Why does Strava change routes automatically?

Good morning everybody,I create a lot of tracks for my weekend runs, and since I started using Strava for that I started to notice that it was becoming increasingly difficult, to the point where I stopped using it. At the moment I use it to save tracks from friends of mine on Strava, which I save to run there later. I started to notice that when running on these tracks saved on Strava, there were routes that didn't make sense.In the example below we have:Red is the original route where I downloaded the gpx direction to my computer.Blue is the route I saved on Strava, in My Routes and later downloaded to my computer.It doesn't make sense for these changes to exist, as I didn't even edit the route, I just saved it.Is there a solution for this?Thanks

Timer not working for workouts and yoga

When I record an activity such as a workout or a yoga session, the Strava timer doesn’t seem to work properly — a 55 minute aerobics session was logged as being 7 mins long. A 45 min yoga session was logged as being 26 mins long. My device is an iPhone 14 and I’m using the latest version of the Strava app — 351.0.0 — which was rolled out two days back.I’ve been facing this issue for a week now. Can someone please explain why there’s a glitch?

How to Retrieve Challenge Data within Clubs Using Strava API?

Hello Strava Developer Community,I hope this message finds you well.My name is Gustavo, and I am working on creating a dashboard for my company to track the activities of our team members. We believe that integrating challenge data from our club would significantly enhance our project by providing more comprehensive insights into our collective activities.However, I have encountered difficulties in retrieving challenge data within clubs using the current Strava API. Missing time/elevation/heart rate for cycling activities

Mini fit app syncing with Strava

Hi any help as to why my mii band 7 is missing distance when syncing with Strava from the mii fit app.  The full GPS route is there but the distance is being shortened when sending from miifit in km and showing in Strava in miles.

Missing "overall" selection in activity feed

I'm using the free version of Strava now. In a browser, when I click on a segment in an activity, I only get to view All-Time, Men, Women. See screenshot. My husband, who also is in the free version of Strava and in a browser, sees "overall." How do I fix mine to see "overall" also?

Strava routes

I like to cycle alone quite a bit and try to utilise the routes section.is there anyway to amend the distance? I hate it jumps from 30 to 50 to 80 and no in between.Also it only shows 3 routes, is there anyway to get more recommendations on the app as most being recommended I have completed.first post so be gentle haha

My activity won’t sync

My activities from this morning will not sync to my Strava app on my iPhone. I have restarted my phone and my watch, but nothing has worked. I’ve also added an extra activity to see if that would push through the previous two activities that would not sync. Again that did not work. Can you please help?

Feedback: Heatmap changes

What have you done to Heatmaps?  I do not care about businesses, or where other people have run, walked, or biked, and the new color selection interface does not allow basemap changes from the same interface (as it should).  Also, as I zoom out, the once-useful aggregation of workouts (showing a circle and number at scales where the actual paths get tiny and useless) is now gone.  Writing this as a cartographer, recent changes are not an improvement.  Is there a way to recover the old display mode?

Actual Location in Strava Heatmap

Hello, one of my favourite functions in strava is to navigate with the perfect maps in combination with heatmaps. So I have an idea if a trail is practicable or not. When I can also see my personal heatmap I can see if the trail brings me to my familar tracks. For this procedure there is not a practical funktion in strava but to go to the "maps" funcion and go to segments or routes. Unfortunatly the map then is confusing due to the suggested routes or segments, which I do not need in my mentioned case. And the display is not shown fully in this feature. Is there a solution or funcion I do not know?

Download original workout file or tcx on behalf of user

My application is parsing workout datapoints and I want to make it easier for the users by fetching the input files automatically from strava workouts.The export_original and export_tcx paths don't exist on api/v3/activities. Should I be able to access the web endpoints with the access token I get from authenticating the user in my app? Can’t connect to FATMAP

ok, I’ll try this again. In my previous post I erroneously used the term BaseMap instead of FATMAP. SO…I downloaded FATMAP, but never got confirmation that it was linked to my Strava Premium. A couple of days later I deleted FATMAP and reinstalled. Now when I try to link the accounts, I get an error message stating that there is already a FATMAP account linked to my Strava. I can’t get past this point and therefore I have no way to download BaseMap routes to my account.My ultimate goal is to have the routes on my Garmin Edge 840, so if there is a workaround, I would welcome that as well. I did reach out to the Strava help desk. They replied asking me what my email was and then went radio silent to my further replies. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Keeping Leaderbords Clean

Strava seem to encourage users to self police segment leaderboards, however this is severely hampered by limits on the number of flags that can be raised on activities.I've tried to raise this issue via the ticket system, but each time my request is ignored and no feedback is provided.How do Strava expect users to perform this service if we can only flag a small number of invalid activities?If users don't have the tools to keep leaderboards clean and Strava won't perform this checking themselves how do they expect this task to be achieved?

Incorrect leaderboard information.

I gave recently ridden a route in Dalby Forest, England.The segment is called get loose for Lewis. I rode the tarmac road near to it. Strava has twice recorded my ride on the road as a ride on the segment. I'm now K.O.M on a segment I didn't ride. I personally don't care about segments, but those who do will be quite pi..ed off at my false achievement knocking them further down the leaderboard. It's time the false recording of segments is tightened up for those who use it, and those that cheat deliberately, banned from using Strava.ADMIN, PLEASE ADDRESS THIS.

Hola! Alguien sabe si hay manera de subir contenido multideporte como unica actividad y no todo por separado? Por ejemplo, un triatlon se sube como 5 actividades, nadar, transicion, bici, transicion y correr. Estaria bien subirlo como una sola, al menos en garmin si aparece como 1 actividad. TRANSLATION: Hello! Does anyone know if there is a way to upload multisport content as a single activity and not everything separately? For example, a triathlon involves 5 activities, swimming, transition, bike, transition and running. It would be good to upload it as one, at least on Garmin if it appears as 1 activity.

Activity tab having "Processing Activity" stuck

I have saved an activity from my Galaxy Watch 6, while on the watch it shows that the activity has been synced, on the phone app, there's a permanent display of "Processing Activity" showing up in my activity tab. I tried restarting my phone, login and out of the app, clearing cache on the phone, and tried resyncing on the phone, refreshing the activities by pulling down and it just won't disappear. While I already accepted the fact that activity has been loss, I wished the "Processing Activity" can at least be removed.

today I ran a PR in my 10k and it didn’t show up. I’m not usually worried but there was a lot of hills and I could have quit but I didn’t lol any fix?

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m new to Strava and was wondering how can I see other people’s activities in my area? I feel like I can’t see anyone’s activities and nobody can see mine, my privacy and settings are all set to everyone

[Known Issue] Strava map displays incorrect ride end point

On my last 3 rides, my Strava route shows that I ended my ride sooner than I actually did. I sync my Sigma ROX 11.0 bike computer to Strava and upload my data after each ride. My Sigma app shows that I did the full route, however, Strava seems to come up with a random endpoint. This is not a privacy setting since that appears grey when looking at my routes, this is actually a little checkered flag showing I ended my ride in a location that I did not. Can't find segments

Whitelist IP address webhook

Is there somewhere that lists all the IPs used by Strava in webhook requests? I tried to create a list based on the requests but suddenly new ips appeared in my logs and I can't find any place in the Strava documentation about the ips considered safe

Rate Limit

we are developing a web application to monitor daily physical activities of out employees to enhance the quality of their lifestyle. We have over 20,000 employees and they will download Strava application and use when they engage with run or walking for exercise. Problem from developers side is the rate limit. Since we have a large number of employees  the default rate limit is not enough. How we can increase this? Please advise considering this as an top urgent requirement. Best Regards
