Strava Features Chat

I would like to be able to quickly view commute miles by the month or by the year. I have a gols to offset enough CO2 per year fro a round trip flight from San Francisco to London.

On the Home tab the search icon (magnifying glass) is pointing right. This seems odd. Especially cause when you tap it, on the page, the icon in the search input is pointing left.

I've reached out to support a few times with no response, so I'm trying here too.I was a long time Nike Run Club user, and I recently got a Coros watch. In trying to get my historical data from NRC to upload to Coros, I was unable to obtain .fit files from NRC. The data must be in .fit for Coros to accept it and populate prior activities. I've only been able to obtain the data in .tcx, a format per Coros that wont work, even though their upload page says it will.That brings me to Strava - I signed up and entered all my NRC data into Strava, hoping it would sync with Coros. Unfortunately, it seems Coros doesn't "back-populate" the old activites, only new ones in Strava. I see that on new activities, I can export one-by-one as .fit files, but those are already synced from Coros to Strava. I'm really hoping I can get Strava to export the prior acivites I manually entered as .fit files or find help in converting my NRC and Strava .tcx exports to .fit, so I can

As of yesterday 2025/6/10 about 6pm, Bulk Export fails to export uncompressed .fit files.In the activities.csv file, the filename is “#error#” and the file is missing from the export.These files were correctly exported with my previous bulk export 2025/4/24.All other file types (.fit.gz, .gpx, .tcv etc. all work fine).My export of about 3500 activities contains about 20 .fit files uncompressed.These are from old Garmin devices (Edge 705) from 2019-2022,and also from activities shared from another user which are quite short.The activities in question are still valid and editable within the web application.

Hi! Recently I've set my profile so that I can participate in Strava segments and I've found that an activity I did, the QOM and CR didn't register? These were activities were women haven't participated before but when I recorded they show up on the All-Tine leaderboard but not as the women CR which still shows as N/A??? I've tried refreshing and everything but was wondering if there was anything to do to fix this?

When “Workout” is selected, the calories burned are not shown and do not contribute towards exercise and move goals in Apple Fitness.Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks in advance. 

Using iOS 18.4.1when I bring up the Progress screen and scroll down, the screen is locking when the Monthly Activities graph appears. (The graph is not updated). This seems to have happened since 411.0.0 release. The only way to unfreeze is to close the app. Have tried phone power cycle and delete and reload app, but no change.Anyone else seeing this?

Dear Community,I recently did a run this week with a large group of runners.Strava had auto-grouped me with the other runners when I uploaded my activity into Strava.  However, I accidentally pressed the "Leave Group" for the run activity.Is there a way for me to manually add myself back to this Group Activity without deleting and re-uploading from my Apple Fitness?I did lodge a Strava support request (#3362083) but have yet to receive any constructive feedback. Strava simply advised me to refer to their FAQ page which doesn’t address this issue and this Community Hub page.Many thanks, team! Regards,Ivan   

Hi! My Strava statistics on my profile only show the distance I’ve covered this year from running, not other sports (hiking, walking, riding etc). Is there a way to fix this? Thank you! 

I’ve recorded my first golf activity on my Garmin Forerunner tonight & I can see the activity in Garmin Connect, however it hasn’t uploaded to Strava. Any help or advice much appreciated

The new route is broken for over a week since the launch of the new heatmap. Plotting any point gives an error Tried on Chrome, Edge and on multiple PCs. Tried several different settings including manual mode on/off, heatmaps on/off. 

Is anybody struggling to build a route today? I have tried across multiple devices and in manual and non-manual mode and the result is the same. I keep getting the error message telling me to make the way points closer even though I am doing this. This is very frustrating as I really need to get this route built ASAP. I have turned off devices, restarted them,  re-logged in et cetera, all the normal things but nothing seems to be making any difference! Any ideas please?

The past couple of days I have been unable to create routes in Strava. It’s very strange because I have had no issues in the past. The process of creating a route starts okay, but then as points around 50km, I get the following error message...“Error: Sorry, we couldn’t complete that action. Please try plotting the point again. This can occur when routing across large distances, so try plotting more frequent waypoints that are closer together.”I follow the direction in the error message and it doesn’t help. If I cancel out of the route in progress, and start over again, I get the same error message almost at the beginning of mapping out a route.This is very frustrating! Has anyone else had this issue lately? Have you been able to resolve it? If so, how?

Once again, a basic capability of Strava that was working fine has decided suddenly to not work at all.Trying to create a route. Select my start point, fine. But when I select another point, no matter how close or far, I get the dreaded "Error: Sorry, we couldn’t complete that action. Even tried importing an existing route and editing it ... same story, the big red banner.Any help/comment/feedback/suggestions appreciated. Just doing my head in.

I want to create a route visiting 270 postcodes I have. Is there a way of not plotting this one-by-one, either in Strava, or a third party option?(No problem splitting route in half if file too large)with thanks

I have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and use the Strava app however everyday it frustrates me no end because it requires the screen to be used for most running functions - including a simple start and stop.  Typically I’m sweaty and therefore swiping the screen or pressing the screen buttons will not work.  Can the settings be changed to use the actual buttons of the watch instead?Next, if you are trying to appeal to runners, I’d suggest trying to incorporate more running features… even the ability to use for interval training.And finally, the app is often slow.

Dear Community,All emoji`s from my Strava web version are gone or being replaced for abbreviations after one of last Strava`s updates.It this gonna be fixed?

I have a question - why there is no option to load all photos and videos beforehand when I save a workout from my Garmin? For me, the workout first appears, then I add videos and photos. And in the meantime, up to 50 people give kudos, for an empty workout without photos!It should rather be that I have to load all media first, and save the workout and publish it on the feed at the end, when everything is ready.Please do this, because otherwise people watch empty workout records sometimes for 10 minutes because I have a lot of videos from the camera, and I care about a good presentation of the activity. 🚴🌟

Since a couple of weeks ago I get an annoying "vignetting" effect that blurs out the surroundings whenever I zoom out of an activity map in the mobile app. That makes it difficult to quickly assess the location of the route relative to the surrounding geography. It's also just plain annoying because it looks like a gratuitous feature that no one asked for.Can that be rolled back or made optional?

Is the Strava weather feature only available for the paid version? The toggle switch within the settings> weather menu is greyed out for me 

when trying to share activity on Facebook, it started yesterday, I get a random thumbnail of a woman (and it's not a prior photo I've used) when sharing the link, rather than the preferred image I use or even the map anymore.Anyone else has this issue? Is it something I’m doing wrong? or just strava?

Hello,Today in a paid subscription you see only top 7/8 and afterwards your time when outside top 10 which persons around you but I would like to see all my followers their times in table. Would that be possible?BrKris

First off, I am happy to see the big improvement in the automatic detection of impossible efforts across more activities.  Specifically, I am seeing it a lot more for running where people who are posting activities with sub 4 min/mile paces are frequently being marked as having a problem.  This is good and a great step forward from where things were. However, there is still an issue.  These activities that have been marked as auto-detected are still being listed in the challenge leaderboards.  The top 20 of the 5k running challenge for example is almost all activities that have been marked with “We detected an issue with this activity”.  Some of them are a week old and still showing on the leaderboard.  Why aren’t those activities removed from the leaderboard immediately when they are detected?  If the person ends up clearing up the issue, then the activity can be re-indexed onto the leaderboard, but in the meantime, they should be removed as soon as the system sees ther
