I've ridden outdoors every single day for over 7 years, and I've averaged nearly 10,000 miles per year during this time. I'm proud of this accomplishment, and it's pretty disheartening to look at any of the cycling challenge leaderboards when they are dominated by people who only ride indoors. Prior to the Covid pandemic in 2020, virtual rides did not count toward the cycling distance or elevation challenges. Since there are no longer any restrictions on outdoor gatherings or group rides, it's time to go back to the old rules. Riding a real bike outdoors is not the same thing as riding a trainer in the comfort of your home. No one has ever been hit by a car or chased by a dog on Zwift. No one has ever suffered from hypothermia riding in the freezing rain on Zwift. No one has ever crashed on loose gravel or black ice, or been blown into a ditch by gusting winds on Zwift. I have no doubt that Zwift is a great training tool, but riding a stationary bike in air conditioned comfort is not the same thing as riding a real bike on real roads in real weather conditions. Currently there is no notification when a ride/run/activity is flagged – I just happened to be checking on a ride I did earlier in the week and noticed that it had been flagged by a user incorrectly (it wasn't an auto-flag as it only was flagged at some point after the day of upload). I know that in the past I have flagged other's rides weeks or months or even years after they were completed, and if I were that person I'd want to know when that happened so I could address it (cropping, making private, etc). There is also no way to view which of your activities are flagged; the Strava blog does mention that a flagged ride would appear as red in the "My Activities" section, but that function is buggy or broken because this ride was not identified in the list view (only when clicking into the activity could I see the flag).  One of those two features is a must have; either a notification when your activity is flagged by a user or giving users a way to filter for their flagged rides in the "My Activities" section – as a long time user, I have close to 3000 activities and now I'm paranoid that I have some hidden flagged rides that I need to take care of buried somewhere in my long list of activities. But without one of these it's infeasible for me to stay on top of any flags in my activity history (or any new flags that come up). I'm sure the filter in the "My Activities" section would be easier to implement, so I'd recommend that to start.  ... View more

If I want to create Challenge where you need to run some distance not together but separate you can't do that. So I suggest to add new type of Challenge where I choose distance and time and add runners. After that each of us should run that distance. And we could see progress of each of us. Whether on purpose or by accident, many times there are activities on the big leader boards that are physically impossible.  An example would be running faster than 3 minutes per mile. Or recording a bicycle ride while riding in a car.  Sometimes this is accidental, because a person forgot to turn off the recording and then drove in their car. Other times, it's on purpose when a cheater tries to game the system.  This needs to be done for segments, as well as for overall activities. There might be an activity with a normal overall speed, but one or more segments were recorded at an impossible speed. Or there might be an activity with no segments, but it shows up on the leader boards as an impossibly fast activity.  There are users who periodically report these super-fast activities, but this takes up a lot of time for users. And also for the support staff who review the reported activities.  This could be automated. If a user uploads an activity that is physically impossible, such as being a lot faster than world record speed for that sport, the app would say something like: "Something is wrong with this activity. It will not be counted for segments or other leader boards." This would really improve the user experience when looking at leader boards and segments, and reduce user frustration when cheaters attempt to win all the leader boards.  ... View more

Sería interesante disponer de una opción donde poder programar una actividad, con datos sobre la misma: tipo de actividad, distancia, altitud, tiempo estimado de ejecución, seguimiento, etc. (pudiera ser con una antelación mínima, número máximo de participantes, opción de anulación (por clima adverso, indisponibilidad p.ej.), etc.) y publicarla previamente para que quien quiera se pueda unir a ella, y realizarla en la fecha programada. Se podría elegir la privacidad de los seguidores: seguidores o público. También se podría ofrecer la actividad incluso a quien no sea usuario de Strava y así poder hacer promoción. I personally record my activities on my phone and also on my cheap GPS device as a backup, which I manually upload through the website in case the Strava app crashes. Many people I know also record on their phone and another device, such as a Garmin or Apple Watch. Problem is, most of these devices automatically upload the activity to Strava once it's finished, and when the person also finishes the activity in the Strava app, it creates a Group activity which double counts the activity. It would be great to be able to see heatmaps for open water swims. Currently you can only do this for running and cycling. Seeing where other people have swam, especially in lakes and in the sea allows you to know where is safe and where isn't.  ... View more

It would be a good idea to be able to make free water stations and paid water stations on your route, so that others can plan their route to hit these water stations (to fill their water bottles) an additional function is to be visible with a distance countdown (500m) on the bike computer to the water station. Or on you'r bikecomputer (Garmin or wahoo), a pop up 500 meters to the water point, "shall I show you the way". ... View more

When my battery dies or I just forget to stop Strava before commuting home, when I finally remember, I am left with a line across town to my house from the trail (mtb). I would like to see a “hide last segment” option or something so I don’t look like an idiot when I post those workouts. I tried to hold down on that segment to delete or edit (didn’t work.) But I think for a paid app, Strava should also be smart enough to detect that I have left the workout and at least have a notification asking if I’d like to delete the last segment or mark it is a commute.
