My Ergometer supports two modes: normal "bicycle" mode, and "handcycling". When it synchronizes the activites with Strava, I could manually change the sport type to "Handcycle" prior to the recent updates.Since the recent updates, new activities are automatically tagged as "virtual" (which is fine). However, within virtual activities, there are only three sport types: Virtual Run, Virtual Ride and Virtual Row. Because the virtual tag cannot be removed, I have no way anymore of properly recording my activities as handcycle.Hence, I suggest to add the sport type "Virtual Handcycle".Probably, there are also other sport types that should have a virtual twin. An option could also be, to not limit the sport types within the virtual flag, i.e. instead of "Virtual Run", you can just choose "Run" with the virtual tag.

I am not receiving any Strava notifications, and if I try to turn on 'Friends Activities' notifications, the app doesn't realize that it is on. The video upload did not like my link, so here's a video of the app not recognizing it's own settings.https://youtube.com/shorts/OCrteJIsOEE?feature=share

Hello!Our NGO (https://www.bartali.org.il), is organizing a "challenge" this weekend, in support of the children who lost their families in the war in Israel on October 7th.I would like to ask what is the best way to set up such a challenge on Strava, so people could log-in the miles they are riding, where ever they are (either from their Garmin or from ZWIFT) and it will all be summed on one dash board.Would truly appreciate your prompt help!!

This subscriber feature has been non-working for over two years now; I’m posting it here now in a hope to get some votes and, ultimately, a fix.Steps: In the iOS app, navigate to tab Maps, sub-tab Segments, and select either “Break your record” or “Climb the leaderboard” item.The “Break your record” feature is supposed to show segments with a potential to get a new PR. Instead, it only shows a small amount of segments (two in my case) with very outdated “Current PR” and “Projected finish”. When checking back in my running history, these numbers are from September 2021 (actually around the time when I switched from free Strava to subscription), and weren’t updated since then. The “Climb the leaderboard” should show where you’re close to get to the Top 10. But, instead of showing my regular segments where I actually am close to Top 10 or QOM, a bunch of random segments is listed, at a quick glance I never ran through a single of them. And I think the “Become a legend” feature i

A route designed for riding, when opening on the IOS app, is shown on a the heat map of runners. This creates confusion when wanting to deviate from said route, as you may turn into a path that is walkable but not rideable. Any idea what I am doing wrong or is this a bug? Note: I both run and ride and switch between making routes for both often. However, cycle routes are always shown on running heatmaps.

I’m thinking of organizing a one month walk/hike challenge for my colleagues at work. The winner at the end of the month will be the one with the most distance covered. Planning some prizes to give away as well. Would be great if I can create a challenge within the club page. 

When I use apps such as MySwimPro with the Apple Watch it automatically Tuens on the "water lock" feature on the Apple Watch.If I start a swim with Strava on the Apple Watch this doe snot happen. What is more, I cannot swipe up to manually turn on the water lock.Is this just me or am I missing something?

Is the Apple Watch Strava app affected by the new Low Power Modes for Workouts. Does switching on these setting affect a Strava Workout? And if not - can they be integrated? 1. Simple setting - Low Power Mode 2. Advanced setting - Fewer GPS and Heart Rate Readings  

I had to cancel and restart a new account , I have download all the data with my previous activities.. started to upload them, and then suddenly I have top a maximum .. do I have to wait 24hrs to continue uploading a few more, or is there another way .. Thanks in advance  

Is the average cadence from the Strava API not showing steps per minute for runs? For some reason I'm not getting the same numbers through the Strava API for cadence and the Strava app which shows cadence as steps per minute. For example in one of my runs the average cadence is 185 in the Strava app, that is 185 steps per minute. But the value I get through the API is 92.4.

I've seen these poppoing up on the map and not really sure how to use them properly? I recently found you can long press these and routes pop up but I don;t know if these aer auto-genereated or come from the heatmap of the POI starting there. I'm interested in seeing POIs for parkrun, in theory that should pop up a 5k route that has been run thousands of times. However, I'm not seeing that so wondered what people were doing with them instead.

Apologies if this post is a duplicate, but I hit this as a new user. I asked friends who are long time users and they confirmed they've hit it also.It would be nice if say, when forgetting to switch an activity before a record, and the speed of that activity wasn't possible, rather than terminating the recording of the activity while it's underway (what I believe is what happens..) that the app would record the activity and when clicking "Finish" the app offered up "Hey, this activity was too fast for [activity]. Were you doing something else? [offer navigation to select another activity whose speed range lies within the Record's max speed].Example is doing a walk, then doing a bike - but forgetting to reset the activity type from walk to bike before that bike Record. In my case I got home from my bike (which was recording a walk) and the recording appeared to have just been terminated; the app was not Recording when I got back.I assume the termination of the record is to try to preven

I have set a distance target for my cycling stats this year but I’m unable to find a feature that will allow me to set a target for feet/metres climbed.is anybody able to point me to where this can be found or is Strava able to get this added as a feature please?

Looks like this has been a problem for over a year, Strava says its a "known problem". If that is true its known who's problem it is, Strava or Garmin. Strava's bandaid is to unstar all the segments and sync the device to flush the segments, then re-star the new segments you wish to load. Suggestion: make a list of the segments you want to keep with correct spelling. My issue with this overtly cumbersome process is I only get 60% of segments uploaded. If I star one segment, it doesn't appear. 2 segments, one of the two will be uploaded. 20 segments I will get 13 segments in the Garmin, with no control over which 13 appear. If this process is the only solution then using Garmin segments makes more sense.

I have Strava app on phone and watch, when following instructions on watch it points me to - https://watch.samsung.strava.com/ When I access the site I get the following error - {"message": "Internal server error"} I have tried different browsers on different devices and get the same error on all of them.

Buona sera a tutti, la mia domanda è questa, da circa 10 giorni se provo a segnalare un attività svolta chiaramente in e-bike ma caricata come se fosse svolta in bici muscolare, Strava mi dice che "Non si è in possesso dei permessi per contrassegnare questa attività". Qualcuno sà dirmi come mai,  TRANSLATION: Good evening everyone, my question is this, for about 10 days if I try to report an activity clearly carried out on an e-bike but loaded as if it were carried out on a muscle bike, Strava tells me that "You do not have the permits for mark this activity". This is a strange happening that started recently. I usually run Strava and RWGPS at the same time during a ride. Most of my bike club members use Strava to record their rides to share their results. I also run RWGPS so that I can use the turn by turn cues.I’ve never had a problem running both apps at the same time until recently, where partway through the ride I no longer hear either of the two speaking. The apps still run perfectly, recording the route where I can end each one and save the results.I also noticed recently that Strava is also back to using the default voice. I had changed my default voice on my iPhone to a British English voice and Strava adopted that when giving me my “starting ride“, “stopping“, and “resuming“ cues. It’s no longer doing that no matter how I set my iPhone settings.It was suggested by RWGPS that I run the apps separately and not at the same time. Everyday I log my commute and track my progress under profile quick and easily. It’s been moved ? Where? I can’t find my progress for the year and stats … 

impossible to synchronize but run from the watch, several cross tests done without success, wifi deactivation, watch restart,... nothing works!

Hi - I had a Fitbit Charge 2 watch for several years and all activity on my fitbit that used my iPhone's GPS was automatically sinced to Strava without any intervention from me. I just switched to apple watch recently and when I start an activity, I either manually start it in the activity app on my watch or the activity is auto detected on the watch. I have activated my strava account in apple health ( and vice versa) but my activity on my apple watch does not auto import in Strava. The activities does show in Strava but I need to manually import each of them. Is this the normal behaviour ? Am-I missing any setting ? Thanks !
