I am unsure how to use these features...In September I ran my first ever marathon, and my fitness showed 100+ points (I don't know what these are) but I had the darndest time executing my plan on a mostly flat course.Fast forward 6 months and My fitness was about 50 however finishing the LA Marathon I was able to execute well, and my legs felt great going into mile 18 (no wall) I PR'ed by 10 minutes, yes I'm still slow but I beat my previous time by 10 minutes and I didn't hit a wall despite all the hills.  So I don't know how to use these numbers on the graph by Strava because it would be my assumption that the higher the fitness I should be able to run farther / faster than when fitness is lower?

I am interested in developing a fitness mobile application similar to Strava. I'm looking for guidance on the essential steps and technologies required to create such an app. Specifically, I would like to know about the key features, backend infrastructure, user interface design considerations, and any other important aspects to consider when developing a fitness tracking app. Additionally, insights into integrating GPS tracking, social networking features, and performance analytics would be appreciated.Thank you.

I've had a web based app working reliably against Strava APIs for many years - the app is using the Events API to get notifications about data changes which works really well.I've been considering doing a mobile app version but am interested to know what model people have used. Do you have each instance of the app polling for new data when the user accesses the app? I can imagine hitting rate limits is an issue with a decent number of users.Is it better to have my own hosted web app dealing with the Strava data sync side of things and my mobile app then just queries my own API to get the user's latest data?Is there another model I've not considered?Thanks!

read all the previous posts.what works?- only after opening an activity on my mobile and editing it will it sync to google fitwhat does NOT work?- recording a new activity on strava using my mobile does NOT sync to google fit- manually adding an activity to strava using my mobile does NOT sync to google fit- updating an activity on strava web does NOT sync to google fitas a software engineer i can conclude:- strava / google fit integration happens purely on mobile devices- the 'trigger' to sync activities to google fit only happens on 'change activity'- the 'trigger' to sync activities to google fit does NOT happen on 'new activity'really shoddy integrationi think you can do better 

Similar to the local legends function, it would be great to be able to choose to completely toggle off the new cycling Best Efforts.

Hello,I had a marathon today and finished the activity on Apple Watch. As it couldn’t be synced immediately I later choose the unsynched one and clicked there to sync. So watch is saying 0 synched ones. But it doesn’t come up on Strava. Checked all settings and usually it goes automatically and what I don’t track with Strava is imported automatically.Health is showing calories and time correct.any idea? Yes, restart done, my activity on Strava iPhone refreshed several times, nothing. I also tested with a new activity and it went through without issues.Thanks

As the title suggests, could the get athlete activites call GET /athlete/activities be extended to include the activity description ?At present, to the only way to obtain the description is via a second call to get the full details for an activity, which has an impact on the overall API calls made per day

Hi! I'm trying to update the descrption of a event using the create webhook. I'm getting response 200 with the updated fields every time, but for some reason the change is only sometimes visible in the activity it self.Any pointers or ideas how to fix?

Hi all,I've developed some app and while I was in development I had localhost as callback url, everything worked. Today I've deployed app on VPS on digitalocean droplet, I've bought domain and I am managing it through cloudflare (so I have https). When I try to to login to strava from my app which is deployed on that domain, I am redirected where I need to be redirected but when I take code that I got in redirect and try to get access token, I get an error:{"message": "Bad Request","errors": [{"resource": "AuthorizationCode","field": "code","code": "invalid"}]} 

I am using the heatmaps a lot for routeplannnig and I take great joy in seeing where I have been previously.Unfortunaly after the last update many of the activties have disappeared. It seems like water activities like kayaking are the most broken function right now. They can only be seen via the webbrowser heatmap and I can only see those I did a few years back not the recent ones.Could you please also a add selection box in routing and in the app, so that you can see all activty types at the same time. If it would be colour coded after activty type, it would be cool bonus.

Hello. I loged in to strava web on a new computer; using "Sign in with Google". It created a new Athlete, that it is now connected to my google account.On the old computer i can still log in as old user, but i am affraid that my old activities, challenges, photos, club memberships and so on are stuck on the old athlete, and that I am about to lose it all... did anyone have similar issue?thanks. 

Seeing a really odd issue over the last few days. All activities in my feed - including my own - are not displaying any images (map, photos) other than video. Everything is fine when I logon via a browser. I have tried logging out and back in again, deleting and reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to be working. I’ve also checked my security settings just in case - no change. Any ideas?

I've noticed on my bike rides that if I go to "Edit Activity" after a ride to change something, such as changing bikes to the correct bike rode during the ride, or changing the map style from 3D to 2D, correcting elevation etc. - then, the Est Avg Power(W) and Energy Output(kJ) decrease.Is this a known issue?

Hi, using the new Trail Run activity selection but have noticed the audio cue for splits does not read out the splits. Works fine for Start, Stop, Pause audio cue with the Trail Run, and the audio cue for splits and start, stop functions has no issues and functions as advertised. Have reinstalled app to phone and watch and reset all settings with no luck. Any help to resolve would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Matthew

so far I have used NRC. For 2-3 years, so there is plenty of data in it. I would like to import the data into strava, it doesn't show an error, but I can't see the data there. What could be the problem?

Hello, on the workout thumbnail, "Runs" show Distance, Pace, and Time whereas "Trail Runs" show Distance, Elevation Gain, and Time.  I'd like the Trail Runs to show Pace...why don't they show pace?  Or GAP?  Can you make it so that both "Runs" and "Trail Runs" show all four items--Distance, Pace, Elevation, and Time on the thumbnail?  Or perhaps users could customize what categories they want shown on the thumbnail for each activity type.

This is driving me crazy. I can see my active Challenges under Groups on the mobile app, but where is this view on the website? If I click on Challenges at the top of the home screen, it just shows me "Recommended For You" challenges that I could join. Where are my active ones?

I tried recording Rock Climbs on my Apple Watch, however it only records time and heart rate. So, no GPS data, no Elevation gain. Is this a specific limitation of the Apple Watch app? To overcome this I record the climb as a Hike, then change it to Rock Climb afterwards on iPhone/Web. But it would be preferable to record direct as Rock Climb 🧗‍♀️ 

I'm querying the Strava API with the getKudoersByActivityId request, and the SummaryAthlete objects that are being returned only have 'firstname' and 'lastname' fields. Is there a way to get more details of the athlete? I'm trying to get the profile pictures of every kudoer of an athlete. 

Hello, I would like to suggest adding these activities (rowing and skierg) as sports. I find it strange that they aren't there yet. Am I the only one or would others like to have them?

Hi..the last two morning walks I have done the steps have not recorded. This is the first time this has happened & nothing has changed on my iPhone. I can see the advice is to link the Strava app with health dater so it can record the steps taken but I have never had to do that process before today.Has anyone else had this issue just suddenly start on their iPhone ?Thanks Louisa   

Two times already strava synched a crazy high distance (>21'000 km) from a HIIT activity from Garmin connect. First it should note even show distance for HIIT activities, and Garmin for sure has no distance logged. And I cannot correct it in Strava. How to fix it? Here the screenshot:   Thanks  Dom

UPDATE FROM STRAVA: The issue with Peloton activities not syncing to Strava from the Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread and Rower has now been resolved.  If you still have activities that have not synced, please try re-sycning them by following these steps:  Go into your workout history on the Peloton bike/tread/rower tablet Click on a prior activity >> click the share button If you're still having difficulties after that, please submit a support ticket and we will investigate further.  We apologise for this issue and again, sincere thanks to all for your patience. I need to increase the number of athletes allowed to connect with the athletes in my organization, as we organize running activities. Additionally, I require access to other athletes' activity data that would enable my app to gather information for comparison and reward distribution purposes. What steps should I follow to achieve these objectives?
