New to the forum so apologies if in the wrong placeMy downloaded routes won't load once I'm out in the middle of no where with no Internet. This keeps happening. I can't even see my list of routes anymore to open the downloaded one. It just tells me there's a network error and can't load.  Surly there's an option somewhere to see the downloaded routes while offline?

Hi, I would like to know how to make a query on a segment using the API, and how to filter with the parameters that appear in the sorting table. For example: https://www.strava.com/segments/16956881 

I have a power meter, so I can see the total work number (in kJ) as I ride my bike. Unlike "calories burned", total work should be a fairly straightforward calculation from the power numbers in Watts (it's a discrete time integral). Once the ride is uploaded, Garmin Connect numbers agree with what the head unit was showing. However, the Strava value for total work is usually 2-4% lower. Any ideas why?

There’s a bug in the iOS app:Settings > Push Notifications > option Comments on Others’ Activities > disableThis doesn’t turn off notifications for comments on other people’s activities - I keep this disabled but once I comment on someone else’s activity, I am still being notified about new comments.This makes me think twice before e.g. congratulating someone on a great achievement as I don’t want to be hit by a surge of notifications that I’m not interested in. I’d be happy to comment more and encourage fellow athletes, but this bug is stopping me. 

Hi, in the recent past (Winter 2022) group challenges would show the individual contributions of participants working together towards a goal. That was highly encouraging to members because it showed the work they put in to the collective goal.Now for whatever reason, that statistic is now replaced by “last qualifying activity date;” I don’t think this contributes anything to the participant themselves or to others within the group. It’s frustrating actually to not see individual contributions. The dates of activities adds no value shown as the main metric when viewing group challenges.Having to click into the individual users to see how much they’ve contributed to the collective goal is an extra step that saps the fun of what group challenges used to be. No one wants to tap into each individual participant to see what should be the first thing shown from a UX/UI perspective.Is this something that may be changed back to its previous UI?

The API docs says that both getActivityById and getRouteById should return both a map.polyline and map.summary_polyline. However, my activities only have a polyline and don't have a summary_polyline. My routes, meanwhile, only show summary_polyline and no polyline. Am I missing something?Also, does anyone have a good description between polyline and summary_polyline?

My understanding is that the only way to register multiple apps is to create an account for each, as a single account cannot be associated with more than one app. As such I set up a new account, however was unable to register my new app as I did not have permission to access strava.com/settings/api. In the UI this appeared as the "My API Application" button not being present. I was unable to find any documentation discussing this, but then decided to sign up for the trial subscription and it worked fine from then on.This seems wrong as devs surely should not be expected to create and subscribe to a new account if they are woking on multiple apps as I am. Also there is no mention of this being a  feature of a sub, if it were intentional.Perhaps I am missing something or if not, could someone from Strava please help clarify the rational here?

Hi, my Strava account on an Android phone won't let me change email. The account and address is 12 years old and that email has not been used for anything other than Strava throughout those years. I honestly have no recollection of using it - note that I have always been permanently logged in so have never used it on a regular basis (logging in and out). I've no idea what my password is and I get no option saying 'forgot password?', so how am I supposed to progress with this??  It's infuriating!  Al. 😞

Can we pause notifications from Strava while injured. I’d really like to get back out there but I’m on strict bed rest the  light activity for the next 6 weeks. I’m already nervous about losing conditioning but Strava updates feel like nags.and I really do need to follow drs orders also it would be nice to be able to show injury or illness on the graph.

Hi, I started a challenge on 1st January and recorded the results manually and when I look at my activity feed it is reporting 31 December last year instead. I have checked the time zone settings and it says Sydney Australia and I've gone in to edit and it is 1st January, but then defaults to what looks like Los Angeles Time back in the feed. Are there any other ways to fix this? It's making my monthly tally short and I need to be able to show I've done 430 km for the challenge by the end of the month. Thanks

Hi, recent problem. I create a route - either drawing it on the app, or upload a gpx file, hit save and all should be fine. However the app shows (by the saved route count) that the route is created, yet it doesn’t appear in my list of saved routes! Website no better, the newly created route not displayed. Tried website using Chrome, no good. Did all obvious things like logout, delete app, remove cookies. No joy. Any ideas? I have logged a ticket but no idea how long that’ll take. Thanks. 

Hi all, I have gone through a big frustration with failures to add admins to my club. No matter what I use, my notebook with Firefox, Chrome and Edge, mobile app, I have tried everything and no luck with adding the admin. Whenever I click on the MAKE ADMIN button, the page resets and goes back to members page with no change whatsoever.Help please. Thank you, T.

HiI've got another new problem with the Strava app on my GW4. A bit of history... I'm not sure if it's been fixed (need to do more testing as it was very intermittent).Since then there has been a widely reported issue with the Samsung Wearable app which resulted in my having  to reset my watch. Since then I've encountered a problem that involves the app display behaving oddly. The timestop watch display appears to increment when the display is off but as soon as the display comes on the time resets to zero. Why does Strava regularly drop HR below 8°C after 45-50 minutes?

I have recently been logged out of my Strava and have lost access to the email account it was linked to. how do I recover the account? I am still able to automatically upload activities through the Garmin connect app and I am subscribed to Strava. Please help! This has been going on for days of back and forth of submitting requests and no one is responding  all the best

I did the discounted membership price on my correct account. When the discount page popped up for the subscription it made me continue from a different browser. I logged in through the 'sign in through email option' and ended up signing up for the subscription on a brand new account because I used a different email. I want to transfer my subscription from one account to the other. How do I do this?

Does anyone know why the location of public photos on routes is hidden? - It would be great to see where those photos are taken, especially when the route has longer distance.

I've been dual recording rides on my Zwift Hub One on both Zwift (BLE to an iPad) and my Garmin 840 (ANT+) because Garmin badges help motivate me and Zwift uploads don't count, annoyingly. Until tonight, both Zwift (always first) and Garmin would sync the ride to Strava and I'd delete the Garmin one. It's distance was always off (questionable distance calculations of Zwift notwithstanding). Tonight it didn't upload and the distance was a couple miles higher, though the time still overlapped as always. That's good, but a surprising change. Did Strava make a change to better eliminate dups based on time and effectively ignore distance? Just wondering if I can quit my ritual of having to hop on Strava and delete my Garmin-sync'd virtual rides.

There is no way to see full distance of Nordic Skiing. And even better if you could choose a period as Skiing season starts November and might end in May. There's also new year in between which makes the season tracking difficult because everything starts on January and ends in December. 

Nothing loads when I click on Flybys on my activity. This has just started in the last few days, no change to my privacy settings, which are set to allow all.

Hi,I just noticed that the Global Heatmap for my area suddenly has lost most of it's color.  It seems as it Strava is now filtering the Global Heatmap more aggressively and areas where previously I could see many routes there are now very few.  I use Strava for planning gravel rides in my area where the maps are not reliable, but without heatmaps I can't tell whether the roads are passable or not.I hope that Strava will dial back the filtering so that roads with fewer rides will also be visible, or provide controls for users to decide how much filtering to apply.-Donald

 Witam użytkowników strava premium,od pewnego czasu mam taki problem z segmentami live, zbliżam się do segmentu otrzymuje o nim powiadomienie ale kiedy się rozpoczyna strzałka nawigacyjna ucieka gdzieś,czas przeciwników się zeruje a mój czas biegnie tak długo dopóki nie ukończę ręcznie segmentu, przywróciłem zegarek do ustawień fabrycznych, wczoraj podłączyłem pod laptopa i zrobiłem synchronizację przez Garmin express oraz connect i dalej bez zmian , myślę że po ostatniej aktualizacji jest ten problem, proszę o pomoc.zaznacze jeszcze że zegarek nigdy nie miał kłopotów z GPS ,Garmin Fenix 6,czekam na odp.dziekuje i pozdrawiam  English Translation:  Hello strava premium users, I've had this problem with live segments for some time now, when I'm approaching a segment I get a notification about it but when it starts the navigation arrow goes somewhere, the time of the opponents resets and my time runs until I finish the segment manually, I restored the watch to factory settings

Hello,In the API is the Activity.total_elevation_gain field populated with Strava-corrected elevation or the elevation data originally recorded by the device / app? The documentation just states: "The activity's total elevation gain." Thanks

Hi all, I've noticed that my webhook is called 3 times when an activity is added or edited. Any reason why this is? There's obviously only one webhook setup at the strava side. I see them in my server logs with something like 7 minutes between them. There are push notifications in my app based on information from the webhook, so now people are getting multiple notifications. What can I do to debug this? My server responds with an empty json response within the specified 2 seconds. Thanks.
