Separate out virtual and real statistics in the profile All-Time statistics summary. The All-Time statistics at present are inconsistent. For instance, my "Longest Ride" happens to be a Zwift ride. However, my "Biggest Climb" is from a real life ride, which is less than what I have done virtually (I live in an area of rolling hills not alpine climbs). The goal feature may get more use if you can set goals privately and not just publicly. I just set up my first goal however I deleted it immediately upon finding it public in the feed. I like the idea of setting goals on Strava but I am reluctant to set up goals if others can view them. My preference would be to only allow myself to view the goal. Similar to having personal goals outside of Strava, you have the option to share your personal goals with others if you wish to. Personally, I feel new and incomplete goals have no place in the activity feed. Instead, in addition to publishing a new/incomplete goal directly to the activity feed (which is currently the default), perhaps an additional option to automatically publish to the activity feed upon the completion of the goal? I personally record my activities on my phone and also on my cheap GPS device as a backup, which I manually upload through the website in case the Strava app crashes. Many people I know also record on their phone and another device, such as a Garmin or Apple Watch. Problem is, most of these devices automatically upload the activity to Strava once it's finished, and when the person also finishes the activity in the Strava app, it creates a Group activity which double counts the activity. We all seem to have some favourite "web only" features that exists on the website but not in the apps, and there's a very long tail of small feature inconsistencies, each of them missed by someone. A low hanging fruit improvement would be offering a jump to the web version on screens like activity and profile, from within the app, either in a webview or to the system browser (this might need some tweaks to carry over authentification and prevent the "open in app" matchers registers with the OS to fire). The result would be an easier user interaction path to the browser as a fall-back UI. This would greatly reduce the "inconsistency cost" of allowing web and app teams to innovate without excessive coordination.  The list of feature inconsistencies is long and it will likely never be completely worked through to the end, so the "mitigation link" would alsways have seome value. And perhaps working off that list of missing features shouldn't even be attempted, because browsers and apps have very different thresholds for "too much clutter".  ... View more

It would be great to be able to see heatmaps for open water swims. Currently you can only do this for running and cycling. Seeing where other people have swam, especially in lakes and in the sea allows you to know where is safe and where isn't.  ... View more

When I click on the map of an activity in the app, it gives me the map and the list of segments from the activity. I can select segments to see where they are along the activity. I usually like to go through the segments to see for which ones I want to check the details. Currently I always have to scroll the next segments into view to select them. It would be very convenient if for example a segment would be scrolled into the center upon selection. That way I could then easily select the next (or previous) segment without having to scroll.   Example: In the attached screenshot it would be nice if the segment list would scroll up by one segment when I selected the "Welcome to Mojstrana" segment", so that I can easily select the next segment below. ... It would be a good idea to be able to make free water stations and paid water stations on your route, so that others can plan their route to hit these water stations (to fill their water bottles) an additional function is to be visible with a distance countdown (500m) on the bike computer to the water station. I have a suggest to add a feature. When you follow a gpx, screen is fading after several seconds. You have to tuch the screen to have more light for a while, and fading several seconds later.  Could it be possible to auto light the screen several meters before a way changing and auto fade after seconds. I have a small bugbear with the syncing of activities from Garmin Connect to Strava and I’m sure I can’t be the only one.  It is simply the workout title. In Garmin the type of workout recorded on your device is the default title (e.g HITT) but this is not carried over to Strava,  it is just called workout.  it would be nice if the workout title would also sync. It can still be combined with the Strava default time of day format, e.g ‘Afternoon HIIT’ just as it already does for run, cycle, swim,  and maybe other exercises I’ve yet to do. ... View more

Some athletes don't know the difference between segments and routes, so they end up creating a route as a huge segment. It would be great if those segments can be converted to routes with a paid subscription plan membership, so we can enjoy those routes as well without having to copy them manually.   Thank you. ... When my battery dies or I just forget to stop Strava before commuting home, when I finally remember, I am left with a line across town to my house from the trail (mtb). I would like to see a “hide last segment” option or something so I don’t look like an idiot when I post those workouts. I tried to hold down on that segment to delete or edit (didn’t work.) But I think for a paid app, Strava should also be smart enough to detect that I have left the workout and at least have a notification asking if I’d like to delete the last segment or mark it is a commute.
