Strava Features Chat

Hello. Since few weeks ago, My Stats overview in my Strava profile does not work - it shows just zeros everywhere. This is a new problem because just a few weeks ago I could see stats. I do weight training that always counts as Workout and therefore I could compare my stats year to year, for example. Other overviews in My Stats sections, such as cycling and running, work as intended. Thanks, have a nice day.

This is the end of my week. Last week, I rode 244 miles and I had 6 activities at 16 hours. Why doesn't this "snapshot" display accurate information? It's currently useless to me.

See the screenshot below, which is the summary of my trail run.  I don't care about my average power and especially about the calories. These metrics mean nothing to me. At the same time I'd really like to see my average HR and average cadence. Strava have been releasing a lot of unimportant features recently, but giving us more customization of the app would be greatly appreciated by many. There should be a way to customize these data fields or perhaps a way to see all available data fields. I don't really like that Strava makes these choices for me.   

So I put wrong date of birth when i make my account. I am born on 27th June 2000 but i put 2010 by mistake and I can’t change it. I wanna send messages on strava but am not able to because of this. How do i change it. It just shows something went wrong try again! 

My Garmin device shows different elapsed time and moving time for my indoor activities, but Strava shows the same elapsed time and moving time. That's annoying. I'd like to have the actual moving time shown on strava. 

Is there any reason why Strava doesn’t display the actual speed during my bike rides. It shows the average which updates every so often but I want to be able to see the ‘actual’ speed during my journeys.Cheers

While using the website to set-up a new group ride, the dropdown menu for routes is limited to only 50 routes.  I have over 50 routes and therefore I cannot select my older routes.  The menu to set-up a group ride has changed within the past week.  Previously, I could select from all my rides, so this is a new change that has been implemented. Please restore the functionality so that I can access all my routes.Thanks.

About a year ago, if you was to go to the 'you' tab and then 'activities' tab, you could then used the 'search by keyword' function. This used to search BOTH the title and the description of your activities. Now it ONLY search the title which is really really frustrating as for years I've logged activities by useful information in the description section and not the title.  If the search by keyword can be switched back to look at both the title and description is think that would be great. It makes no sense what so ever not to look at the description! 

It seems Strava have been slowly sidelining the segments over the last few updates. The latest update has led to no specific segment link and no indication of Local Legend. Personally, this was the only feature that made Strava better than others. Without it, the app loses value for me. What do others think?

Over the past two+ weeks (during July 2024) I've uploaded many geotagged pics, using the Strava app on a Samsung S23 (Android) device, and when viewing the event maps via browser-on-desktop, the image thumbnails do not show up on the maps. Please note that the images in question were taken hundred of miles from my residence and so were nowhere close to a "hidden portion of the activity".

My time compared to others in flybys seems to be out by hours. I know I have followed or passed people, but in fly bys I complete missed them, bu hours. Also when I start playing a ride, I can see the paths of other users in their colour, but they don't show up until the end of my ride. Its like we are on different timezones, but across multiple computers I am on the right time zone for where I live, unless Strava has its own way to setting a time zone..Any ideas?

Recently I’ve noticed my iPhone Strava app no longer labels peaks on any maps. I try POI layer on vs. off, 2D vs. 3D, Hybrid/Satellite vs. standard, the Maps tab at the bottom vs. activity maps. Anyone else experiencing this too? What happened?

Activity uploaded but my stats are not updating I have tried refresh stats we no luck same problem.

Biting the bullet I’m laboriously uploading all my Garmin activity data from 2012 to 2020.  After around 4 uploads of 20 files each (to keep under the 25 limit) I can't upload any more, as I have reached my limit according to Strava (try again later!).  Is there also a daily limit as well as the 25 limit per upload?Is there some other way to do this?Any ideas, feedback appreciated! 

Hello guysI got a new idea for a new feature on the strava map, i think it would be great to have a map where you can see all the segments you got, and which one you are nr. 2 or 3 or top 10. It would make it more funny and easy to see your own segments on strava. Thank you.-Mattias Rokkjær

Isn’t it ridiculous that a long-established site worth billions of dollars takes of the order of a day to provide a gigabyte or so of user data, requiring several continuations separated by several hours (because of outdated data limits), when this is needed?Time to upgrade the service: allow download of all activities for a user in one go, efficiently, with some reasonable limits on how frequently it is done if that is deemed necessary (to avoid excess use without benefit). The weird thing is, even a limit to one complete download a day would not actually be more restrictive than what already exists in terms of bandwidth - it would just mean that users get done in minutes what currently takes days.

Hi Trleam Strava and fellow users. I recently noticed that when my groups are sharing any links to activities and group ride events, I cann not open them.This is how it happens— tap on link in chat. (https://strava.app.link/POST_ID) — opens strava app for a moment, with black/white screen. Nothing happens. — immediately in next moment I am back on chat or source screen with a Toast error message saying "not a valid strava link". Addding screenshot for reference.Does anyone else has same issue? As a mobile developer expert all I can say is this a case a poor Deeplink handling. And it seems that, all these links are shared from iPhones while Android links are huge and not shortened. Please fix this Strava! LINK Format : https://strava.app.li

Would be really nice to have one time passwords and/or passkeys as an alternative to the email codes.  it's great we have 2FA now and with the support of a number of password managers the flow could be a lot simpler, for me at least. The difference is probably in the order of 5-10 seconds instead of 0. Could run a little experiment to see if it helps user retention better as well :)

My weight training activities are tracking, you can see them on feed and and in progress but they are not being added to my weekly goals, this also happens with bike rides. I restarted my phone, cleared the cache from Strava app and then deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted phone again and restarted Apple watch, none of this has helped. This is a new issue that has just started this week. Any ideas from the community?

I ran a short, steep (200 meters, 15%) staircase segment up and down 4 times in a single activity. Strava has counted it 7 times. At first I thought that it had counted a whole up-down-up as one attempt (in addition to counting each of the ups individually) but the total time doesn't check out (it's about 2m up and 2m down, but the false efforts are around 4m, not 6m). See the four attached images - the real effort analysis, a false effort, the list of efforts including real and false, and the elevation profile showing clearly the 4 efforts.
