Is the average cadence from the Strava API not showing steps per minute for runs? For some reason I'm not getting the same numbers through the Strava API for cadence and the Strava app which shows cadence as steps per minute. For example in one of my runs the average cadence is 185 in the Strava app, that is 185 steps per minute. But the value I get through the API is 92.4.

I've seen these poppoing up on the map and not really sure how to use them properly? I recently found you can long press these and routes pop up but I don;t know if these aer auto-genereated or come from the heatmap of the POI starting there. I'm interested in seeing POIs for parkrun, in theory that should pop up a 5k route that has been run thousands of times. However, I'm not seeing that so wondered what people were doing with them instead.

Apologies if this post is a duplicate, but I hit this as a new user. I asked friends who are long time users and they confirmed they've hit it also.It would be nice if say, when forgetting to switch an activity before a record, and the speed of that activity wasn't possible, rather than terminating the recording of the activity while it's underway (what I believe is what happens..) that the app would record the activity and when clicking "Finish" the app offered up "Hey, this activity was too fast for [activity]. Were you doing something else? [offer navigation to select another activity whose speed range lies within the Record's max speed].Example is doing a walk, then doing a bike - but forgetting to reset the activity type from walk to bike before that bike Record. In my case I got home from my bike (which was recording a walk) and the recording appeared to have just been terminated; the app was not Recording when I got back.I assume the termination of the record is to try to preven

I have set a distance target for my cycling stats this year but I’m unable to find a feature that will allow me to set a target for feet/metres climbed.is anybody able to point me to where this can be found or is Strava able to get this added as a feature please?

Looks like this has been a problem for over a year, Strava says its a "known problem". If that is true its known who's problem it is, Strava or Garmin. Strava's bandaid is to unstar all the segments and sync the device to flush the segments, then re-star the new segments you wish to load. Suggestion: make a list of the segments you want to keep with correct spelling. My issue with this overtly cumbersome process is I only get 60% of segments uploaded. If I star one segment, it doesn't appear. 2 segments, one of the two will be uploaded. 20 segments I will get 13 segments in the Garmin, with no control over which 13 appear. If this process is the only solution then using Garmin segments makes more sense.

I have Strava app on phone and watch, when following instructions on watch it points me to - https://watch.samsung.strava.com/ When I access the site I get the following error - {"message": "Internal server error"} I have tried different browsers on different devices and get the same error on all of them.

This is a strange happening that started recently. I usually run Strava and RWGPS at the same time during a ride. Most of my bike club members use Strava to record their rides to share their results. I also run RWGPS so that I can use the turn by turn cues.I’ve never had a problem running both apps at the same time until recently, where partway through the ride I no longer hear either of the two speaking. The apps still run perfectly, recording the route where I can end each one and save the results.I also noticed recently that Strava is also back to using the default voice. I had changed my default voice on my iPhone to a British English voice and Strava adopted that when giving me my “starting ride“, “stopping“, and “resuming“ cues. It’s no longer doing that no matter how I set my iPhone settings.It was suggested by RWGPS that I run the apps separately and not at the same time. Hi - I had a Fitbit Charge 2 watch for several years and all activity on my fitbit that used my iPhone's GPS was automatically sinced to Strava without any intervention from me. I just switched to apple watch recently and when I start an activity, I either manually start it in the activity app on my watch or the activity is auto detected on the watch. I have activated my strava account in apple health ( and vice versa) but my activity on my apple watch does not auto import in Strava. The activities does show in Strava but I need to manually import each of them. Is this the normal behaviour ? Am-I missing any setting ? Thanks !

Is it possible to edit the 3 default activity buttons on the Strava app on the Galaxy Watch? And to remove buttons on the full activities list? I can't seem to find a way to do it, and I may just not have found the correct search phrase(s) but not finding any info on the forums or Google on how to do this.  Thanks!

I am involved in a scientific research focused on athletes performance. For this, we need some health data of these athletes that should be captured during activities. I read Strava API documentation and noticed that it gives access to a bunch of health data. Therefore, when I was trying to register, it asked some information about our app that we don't have, because our goal is just to research and not to develop an app. Does Strava allow access to scientific researches to explore the API?

I did a ride yesterday.  When I finished I did not have internet (until the next day).  I stopped the activity and left it open over night.   Activity was gone this morning.  Is there a way to get it back?

I'm using the Indoor Run option to sync with treadmill runs. Consistently 0.1 to 0.15 miles behind actual. Outdoor runs no issues. Is there another setting to be adjusted?

Hi,  firstly apologies if this has been suggested or is fixable already within Strava. I'll be clear, I have not issue personally with heatmaps however, when I am following a saved route it is not helpful or useful having my global heatmap both the same colour and overlaid onto the map that I am trying to follow.  It would be more useful to have the saved route either as a separate colour or, preferably, turned off altogether.Trying to distinguish the route I am trying to follow from a heatmap that are both the same colour is confusing and quite frankly exasperating.

So, my main sport is mountainbike enduro racing and some XC riding. The decisions to block segments with a -0,25% slope removes 98% of the segments i want to ride and it includes both XC & enduro trails. I would like the option to sync those segments on my own risk to my polar watch so i can use the Live segments function. The only thing a want out of it is to see the final time when i have finished my run.Those segments are dangerous with rocks and trees so when strava decides to remove those segments for me it does nothing for my safety, One of the most popular XC trail nearby is claimed as hazardous because it has 2-3 50meter slopes on a 6km mostly flat trail, and it is a mess to send a "false hazardous flag" all the time

In my iOS App I implemented the authentication flow according to the Strava Documentation.Checking if the StravaApp is installed, if yes, I'm using <UIApplication.shared.open> to redirect to the StravaApp.If the StravaApp is not installed I'm using <ASWebAuthenticationSession>Everthing works OK, except in the case when the StravaApp is used for authentication.After the user has authorised the connection to Strava inside the StravaApp, it returns to my app but the callback to my AppDelegate never happens. So I don’t get the url with the authorization code. My App uses SwiftUI.
