I want to be able to track distance on the skis I use.

I want to find people to run with.I want to identify one or more people in my geography who typically run distances, elevation changes, and average paces which are similar to mine.I imagine that Strava doesn't want to share one member’s phone number, email address, or physical address with another member.  So Strava could send information, such as pace and weekly distance, to both members, and then both members could agree to share their contact information.

Began using Strava for gym workouts. I’m using a Wahoo Tickr HRM connected to the app (IOS). My height and weight are in the app. At the end of my workouts, I see time, AVG HR and Max HR. Does it not also calculate calories burned? If so, what am I missing? Thank you. Mike

I wanted to share some challenges I've been experiencing on your platform. I genuinely love the features Strava offers, but recent issues have made it difficult to fully utilize the app as a new user.When creating my club, I had to contact support for verification before it was approved. While I appreciate the review process, this step felt unnecessarily cumbersome and was not communicated clearly. Since creating the club, I’ve been facing ongoing issues as the admin. My posts aren’t being processed, and several group members have reported the same problem.I’ve already attempted the standard troubleshooting steps—reinstalling the app, refreshing it, and updating my device. Unfortunately, these measures haven’t resolved the issue.It’s frustrating to encounter these roadblocks, as I was excited to grow a community on Strava and optimize the app for club engagement. I’m beginning to feel that the platform is not streamlined for new users trying

This is more of a UI fix than a feature request.I’ve recently done a 300km+ ride. On the desktop/website, I’d like to hover on each segment, and see which parts on the Map gets highlighted. But the list is huge, and I have scroll way down, when then I obviously cant see the map.I suggest moving the segment list on the right side of the Map, and having a scrollable section as tall as the map itself. This allows side-by-side viewing of the map and segment list.

The Strava App on Galaxy Watches is great, but very rigid and not customisable. There are two factors on the interface that bothers me a lot (as a very regular mountain biker).On the Strava shortcut tile on Galaxy Watches, there are only 3 unchangeable fixed options: Run, Bike, Walk, and a “More” button. I have to always click the “More” and scroll a whole mixed list of sports (which is not even in alphabetical order, fyi) to find “Mountain Bike Ride”. I would really like to add that as a shortcut, instead of one or more of the 3 options on the tile face. When pausing an activity on the Watch, the big red button that appear afterwards is “finish”. In 99% of my cases, I do not want to ‘finish’, but want to ‘resume’ (after pausing). I use pause/resume way more often. Please can we have an option to switch the giant ‘finish’ button with the tiny ‘resume’ button located immediately below it?Many thanks,Rehman

Hello, When creating a custom challenge you can only use longest activity, fastest effort, or total activity as the benchmark for the challenge.However, having the ability to create a challenge based on a X number of activities in Y amount of time would be great, for ex. Complete 100 rides or runs in a year, or 15 activities in a month, etc. It came to my mind after seeing a challenge of riding 100 days a year in pinkbike.com, being able to follow your progress and share this kind of challenge with someone else in Strava would be nice. 

The ability to add a song to a Strava post, similar to the feature is used on Instagram, would be a great addition to the app. Users could add a song that represents the activity, or that they listened to at the time. This would be a great feature that me and my friends have been long waiting for. Thanks!

I am unable to make posts. When I click post it goes away as if I created a post but when I look under my posts there is nothing there. 

My coach shared the run we did this morning to add to my Strava profile. As of yet it has not been added.What could be the problem?

Advice soughti have the free Stava account, no subscriptions. can I obtain my total distance for all activities (I only use it to collate my walks). Or is this something you have to pay for?advice keenly sought!TIARuss

I've been a paid subscriber since 2016, and unlike all the people who complain about a lack of features in the free account, I see a real value in Strava that I'm perfectly happy to pay for. That being said, I believe that premium users should have more control over their Strava experience than free users. One of the benefits of a premium membership should be the ability to filter the feed to see only the kinds of activities that I want to see and to ignore all the junk that I don't care about. I want to be able to see real outdoor bike rides and runs along with very little else. I don't want to see everytime someone walks their dog around the block or mows the grass, and I especially don't want to see pretend video game bike rides. Looking back through the list of feature requests in this forum, feed filtering is at or near the top of the list of things Strava users want most. Make this a feature of the premium subscription and you will probably have more people willing to pay for

I have a Arboleaf scale that automatically sends my weight to Apple Health which automatically updates other apps. Can you make it so that Strava automatically pulls my weight from Apple Health so I don't have to update it manually?

Hi everyone,Strava’s competitive and athletic features attract cheaters and fraudsters. We constantly encounter cases where segments are completed using cars, motorcycles, e-bikes, and other tricks. What’s even more surprising is that Strava allows uploading any tracks, which are essentially text files with XML markup, without any validation.To prove my point, here’s an example of a website that lets you “speed up” your own (or even someone else’s) track, making the result indistinguishable from a real activity: https://starva.duckdns.org/Try it yourself and see—there’s no protection in place. Meanwhile, you’ve disabled FlyBy by default and keep cutting features in the free (non-subscription) version. Wouldn’t it make more sense to focus on tackling cheaters?

Hello, I emailed on the first of January to request a refund for my 2025 subscription. I forgot it would auto renew on the first.  I followed the instructions recieved and provided all information required. I recieved an auto generated email back saying staff are on holiday and responses are taking longer over the festive period.  My ticket number is #3182322 - I recieved no response until today when I recieved another automated email saying “We haven't heard back from you since our initial reply, so we hope our suggestions were able to help you with your ticket #3182322. If we haven't been able to resolve your issue, question or feedback, please reply in the next 24 hours to re-open this ticket.” I have responded but I am worried I will again receive no response and once past 14 days I will not be able to receive a refund. Pleas

Let users categorize activities as “backpacking”. Carrying a heavier bag with overnight gear on multi-day outings leads to a slow pace but high exertion level. Distinguishing these from hikes would be great

The website lets us filter saved routes by distances up to 50 miles. I rarely ride less than 50 miles. I have many routes of 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100+ miles. The mileage filter needs to not stop at 50. I’d say go up to 150.The cell phone app has no saved route filter at all. Add a distance filter for saved routes on the phone app. And of course make it go up to at least 150 miles in increments of 10 miles.

I’d love to see cold plunge, sauna and steam bath as three recovery event type. Being able to record duration, temperature, and heart rate would be awesome. Thank you. 

It would be very useful to be able to place routes into folders. I have quite a few routes set up, both for riding around my home range and for trips I have planned. It would be great to organize them into related folders or groups.  When planning a route,  the blue dots where pictures have been taken are awkward to work around. Sometimes they expand on their own and won’t go away, obscuring a feature you’d like to see. Other times you can’t get them to expand even when you do want to see them, because placing the cursor over them generates the “place waypoint/end route here” prompt. Ideally they would remain closed as the default, but would be accessible any time you placed the cursor over them. It would be far easier to simply move the cursor to a nearby spot if you truly wanted to place a waypoint or terminate the route than it is to work with things as they are now. 

Please come up with some more group challenge options. At the moment its very limited. 

For the last 3 years I’ve created a challenge for my friend group (both individual and group). One year it was to run 1000 miles (individual challenge), another year was to complete 1000 hours of activity (individual challenge), and this last year was to run/walk/bike/board/etc the circumference of the globe (group challenge). Goals are limited to time and distance. I would love to have more options to create those challenges. For example, the most PRs in a year, the most different activities participated in a year, the longest streaks in a year, etc. 

Sometimes we forget to pause, and sometime auto-pause just doesn’t work (i.e. when you are in a building). You are in the middle of a large ride or run, and now there is an ugly spot on your heatmap. What do you do?Similar to how we have the option to crop and split, I suggest adding a new feature to the same interface which allows merging movements between two timestamps to a single point - on condition that the before-and-after GPS points are not far apart.Example scenario:I cycle from A to C, and enroute I enter a building B, and forget to pause Strava. This causes an ugly clutter on the Strava Map for the entirety of my stay in that building.Lets say I left A at 1pm, visited the building from 1:45pm to 2pm, and then reached C at 3pm. I would like to merge/consolidate all the gitters/moves on the map from 1:45pm to 2pm to a single point - effectively making it look like I had 'paused' Strava from 1:45pm to 2pm.

Picture the scene. Its a nice day, the sun is out, the sky is blue…. so you go for a run, ride, swim etc…  You are having such a great time, smashing PR’s you get distracted and end up being out much longer than expected, or hit a technical issue….  unfortunately, your colleague/boss  follows you, but you did this activity in work time, maybe when working from home? Or maybe you do GPS art and something was not suitable for your colleague/boss etc to see. I want to be able to hide an activity from a specific follower or followers. I cant see how to do this, so assume it is not possible yet. Its a really useful feature.
