Hi The Strava app on my GW4 has recently started having a problem recording heart rate data properly. On the 24th Sept it would record successfully: By the 29th it appeared to be intermittent. Recording HR using Samsung Health still looks ok so I believe it is a Strava app issue. I had a few watchapp updates during that period so maybe introduced as a result of those? Restarts etc. haven't helped. Thanks Mike

Is it possible to manually input training impulse on the Freshness and Fitness page? Power meter wasn't working on a recent ride, so no entry was made on this Strava page. A significant uptick in fitness would have occurred if the data had been registered. So my fitness curve is not reflective of actual fitness. On Training Peaks, data can be manually inputted such that it adjusts fitness based on your estimates. Even if not totally accurate, it seems better than a curve which doesn't move at all based on the lack of data. Thanks.

Subject pretty much says it all: Strava not recording HR correctly with Wahoo HR strap: when I go for a run using Strava iOS app and Wahoo Tickr HR strap connected via BT, the data recorded is ridiculously inaccurate. It will basically pick a HR and stick there for 10-15min, regardless of how hard I'm going (same HR for 15% uphill climbs and 6% downhill descents.) It is not the strap: I use the same strap for cycling and my Wahoo ELMNT Roam records accurate/ ie highly variable data.

I'm working on a browser-based app using the Strava API that I hope to eventually make publicly available. Originally, I was planning on having all of the communication take place in Javascript in the user's browser. However, since the POST that exchanges the auth code for an access token requires the client secret, so far I have needed to hard-code my client secret in the browser-side JS.This doesn't seem secure, but I'm not sure what the easiest method to secure it is. My first thought was to host a separate API to retrieve access tokens. Once the browser gets an auth code back from Strava, it sends it to the API, and the API talks to Strava to exchange the code for a token, and then sends the token back to the browser.This seems a little convoluted, and even more so if I would need to implement TLS on my new API to secure that communication channel. Is there another recommended way to keep my client secret secure?

I have a few "Currently connected athletes".The problem is that they got deleted in my app's database. Meaning that I'm not able to access their refresh token or short lived access token, even though I have their permission.Is there a way to retrieve or regenerate their refresh token?So that I can create their profiles in my db again.Second option is having them "create a user" again in my app.Thanks for any suggestion!

I just set up the Beacon feature on my Apple Watch Ultra 2, however when I initiate a workout I get a message stating, “We weren’t able to share your location with XYZ.  Tap to send your Beacon manually.”  I’ve tried multiple emergency contacts but I get the same message for all of them.  The Beacon message will send if I initiate a workout using my cell phone, but not if I begin a workout using my Apple Watch.  I do have cellular activated on my Apple Watch.  Any idea what the fix is for this?  Thanks.

I use Strava and have a Google phone and Strava doesn't sync to Google Fit. (I've disconnected accounts, revoked/granted permissions, cleared cache & storage and gone through a few other steps as guided on various websites.)I've just purchased a Samsung Galaxy watch to add to the confusion. I am trying to connect my peloton account to Strava but it says my Strava is connected to another peloton user.. I have disabled everything connected on Strava to Peloton but i have no idea how to reset this!

Hello -  I’m trying to figure out how to connect my Peleton with Strava.  I created my Strava account with google oauth and when I click “log in using google” on my Peleton I receive an error message that says “social login is not supported”. Any ideas? thanks

Hello. I created a dashboard. I'm using API /clubs/{id}/activities .All is good, but i can't separate two people because they have same name and surname start with same letter. Therefore i got an issue. Pavel S. - it's a two different people.Could you add any id, guid or something else for separate two persons near with firstname?

As a Strava user for over 10 years and several as a subscriber member; it is truly disappointing to continue to use the app and find Strava has removed access to every possible feature to those whom are not a subscriber! Sad that an app that many use to better their health by monitoring their activities and search for motivation to improve; you only find disappointment that every feature is a must subscription driven! Did you ever think of young students who are staring out a sport and they cannot afford a subscription. Strava has millions of paying subscribers sad you are so money hungry!

I am trying to upload an activity via the API with a custom name that contains special utf8 characters like an emoji. It seems that this is blocked by the API. Once I try that the whole activity won't be processed - but I don't get an API error back. or is something wrong on my side? I am using a standard multipart/form-data upload in Swift

I have developed a webapp ride analysis using advanced ECP-ExRec models. ECP = Extended Critical Power, ExRec = Acute anaerobic Exhaustion and Recovery.In this stand-alone app, the athlete browses for and uploads his data file in .fit formatI would like to integrate it into Strava as an authorized app. Is it possible to read the full content of a strava data file, such as timestamp, hr, power, alt, cad, etc...?To get an idea of the webapp https://glitch.typhooncycling.me 

Hi,I find the calories on connect do not synch well into Strava.Ex. Ellipitical calories after editing in Connect ( to synch with Technogym with weight/age data and synch to heart strap should be more accurate )  to then synch to Stara shows the original incorrect value not the new one.Why?

I'm not sure which API/Mapping service that Strava is currently using, but it is impossible for me to use the privacy feature to hide my home address.I live in Bahrain and the address system here is messy, so identifying an exact address is pretty difficult. Previously I could hide an address using GPS coordinates but that doesn't seem to work any more either.Anyone else facing these issues or have a better solution for me? I'm not really interested in hiding the start/end of all my activities as I don't really care when I start away from home.

Hello, I am using Samsung Galaxy watch (B62B) (Model No. SM-R800) for syncing my Strava activity. It was working almost fine till yesterday until I encountered issue on syncing my morning run from Strava to Strava servers through watch. Little did I realise at that time that it can be something to do with watch.samsung.strava being down and did multiple things to fix and now have landed up in difficult situation. Looking for some assistance now.Issues: 1. Not being able to sync activities. Getting error: “Sync failed (42)” and sometimes “Sync failed (99)”2. On reading internet, one of articles suggested going to Strava site and unlinking watch. Did that3. Now while, Strava site doesn’t know that my watch exists as I unlinked it, the app on my watch is still linked to account and there is no logout option!!! It opens up as before without prompting me to enter 4 digit new code to link again.4. Now if I try to sync activity, I get “Sync failed (7)”
