Strava Features Chat

Strava seems to have updated their app now I can't select All Sports on the page above with the graph that shows total time, elevation and distance. Now I have to tap the new Show more stats button. Even then when I can select All Sports not all the stats are shown at once. What I could see on one easy to access page before is just not available at all. Please put it back how it was Strava.  You have broken the function of the page I used the most. I can't understand how anyone could say these latest changes are an improvement. 

I created a post and included an animated gif that works in the form for creating the post but when I view the finished post in the Strava feed the animation does not work, it simply sits on the first frame. Is this a bug that should be reported?

Saw the recent note about streamlining segments by only keeping the most popular ones, detecting and removing fake attempts, etc. That's great. That said, I would say that one reason why some people make duplicates is an attempt to make a better spatial representation of the route so that anyone taking shortcuts will not have their attempt registered. In making this update to segments, I highly recommend strava update the GPS match precision required for a segment to register.As an example, take the Black Widow trail in San Diego, CA, black mountain area. The trail starts with a few switchbacks but there is also a steep hiking trail straight up the middle. Some bombers with their DH bikes send it straight down this trail, but their rides are registered into the segment with all the switchbacks. As a result all of the top attempts for the Black Widow trail are from DHers skipping all the switchbacks because the GPS registration is too forgiving. I am hoping a change could reme

Often when planning a weekend long run, I'd start by planning a route, then star a few segments along the route. But now it does not longer seems to be a way to see what segments exist along the route. On the route planning map, I can turn the segments layer on, but that would show all segments in the vicinity, and with the route displayed, it is almost impossible to see segments that are overlayed with the route. There is no list of segments either. I am sorry to tell you, but this "optimization" of the UX has made it much harder to use.Also, there is a problem with the implementation - it is impossible to select a segment to see its details if its start aligns with a POI or a waypoint. Also, it seems that a lot of segments are simply missing.

Suddenly I'm getting lots of pictures in my feed from people I do not follow. Seems to be coming from clubs I am a member of. Almost exclusively pictures of bikes. Some days so many that it feels like real spam. Is there a way to filter these out or is quitting the clubs my only options?

Sorry, Strava team, what have you done on creating routes? What worked perfectly before now doesn't! Shifting proposed way between two route points to another route does not work correctly anymore. Sometimes it's possible, sometimes not. And 'Undo' also does not do what one expect. Please keep it simple as it was before! Thanks very much in advance, Rainer.

Many cyclist friends are abandoning Strava because of the segments. They would like to be able to make the times on the segments private but still leave the activity visible. Introducing a function that makes the times on the segments private would solve the problem.

I submitted a ticket over 3 weeks ago and still haven’t had a response

I’ve done 2 runs tonight and on my second one I cannot see any best effort data at all and it’s isn’t showing on app or website. It was a 3.25km run so presumably long enough to get at least some data. I can see the best effort data for everyone else who i ran with and it is showing for my first run of the night but not the second.segment info and pace info all showing fine, just nothing on best efforts… very strange! Help.    

I've been flagging a lot of activities lately, and finding the entire process very difficult due to only being allowed to flag 10 activities under a 24 hour period (starting from when the last flag was raised). This is the most problematic on Walking segments, with users either accidentally logging activities that should be runs/bike, forgetting to turn off when they get in the car, or worse just doing it deliberately, but the volume of people doing it is very high - over COVID this became very problematic as most of the data I see of people abusing leader boards stems from 2020-2021.Can we review this process as the segment leaderboards are frequently abused and the limit to the flag feature does not allow easy community validation, which Strava insists is the only way to manage these Segment Leaderboards. Some suggestions below1. Strava guesses power - "Est Power". Is there a way to export these predictions to a fit or gpx file or some other?

There is a lot of fake KOM and cups these days where athletes forget the bike computer in the car or use an E-bike. these records could be easily detected. I suggest Strava to be more tough on these records by implementing some double checks like heart rate vs. power if someone wants to be in top 10 for a segment the results should be accepted only if there is more metrics than speed available, a power result or heart rate to validate. also it should be easier to reposrt a fake achievement

Be a great feature to create Pull data from Group rides.  Could use Fly By data to determine who from the group is on the lead and therefore Pulling, and capture the data for when they are on the front (Power, Speed, HR, etc) and create a summary listing each Pull as well as a total/average for all Pulls.

There are tons of data available when using a watch os device that is saved in iOS. One of them is cadence, which is a datapoint all runners want. 

I looked at my power curve comparing 'All of 2022' to 'Last 6 weeks' and discovered that a ride that I did 10 days ago shows up in 'All of 2022' curve, but not in the 'Last 6 Weeks' curve. Is this a bug or is there some logical explanation for it?

I would like to report an error when browsing segments on maps (https://www.strava.com/maps/segments PC web version) when a person is blocked. When we select segments on the map and then the KOM belongs to a blocked person, it is not possible to enter such a segment. The browser throws an error or displays a white page (each Chrome, Firefox, Edge). Please fix the error, I don't need to watch the blocked person, but I would like to view the segments 🙂

I am currently doing my workouts in a properly air-conditioned gym to avoid excessive sweating, which can be harmful to my head since I underwent a hair transplant last week. I must track my workout and other activities as I need to monitor my daily energy and calories burned. However, I am working out in a static location where my GPS location remains the same. Can you suggest a suitable mode for tracking my activities in Strava?

I'm not since when, probably about a week, that my activity feed only displays today activities. The android app and browser appears to have the same issue.

Strava has voice notifications for mileage in some but  not all activities.  I like to know when I hit each mile when I'm walking and hiking, but that feature is only enabled for running.  Can that be changed?  In addition, auto pause works well for cycling, but is not available for walking or hiking.  Can that also be changed?  I note that the Nike app has both of those features.

Help! I have been running every single day for a year soon and I' trying to edit the headlines 1/365 to 365/365, but I'm getting an error now, anyone has the same problem? 

My wife has been billed for two memberships.  Ticket submitted but no response...other than standard, we received it.  #3049718  Looks like it's for the past two years.  I'm not sure how this could happen and we'd like an answer before it gets charged back....and happens again.  Thanks

I follow about 40 people on strava, never had an issue. I followed a new person and now all I see is all their activities and no one else's. Any ideas? Obviously if I click on my feed, all my activities are displayed. 

Hello everyone, I don't understand the recent evolution about the gravel Heatmap. I had a lot of traces around my house, the gravel heatmap was rich. Right now, it's empty. It was possible to trace a track thank to heatmap but now it's just impossible. It's a shame.Do you have the same problem ? The heatmap works  only near the big gravel spot . Thank you for your help.SC  

Suddenly hiking speed in mph on the main screen has been replaced with steps. Analysis shows pace which is not something hikers care about. Segments show mph but not the entire hike. Can’t imagine why this change after all these years
