or distance? For example, yesterday I did a mile in 20 mins,at 7.57 for a run and when I added the distance and speed Strava changed the duration,then when I tried changing the distance down to what I did the pace went up or down and I tried changing the speed also and it changed the distance. How can it be manual activity and entry if Strava is changing things it's not meant to?! 

Systm is no longer uploading the image file of the workout, nor the “Virtual” label, to Strava. This has started happening in the last few days after Strava has been updated several times in the past week. 

Hello,I would want to implement a feature in my app that would allow athletes to share their activity to other accounts automatically based on the activity title. However I was disappointed to see that there is no endpoint on the open api for that. I was wondering if there is any plan to add this feature in the near future? Thanks

Hello,I understand you use third party services to handle your maps and routing, I just wanted to highlight Strava frequently suggests routes that are dangerous. Strava has the capability to flag segments as dangerous, but not if Strava built routes are. Here is the route strava suggests I take from Great Cross Hall Street to Hunter Street (Liverpool UK)This is an illegal turn turning through a busy intersection on a major A road through the city. There is ample bicycle tracks around this area, however Strava routes across 4 lanes of traffic with each lane heading in a different direction.I understand the map makes it look semi-possible to cross, but due to the lights and the (unsigned) right turn only in the middle, it is not possible. Here is how google routes it:

Does strava only focus on running and cycling. I do a mix of golf, walking, running and hiking and segments seem to pop up more for running. Also statistics only have my running. I've done around 300km in hiking but all it shows is my 80km runs.

What about the ability to split gear/bikes into sub categories ie. Chain, so can keep a track of waxing lubing schedules and to see if a certain lube/method works better. Or tyres, add your tyres to keep an eye on mileage etc.

Hi   I have been using the GPS to track runs / walks / sailing / skiing / rides with no problem until this weekend.  Strava is getting stuck on "Getting GPS Fix" in a circle of doom.  Ive been on the forums and checked the Location services and the battery optimiser and the running in the background option.  No joy so far.  I've tested the GPS on the watch using Maps and it seems ok. Any ideas? Thanks

How to reproduce:Edit running goal to be some number of hours per week (e.g 50)Save itEdit running goal to be that same number of miles per week (50)Result: it says set to hours. You have to change the numeric value in order for it to change to a different goal type (miles -> hours, hours -> miles)

I've been using another app to record my routes for over 10 years and have now switched to Strava. I can upload 25 tracks at once and after about 4 repetitions I probably reached a limit and am locked out for a day. I also have a premium subscription. I have about 8,000 tracks and apparently I can upload 100 per day. Then I would have to upload tracks for 80 days? Is there another solution?

Hello Strava, I recently found an issue where images currently selected for posting cannot be viewed in full.I feel this would be a great addition so users can check photos are correct. You could potentially allow the images added to a manual activity to allow for a tap to display, then exit as chosen (X). Allowing users to find safety in posting photos from a photographical standpoint. Thanks.

When clicking the "Don't see the segment you're looking for?" link at the bottom of an activity, the list of potential segment matches is just a simple list, with no links to follow to the individual segment page. Would be very helpful to add this feature for route planning in areas with confusing overlapping trail segments, and for segments that are not heavily traveled and don't show up on the segment explore map.

For days now I can't see my notifications because the page is constantly loading, this is all I ever see! I have uninstalled the app, switched my phone on / off, logged in/ out and nothing seems to help. The app is constantly freezing as well.it's so frustrating I expect better when paying for a subscription service!  

Seem to get a “Mapbox GL not supported by browser” error now that I have moved across to IOS17. Is this an error on my part or a bug from the Apple update not allowing Strava to work?

I just noticed in my profile that today I made the 6,000 km in the year. BOOM!! When I switched to the dashboard view, I noticed that my annual goal only shows 5,948 km. What is true now? (Sorry for the German screenshots)

Good Day,I can not figure out how to get a list of Segments that an athlete has ridden. I can get the list of Activities in a given time period using the below. But, how do I then see if those Activities contain a certain segment? I can't figure out where/how to link an activity to a segment or link a segment to an activity or just search for a segment across an athlete's activities within a start/end date. https://www.strava.com/api/v3/athlete/activities?access_token=xxxxxxx&per_page=1&page=1&before=1704067200&after=1672531199The goal is that I want to see if an athlete has ever ridden a segment within a specified start/end date.  So,  " Did Bobby ride Segment A between StartDate and EndDate". Any guidance

I am unable to update the scope to activity:read of my Application as there seems to be a CORS error when the when a new auth token and refresh token are requested!  Any help would be appreciated!
