Hi,I have added the stava app to my Apple watch but for some reason, it does not show the swim logo when I want to use it for a swim. It has outdoor run, outdoor bike, outdoor walk indoor of each of those three, hike, nordic ski, and workout. how can I put swim onto it?

Hi. on a slow lap my average wattage is much too high. how is this possible? i entered my weight 88kg and ftp 330 on zwift. i don't have power meters on my bike and i use a garmin explore hope someone can help me

Hi — I have a v weird glitch happening. I have segment audio notifications on so when I’m running I get the notice of half Km / times. That works fine. But after I have finished running, hours later, when the app is actually closed, I get random announcements of completing half a Km and a random time. Loudly on my phone.  I am not moving, I properly finished and uploaded my previous workout and the app is closed. Last night ut did it 9 hours after my run while I was in a play and my phone/ watch were in theatre mode. Any ideas?

I would like to prevent unwanted users to auth to my application.1. Is there a way I could POST some headers/data during authorization to "https://www.strava.com/oauth/authorize" like client_id?2. The use case is that I don't want users to share auth link like: "https://www.strava.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=99999&redirect_uri=https://mysecretwebpage.org&response_type=code&scope=activity:read_all"3. I just want the users to be possible to auth to my app when clicking a link from my webpage. This would act as a protection from copy&pasting the link.Thanks.

I tried Apple TV (recently I got aware that I no more need to take a macbook to the TV, dropping sweat on it, if I switch to an Apple TV device and I immediately bought one) and found two cases where my virtual rides became physical rides in Strava:1) Kinomap on Apple TV is very limited, it doesn't export rides and I created a manual activity in Strava. Maybe I was ambisinister and didn't find how to do this the right way, but my manual activity was created as (physical) ride2) I tried some app called PsychoRide, it failed to upload to Strava directly, so I uploaded to Training Peaks and exported a gpx from there to upload to Strava. I suspect that somewhere around Training Peaks my virtual ride became physical rideNow I know (c), but these two rides are unnecessarily physical ones

Hi all, will Strava add live segments to the Samsung Watch5?. I can't seem to enable this anywhere.  I know Garmin watches support this but it's not on Samsung watches as of yet.

Dear Strava cummunity,I have the problem, that a running strava activity "blocks" my dynamic island. Normally you can swipe to the right to remove it. That works with all other apps, but not with strava. The compass arrow reappears immediately, so it is not possible to display another activity if strava is running.I can not use strava any more, because I use the dynamic island to view my heart rate. Thats not possible if strava is running because of this behavior.I think this is a bug of the strava app. Or any possible solution?Thanks!Michael

Hey, Gang: I’m 75, and train seriously. Yesterday and today I pr’d on several local segments. The main page indicated that I had a pr for several segments and the times for the segments were correct, BUT my age group (75+) shows an older time (a few months prior). I repeated the same segments today and pr’d again, and the same thing happened: Strava indicates my correct time, but my age group (75+) shows an old time. It’s the same issue on the all time and the this year’s portions, as well. Here’s what I’ve done to try and remedy the issue: 1) Waited 24 hours (no change); 2) Deleted the biking activity, and reloaded from Garmin; 3) Repeated the same ride the next day (today), but no change; 4) Reached out to Strava to talk with support, and sent photos (they haven’t responded in any meaningful manner (just promises); 6) Logged in, and restated the program. I want to get activity streams and especially cadence, watts and temp for 1 activity.Problem: with my requests below, I can only see 'temp' and not cadence and watts.header = {'Authorization': 'Bearer ' + access_token}param = {'keys': ['cadence', 'watts', 'temp'], 'key_by_type': True}time_list = requests.get(url, headers=header, params=param).json()Does it mean we are able to do only 1 key per request ? Meaning I should have to do 3 requests and not only one ? Thanks

I want to delete the primary photo associated with a Strava activity so that I can replace it with an updated version of it.I do not see any DELETE endpoints in the Strava API docs at the moment.How can I achieve this using the available Strava endpoints? 

Hi there, Following the docs I've gotten to the point where I can't make any requests with the `@auth-spa-js` Auth0 client, since it default attaches `openid` to the beginning of the scope on any request. Thus, when trying to login with this client, I get a `scope invalid` message, since the scope is `openid+read` instead of `read`. It seems they aren't planning on changing this, so is there any way for openid to be an expected scope? (source of them not planning to change it: https://github.com/auth0/auth0-spa-js/issues/433)

Can the Webhook Events API be extended to include changes to other data? Currently we can only recieve a webhook for these 3 events: Title Type Privacy However other changes, like media changes (photos or videos) don't have a notification. And I'm seeing these additions after the initial activity creation quite often. The Strava mobile Application event has a separate "Add Media" context menu item but these adds are silent from the Events API perspective.  

Hello! 🙂 I have an issue with syncing two of my activities. I can see that the activities are reflecting in my feed and other people can see it as well. But the syncing status is never complete. I tried logging out and logging back in and  updating the app. But it never seems to disappear. It's been 2 days now. Any idea what could be the issue here? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Please bring back the KOM category icons in the athlete KOM lists.  It was a quick and easy way to see and differentiate actual climbing koMs from flat segments and others.

Hello, GET `activity` from the API includes `segment_efforts` array containing incorrect id values. They are all missing at least the last two digits. I just started using this recently, and it seems like this is something people would have noticed already. Is it a new change? example: url of segment effort on Strava.com:  https://www.strava.com/activities/{activityId}/segments/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX336 what gets returned in API response: {..., segment_efforts: [{id: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX300, ... }], ... } note the last three digits in the URL: "336", and in the API response: "300" This is for an identical segment effort, and can be repeated for every segment effort I tested Calling API for GET segment_effort with id XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I would like to develop only for myself (not for other users). Is there the concept of personal access tokens like many other APIs have for this purpose so I don't have to build the oauth flow just to get my own data? Examples of companies having this are Airtable and Github. 

1. Everything fine after my new garmin 265 upload the activitiy to Strava , but strava didn't show the data is from 265. However my old 945 does. anyone got this problem too?2.  Is it possible to change the data field from Calories to Average HR?

I noticed a few days ago that someone has changed the format of the KOM lists in user profiles to show, I think, the number of users to have completed the Segment.  This would be a good improvement but when I look today the additional column is no longer there.  I thought there might be some explanation in the forum but I couldn't see anything (I try to sort posts by newest first but it doesn't seem to work so I'm not sure if I missed something).There is a new tab to now also apparently show Segments with Top 10 placings, which also seems a good idea, however, it currently shows I have more KOMs than Top 10s which makes no sense to me (surely every KOM is also a Top 10 or am I missing something ?).There also seems to have been a change to date formats which now show as ambiguous m/dd/yy - this may be fine for people using "American" format but I personally find it confusing (I have to think whether 3/04/23 might be 3 April or 4 March).  Can we please go

Last day, I decided, that I could try Workout app on Apple Watch instead of Strava. The main reason was, that Strava app doesn't record Cadence and there is no option, to setup intervals (and warmup, cooldown etc.). So far for this purpose, I was using Intervals Pro app from time to time. But the cadence reading was strangely off when exported to StravaSo I setup simple workout with 6 minutes warmup, one Work segment 5 miles long and 6 minutes cooldown.In activity App there is everything correct. Three intervals showing right data. Cadence. I have new strava profile.  Why in search conntact not showing my prifile?

I love the auto pause function so that Strava pauses when you stop running to have a sip of water or tie your shoes. The only unfortunate thing is that it doesn’t give the ‘real’ picture of a run and makes competition and comparison more unrealistic. As it is now, you can run as fast as you can for 2 miles and then sit to eat lunch for 30 minutes before running again as fast as you can for 2 miles. Strava will then, with auto pause, show that you have been running very fast for 4 miles which is not exactly true. A way to make use of the function in a good way would be to be able to show on an activity if and perhaps how many times the activity has been paused. This would make Strava better by eliminating unrealistic ideals in a world where everyone compares oneself to every other.

Hi,  My daughters name does not appear on the leaderboard for a certain Segment. Is it because of her age? She can see on her run analysis that she has clocked a time on the segment but her name does not appear on the overall list. Regards Ivan

Well, the title says it all, folks... It seems like this is gonna be a tough one to implement in Google App Scripts. There's not much out there in general for setting up these Strava webhooks, but it's even worse when trying to find ANYTHING on setting up in Google App Script. It seems to me, my best bet may be to migrate my code over to React/NodeJS/Java and go from there, given I can use ngrok and other libraries a lot more freely (and there's more information out there for the latter). Does anyone have any thoughts? Are you aware of ways to accomplish this in Google App Scripts, or do you think my best bet would be to migrate over to another, more widely used (and compatible) platform? I currently use polling to acquire my authenticated athlete's activities, but there's huge limitations to this given the data pulling limitations by Strava's API.   Here are some of the resources I've been looking at: -
