Good morning,
For the past week my iPhone Strava widget has not been updating with correct mileage. I assume this is a known issue based on what I’ve read on Reddit, but didn’t see a topic from 2024 on this topic. I’ve tried removing and re-adding the widget to no avail.

Hey all!
Thanks for posting and sorry for the trouble. Can you try our initial troubleshooting step of deleting and reinstalling the Strava app? Our recommended instructions are below:
1. Delete the Strava application from your phone
2. Power your device off for 10 seconds
3. Turn your phone back on
4. Reinstall the Strava application
Note: You will not lose any data if you do this since all data is stored on the Strava servers.

Hey everyone, first week back using Strava and this entire widget thing drives me nuts. So I just did a little checking and the issue is not with the widget. It’s working perfectly from what I can see. The issue appears to be where the data is coming from within the app/website. So this is what I see in my widget today…
Now you’ll note that it shows data only on Monday and Tuesday. Nothing for the rest of the week up to today. Compare that to my Training Log (which I assume most of you do) and you see the additional data is there for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
So what gives? We’re all supper frustrated right? And this should be such a simple issue for Strava to resolve in a quick update.
So what’s causing this issue?
Well I suspect it’s that the widget doesn’t pull its data from the Training Log, but rather from the Goals tab, which as you can see matches what the widget displays perfectly.
So this is a pretty simple software issue to address. How do we get Strava to update it? have the widget pull from Training Log, and we should all be able to put this behind us.
I’m going to reach out directly to Strava on this and see if we can’t get a widget we will all use/love.
p.s. deleting the app, or the widget, or anything does NOT work for my account, and only worked for 2 out of 5 people we tested with today. So they need to address this.

IT’s a fairly simple issue to address. I’m happy to help whoever is building the app/widget because I also hate looking over at my widget and only seeing two days of data instead of 4 lol

When we said we wanted an actual fix, we didn't mean removing total kms / miles statistic entirely. Yes, there's still green bars for each day where an activity was completed, but the point of this widget is to track distance, at a glance, without opening the app. This latest change is just bonkers

Everyone knows if you clear your data the widget works normally for a few days. What we want is an actual fix that doesn't involve needing to clear our data or reinstall the app twice a week. Even worse is if the widget has an update error it gives you a button to refresh manually. That's right, the code that would fix everything (a manual refresh button) already exists and is being forcibly withheld from us even though the issue has been prevalent since the first app version that shipped with this widget.
Your comment couldn't be less helpful.

Got the same issue. I’m going to eat my shoe if they don’t fix this. And be warned, my shoe smells REAALLLLY bad. Next I’ll go on hunger strike, which is pretty easy because I’m fasting ramadan anyways. And after that, I’ll call the cops. And finally if that doesn’t work, I’ll sit in a corner and soak in a puddle of my own tears while I contemplate the consequences of actions that are not my own.
Peace out and don’t pay your taxes.
