Strava Features Chat

Hi! I just bought a strava premium subscription in the understanding that I would be able to see my current running pace (rather than the average) as I am training with intervals in specific paces. Yet, I cannot seem to find this feature. Can anyone help me with this? :) 

On the sharing page, the format of my transparent image has always been different with others - no sports icon before (i.e. run, bike), and NOW:Now I just updated into the latest version, still no sports icon, and there’s one new item which doesn’t make sense at all added -  a “Carbon Saved 0.00 kg CO2” displayed on the page.(I didn’t choose anything on “Type of Ride”, not “Commute” either)Please see the attached screen shot. Does anyone know how to solve it (1. how to have the sports icon, 2. how to remove the Carbon Saved info)? 

When I want to share an activity, the statistics show the carbon saved instead of the elevation gain.I have commute turned off

Hi, i am using the new Strava template with transparent background for my bike ride, which so far were showing kilometer, Time, and positive elevation but my last few bike ride were only showing Time, kilometer, and CO2 saved (which always shows as 0 btw) i didnt change any thing in the settings, ils only on my 3 last bike ride i see the same data as before on the activity, but not on the template with transparent background (first one you see when you click share)

There still seem to be a few glitches with the revised Segment creation tool that was released a few weeks ago.  I recently realised that a Segment I created a while ago would be better if it was slightly shorter (the finish was a bit too close to an obstacle).  I therefore tried to edit it to reduce the length by about 10 metres (the length is about 600 m).  When I tried to save it I got an error saying it was too similar to an existing Segment and so would not be saved.  I don’t think there are any other similar Segments so I think the problem is that it was too similar to the original version before I started editing it 🤦‍♂️.  Hence the question - how should I make small changes to existing Segments ?  I suppose one way would be to delete the Segment and create a new version from scratch (I don’t know how I would find the Activity the original was created from, and it may have been deleted).While on the subject, could someone PLEASE reinstate the functionality that the Seg

I am a Strava subscriber. My connected followers have their power curve and power charts displayed in their Strava app. Also displays under results. I am not able to see this under my profile, only estimated power zones (which has always been there).Is the additional power curve graph and new power results a new feature? How do I enable? I have my bike weight and body weight configured - still nothing.

Why isn't there an option to see all my saved routes on the map at once? Since the map can show multiple nearby routes that are "powered by community data," then why isn't there a way to show just my routes? I don't want to have to go to my saved list and click individually for that single route to show on the map. I want a visual showing all of them.

I loved the sharing feature, but for cycling it now replaced altitude with "co2 saved". Seriously?!? I thought this was simply a fitness app, I do sports for my personal health ...Please let users choose the old vs new one (e.g. with a new "road cycling" sport)

Waiting for over a week now. No response from Strava support. Unable to add myself to a Family Subscription plan. 

Hey friends! I own a club/group on Strava to keep track of my athletes runs, but recently the button to look at the activities of the group is gone and was replaced with “event insights”. I haven’t changed any settings for anything to be different and would just like some help so I can see the activities in my group again please.

I ride walk and play tennis all of which I am able to record on my strava. Why then is Tennis not listed in any of the challenges as an included sport?

Some of my rides for 2023 (starting in July) have been marked as ridden with a bike I didn't acquire until Christmas 2023 !Bike 'Vitus' shows about 1200 km for that year, and a total of 6,013 km for all time. The bike is an e-bike so I can also read the mileage from its computer : 4838 km.These rides in 2023 were allocated to my other bikes bikes  'Scotty' and ‘Galaxy’ at the time.I know that I can go back and edit these rides (there are 25 of them) but I’m wondering what is the point of registering a ride against a bike if it’s nott going to be stored correctly in the database.

I’m quite an experienced Strava user having done about 1200 bike rides over the last 7 years.  I’m aware of the feature that auto-excludes Efforts that are considered infeasible, however, up to now I have not knowingly been affected by it.  I just noticed that in an Activity in April 2024 the first 4 Segments in a ride had been auto-excluded.  I looked at an analysis of the data and it did indeed show an infeasible speed over a short section - from 14 mph to 42 mph and back to 14 mph in about 4 seconds.  This occurred between about 0.08 and 0.13 miles into the Activity (close to home !).  The first 2 Segments included this range and so were reasonably excluded.  However the 3rd Segment started at about 0.26 miles and the 4th Segment to be excluded didn’t start until about 0.57 miles, well beyond the very short GPS anomaly.  Hence I’m wondering why the auto-exclude algorithm would exclude all 4 of these Segments ?  Does it need some tuning to minimise unnecessary auto-flagging of “go

Please provide a SORT OPTION for My Strava Segments. Having over 500 segments managing them is a nightmare, especially when Garmin limits the number to 100 (Garmin says it is Strava that is the problem here). Rather than indulging in AI gimmickry (that mainly describes the obvious and is therefore of little use), please sort out the (easy) basics first..

How long does it usually take for Strava support to respond?

 I don't understand why Strava continues to have points where it gets bad GPS data and suddenly jumps your location by a mile and then back to the correct position.   If I'm walking clearly this isn't possible. It seems it should be pretty easy to programmatically detect these outliers and remove them.

Hi everyone,I'm trying to improve my times on nearby segments using Strava Live Segments, but I’m struggling to get any real value from it in my region.This might be fine in flat areas or velodromes, but as most of the people, I ride in a 3D world. In my area, it’s impossible to go anywhere without climbing or descending: 150 meters of elevation gain and loss every 10 kilometers is just a normal ride. But the real issue isn't the hills themselves. Live Segments could still be useful on a long, steady climb or descent. The problem is the alternation between flat, climbing, and descending sections, which makes pacing truly important, and the feature almost useless.What I really want is to pace myself realistically against my own past efforts. I don’t care how others perform on the segment; I just want a real, effort-based comparison with my own ride history. Map data is not showing properly. Even I have trouble shooted with so many ways still won’t works out.on the direct route if some cuts are coming, there is small drift in the corner of the road.In other tracking app’s it is working fine. Attached screen shot with so many drifts in the straight route 

I heavily use the Personal heat maps feature, specifically the Red and Blue colors because they were the most legible. However, after the recent Maps update, these colors have changed and now I find it much harder to see. Now it'sore like the other colors, which have always been hard to see. 

I’ve started seeing the ‘Plan your weekend ride’ carousel at the top of my feed. Does anyone know how to switch this off? It’s showing me rides that are miles away from my location. 

The Flyover thing is kinda nice, but as I play through  an activity the frame rate progressively degrades on my iPhone 15. On longer rides, it can drop as low as 1 frame per second. January 16th: UPDATE FROM STRAVAHello and thank you to everyone who posted here.We are aware of this issue and are currently investigating. There seems to be a bug with the weekly log whilst tracking strength exercises, when completing a strength exercise, it doesn't count towards weekly log.Although it shows a dot on the graph which is accurate, "current" still shows as 0, and "to go" still shows 2. Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place, I'm new here lolThanks

My relative efforts shoes the bar charts with all my activities but underneath in the details it only shows 5 instead of 7(if i ride every day) All my rides have a HR information from heart monitor. Any ideas why is this happening? Thanks

I am building a web-based calculator that helps athletes estimate how much time they need to complete a specific lap based on their previous activity data.I would like to ask: Is it allowed to access a user’s lap data from their Strava profile using the API, with their permission and proper authentication? Are there specific scopes or limitations I should be aware of when requesting lap-level data? Can this data be used to provide insights or time predictions back to the authenticated user, as part of my app?

Gostaria de solicitar que no strava tenha um parametro que eu consiga sincronizar as etapas dos meus treinos seja de corrida ou ciclismo .por exemplo em uma corrida no garmin onde monto meu treinovem as etapasaquecimentotirodescansocorrida levee tal….a solicitação seria que ao parametrizar e eu efetuar o treinamento no fim da atividade o strava colocasse as etapas feitas na descrição da minha atividade, com isso eu teria um controle melhor do que eu fiz no treino quando for analizar.vi que recentemente tentou ser feito isso mas teve alguns usuarios que vendem treino e planilha que nao gostaram, por isso sugiro que seja criado um parametro e quem quiser utilizar a ferramente que faça uso
