I am a runner who likes to rotate between multiple shoes throughout my week. Before every run, I currently open strava to change my default shoe. I like to do this so that I don't have to change gear on multiple activities if I decide to say record warmup, workout and cooldown separately. Before the feature of "Default Sports" was added to shoes, changing the default shoe was simple, open the app -> Profile tab -> Gear -> Tap on the shoe and tap make default. After the "Default Sports" feature was added, we now have to tap on the shoe -> Tap Edit Gear -> Tap Default Sports input field -> Tap on Run -> Tap on Save. You can clearly see how it has added several extra taps to the process. On top of all this, the recent app update made it even worse now that the Profile page is tucked away at the top of the "You" page. So the new flow is like this, let me number the steps this time: Open the app Goto "You" tab Tap on your profile icon at the top right part of the app Scroll down Tap on Gear Tap on the shoe Tap "Edit Shoes" Tap on the input for "Default Sports" Tap the checkbox in front of "Run" Tap outside the bottom sheet to dismiss it Tap "Save" Are you seeing how ridiculous this is? I would love for the strava app to supply an Android/iOS widget that you can add to home screen of your phone to change your default gear quickly. If not, There should be a simple way to change your default shoe once you open the app. For example: 1. Open the app 2. Tap Gear 3. Tap on an icon next to the shoe that will let you make it the default shoe.
