As lots of people race on platforms like Zwift, it would be great to have the option to choose "race" as a tag, like there is for outdoor rides and runs. Funny enough there already is the option to choose "commute" for a virtual ride 🙂
Strangely enough, for some time, I was already able to tag my Zwift races as "Race" on Strava. Only since a couple of days has the functionality disappeared (which now makes for a messy dataset & graphs).
Same here, I've always been able to tag my Zwift races as a race on Strava, as far back as 2020 when I joined Zwift. This year I did races on 7th & 14th February both highlighted as races on Strava, however, this week it wouldn't allow me to change my Zwift virtual race to a "Race"
What have Strava changed (without telling us) & why?
When completing a virtual ride (eg Zwift) it is tagged as a virtual ride but when you then look to further classify it under "Type of ride" the only option is "commute".
Leaving aside the fact that a virtual ride can't be a commute could we have some more logical choices? For example - "workout", "race", "free-ride", etc.
I currently do a lot of racing on Zwift and the only way I can tag these as a race is to change the activity to "Ride" and then type of ride = "race" is an option available to me. Can't we have the same under "virtual ride"?
I am just back on zwift after having the summer off and have now noticed this. Any zwift activity is auto set to virtual ride. no ability to change it to workout or race. SUPER ANNOYING that this feature has gone. PLEASE ADD IT BACK
Not sure why this feature was ever removed and feels like a regressive step in the overall user experience. As other virtual riders will I am sure agree, a Zwift race is very different to a free ride. Losing the ability to tag my virtual rides with these different descriptions means I am less able to easily monitor my training. Please reinstate, thank you!
