Strava Features Chat

Hello, one of my favourite functions in strava is to navigate with the perfect maps in combination with heatmaps. So I have an idea if a trail is practicable or not. When I can also see my personal heatmap I can see if the trail brings me to my familar tracks. For this procedure there is not a practical funktion in strava but to go to the "maps" funcion and go to segments or routes. Unfortunatly the map then is confusing due to the suggested routes or segments, which I do not need in my mentioned case. And the display is not shown fully in this feature. Is there a solution or funcion I do not know?

Strava seem to encourage users to self police segment leaderboards, however this is severely hampered by limits on the number of flags that can be raised on activities.I've tried to raise this issue via the ticket system, but each time my request is ignored and no feedback is provided.How do Strava expect users to perform this service if we can only flag a small number of invalid activities?If users don't have the tools to keep leaderboards clean and Strava won't perform this checking themselves how do they expect this task to be achieved?

I gave recently ridden a route in Dalby Forest, England.The segment is called get loose for Lewis. I rode the tarmac road near to it. Strava has twice recorded my ride on the road as a ride on the segment. I'm now K.O.M on a segment I didn't ride. I personally don't care about segments, but those who do will be quite pi..ed off at my false achievement knocking them further down the leaderboard. It's time the false recording of segments is tightened up for those who use it, and those that cheat deliberately, banned from using Strava.ADMIN, PLEASE ADDRESS THIS.   

I have saved an activity from my Galaxy Watch 6, while on the watch it shows that the activity has been synced, on the phone app, there's a permanent display of "Processing Activity" showing up in my activity tab. I tried restarting my phone, login and out of the app, clearing cache on the phone, and tried resyncing on the phone, refreshing the activities by pulling down and it just won't disappear. While I already accepted the fact that activity has been loss, I wished the "Processing Activity" can at least be removed.  

today I ran a PR in my 10k and it didn’t show up. I’m not usually worried but there was a lot of hills and I could have quit but I didn’t lol any fix? 

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m new to Strava and was wondering how can I see other people’s activities in my area? I feel like I can’t see anyone’s activities and nobody can see mine, my privacy and settings are all set to everyone

Dear Strava,  I know when I have completed an activity, I don’t need a notification for every activity, please turn these spam notifications off. 

Just found that I could not upload any GPX files in the route maker since yesterday. It just said" There was a problem processing this request. Please try importing your file again or try another file". However, Those GPX files could be uploaded without any issues before. Has anyone experienced this problem?

It would be nice to filter the import to certain activity types.For instance my walks are transferred to Strava and there I delete them.It would be much easier to exclude them from import.It is probably requested earlier, but I could not find it.

  Hello there.I need help to solve this issue: in my App, on the display runs, the pace (RP) no longer appears, only the elevation gain (see attached). I’ve been on leave and just logged on to give some kudos to some mates and nether the web nor app version of strava is showing any activity of any of the people I follow since 9 May.   I’ve been inactive but I’m pretty sure everybody else just didn’t stop exercising because I was in Italy eating gelato!

I really like the Relative Effort feature on Strava as I feel it helps with motivation. However, a couple of weeks back I did a Lactate Threshold Heart Rate (LTHR) test and following this I adjusted my HR zones using the newly calculated LTHR. Since then it seems that the RE figures for my activities are quite a bit lower although I don't feel like I am working any less hard. Is this because of the change to my zones? The RE graph currently suggests I am working below average at the moment (very demotivating). Do I just have to wait for the average to sort itself out?

I can still see all the data (elevation chart, HR chart, cadence chart, etc.) on the web version of Strava, but the "View Analysis" button has disappeared from the phone app. Friends of mine can still see this when they view my workout, but I don't have an option to do this anymore on my phone.I upgraded my iPhone to v.17.5.1 yesterday afternoon and I have a feeling that this triggered a bug in the Strava iPhone app. I have deleted the app (and data) then reinstalled it but problem remains. Any other ideas?

Hi everyone, I suddenly stopped seeing the heart rate analysis on my activities (pie chart with heart zones). Not only on mu recent activities, but also older ones where there was. any ideas? Has it been taken off? thanks

Did weather data break? I don't see it populating for any 2024 rides on mobile or desktop. I do have Premium, and it's there for old rides. I'm seeing it as missing on other athlete's rides, too.  

Hi I’m new to Strava and open water swimming.i have a question re: tracking distance and time using my Garmin Venu 2 watch. As far as I know my watch cannot track open water swimming. Time yes, distance and gps, pretty sure not. I’ve downloaded the Swim Coach app and from my understanding, it can’t either. Anyways. I downloaded the Strava app and used it for the first time yesterday. To my surprise, I found this on my Strava when I got home. I’m delighted with it. But can somebody enlighten me which of the above produce this? My garmin venu 2 or swim coach app?  Many thanks!! 

If it wasn't for my GF, I wouldn't know - I get trophies, I see the trophies in my activity, however the achievements are showing differently in her feed. See here, my last two activities:  And this is how she sees the acitivities: I refreshed the acitivity achievements but no help. What am I missing here? Thanks.

I'm not getting Ride workout analysis for my rides, but my friends getting the same for their rides, What is stopping me to get this? Kind support pls. (images of mine and my friend rides are attached)   

Hi Guys  Would love If strava would give KOM badges by age group. I'm 60 and cycle a lot I cant get near the top but within age category I'm up there. At 60 I'm never going to beat 25 year olds but just because we are veterans dosnt mean that we are not competitive with our age group.   What do you all think 🤔 🤔 

It seems to me Strava invested a lot of development effort into restricting the possibilities to edit components, leading to the user being handcuffed.I simply want to maintain a list of components, the date each was added, and the date each was removed from a bike - that's all. No complex programming logic is needed.I sometimes want to add a note or change the name of a retired component. And I sometimes want to move a component from one bike to another. And yes: I also had a case where a frame was replaced, but all other components stayed - it still counts as the same bike to me.Concrete Suggestions:- adding a frame after you retire one should be enabled (or at least allow un-retiring it)- editing retired components should be enabled- editing the actual "retired on" date should be enabled- moving a component from one bike to another should be enabled (or at least add a field for starting mileage and age of a component at the time it was added to a bike)Thanks for listeningChrist

Yesterday, on June 2nd, 2024, I first uploaded the route from my Android and it showed that it was my 2nd best marathon time. Then I uploaded the same route from the Bryton Rider 15 and deleted the route recorded by the Android. Now it incorrectly shows that it is my 3rd marathon time, even though it is actually my second best time. Refreshing the activity achievements doesn't help. What should I do to display it correctly?

I recently loaded the official Strava route for the Ford RideLondon Essex event.I am now wanting to delete the route from my profile - but the Delete option no longer exists for that route - same on the computer and the iPhone.The route link is from https://www.strava.com/athletes/22990931Anby thoughts on how to get rid of it as it appears locked out.
