Hi all. Strava used to have a very useful feature whereby a user could highlight a section of an activity and see what the distance and elevation gain was within it. I now cannot use that feature - when I highlight a section by dragging it it no longer gives the stats for that section. It used to be available on the main 'Analysis' button, but now that is no longer a button. Does anyone know how to still access this drag feature to get the stats within a section? ThanksDavid

Hello, we are using STRAVA's api and in need to get the data of the user (even the data he had before authorizing our app). Is it possible or do you only allow us to get the data of the user that has been synced or uploaded to Strava after him/her authorizing our app?Thanks.

Hello I have big ask to Strava Management. Mayby you can send to them my message.I use strava from 3 years. I'm happy with strava but i have one dream. After the end of Endomodo, i saved all activities in my pc. But i can not export them to strava 😞 All files are optional in tcx and in json format (attached foto)Mayby you will find good solution and i can export them to strava? If it will be possible, i promise, i will subscribe strava till the end of my sport activity. And i'm sure, tausend of old endomondo user will make the same...Sorry for my english... Is it possible to check GPS distance from List Athlete Activities (getLoggedInAthleteActivities) API?

I miss the option to edit multiple activities at once, like visibility and delete options and the bike that was used. For example, I have many invisible activities that I want change to visible. Now I can only do one at the time.

For people that I follow, can I tell whether their activities have had their visibility level set to Followers or Everyone?

I think API write access for Activity privacy settings would be a useful addition to Strava because this would allow users to configure third-party apps to manage their Activity privacy settings with greater granularity than Strava offers through its current UI. I would like to be able to set both Activity visibility as well as Activity map visibility via API. Ideally, Strava would also provide the ability to configure these defaults in-app. However, in lieu of more granular control over privacy defaults within the app itself, this would be a significant improvement to Strava's privacy features and one that would have a significant positive impact on user Trust & Safety. For example, it would allow a user to programmatically hide the entire map for their commutes, walks, or runs—which may tend to occur in more predictable zones and within a tighter radius of their residences and places of work—while configuring different default map visibility settings for bike rides or ski activit

Is it in any way possible to get more API requests for an application?My application only has 1000 requests pr day with a limit of 100 pr 15 minutes.

Does anyone else have difficulty searching for specific segments? I am working on doing a segment challenge for my local running club and I am finding it very difficult to filter and search for specific segments. Right now there are 334 pages of segments that I have to sort through…it is extremely frustrating. The only search criteria that is included does not allow me to hone in on a specific type of route or specific location. Everything is very general and requires a lot of scrolling.If this doesn’t already exist, has Strava considered adding filters to the search criteria? I am a paid customer and would like to search by distance and specified location (think boundary similar to what Zillow has in its search feature). Currently I can only search based on location- which only includes segment name or a specified city/ there needs to be an option to refine this to a smaller area. I’d also like to sort based on distance of the run, type of run (one way, out and back, loop). 

I noticed the biggest climb is missing from my stats. I remember it used to be there but now there is no value, just a blank field. Any ideas?

I just recently got an Apple watch, connected Strava to Apple Health and allowed sharing between the apps. Syncing from Apple Health to Strava works great and activities I record on apple workout app automatically get uploaded to Strava. My issue is with syncing from Strave to Apple Health as only my Strava activities till 17th of Nov got synced, but nothing prior to that. It looks like a 30-day limitation, however, per Strava help article https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917527-Health-App-and-Strava this 30-day limitation applies when syncing from Apple Health to Strava only and not the other way around. As you can see from the below screenshot although only activities till 17th of Nov got synced, for some reason I can see activities from 13.01.2020 again, but nothing in between (and I have many activities logged in Strava in between).If someone has any solution to that it will be very helpful. A hidden area should be hidden always. 🙂I go trough hidden areas at a ride sometimes. But hidden areas will be hidden at the end or start of a ride. It should be hidden at always for privacy. 

I found this conversation here where a man named John said that he was able to bypass the limitations of the getClubActivitiesById endpoint by having people authenticate his app, allowing him full access to their activity details at the level they authorize. Is there any validity to this, or do you guys have any ideas as to what this would look like? I don't think that them authenticating your app would give you more access to their activities through the getClubActivitiesById endpoint, given there's a response data limitation there to such few fields. Theoretically, how would I get the extra details? Would I have to use the "List Athlete Activities" endpoint, but that endpoint doesn't have any extra parameters for the request URL? I purchased Strava subscription for the first time. On web site there is end-of-year discount for yearly subscription, on mobile app there is not, so I subscribed using website. Frist what I did was to join training plan using web site. Very soon I discovered that the same plan is not visible on my mobile app. Than I created group challenge on mobile app. Of course, I discovered that this time group challenges are not visible on website. It looks like significant lack of basic communication between teams developing mobile app and website. Very strange and unprofessional.  

I couldn't figure out how to authenticate my account to change the scope of my api project does anyone know what im doing wrong. I started from using this https://developers.strava.com/docs/getting-started/ and then went to this url http://www.strava.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=[REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_CLIENT_ID]&response_type=code&redirect_uri=http://localhost/exchange_token&approval_prompt=force&scope=readbut obviously with my client id and it sent me here which is not what's supposed to work.I was just wondering if anyone knows what i did wrong or how to change my scope of my api application?

After deleting an activity by mistake , I have found that it is impossible to manually import the csv file from Garmin connect to strava , to reinstate the deleted activity. Is there a solution for this?Many thanks Andy

We are delighted to be integrated with Strava, as it greatly enhances our user experience.We are managing well with the rate limits, but the one that concerns us the most is the Athletes Capacity. Currently, we already overcome 50% of our maximum capacity, and we are still in the Beta phase. This makes us a bit anxious because we don't want to provide a poor user experience for our athletes when we reach that limit.I apologize if this isn't the appropriate channel for addressing this "issue", please tell if we should follow any other path.Best regards,

Hi, when I create a route in Strava, Starred, I find  the route on my Garmin gps under Strava routes but I cannot start it. I get the message “trouble connecting to the server error code 2050. Anyone any idea ? Ilse 

Does anyone have insight into why my request might be failing? My access_token is indeed expired

I would like to see if its possible to delay the start of timer when starting a ride. With cold weather starting in the northeast i find using gloves j need to wait to put one on until i hit the start button. it would be nice not to have the timer running before i actually start pedaling.
