Hi - i'm a new convert from Nike Run App and one thing I liked about that service was that I could see mile markers on the map (in the app) of the run I just did.  I can see how to get mile segment info overlayed on the map via the Strava website.... but is this a setting to enable in the Strava app?  Thx in advance.

I started up the app today and was greeted by a routes interface that is somehow even worse than the previous version.It preserves aspect of the route builder that I disliked the most: it seems to simply use other people's routes to suggest one for you instead of generating something truly novel. This means it typically won't take you anywhere new most of the time, and simply regurgitates an unchanging list composed mostly of other people's routes, as opposed to actually suggesting new routes, stringing together segments, using your own heatmap, etc. When I select a 15-30 km trail run, how can it only find one route? There are hundreds of segments and dozens of trails in my city, if this were truly working as a route generator, surely it could find more than one!I could be misunderstanding how this works, but the

How can I declined a tag or mark.  i was tagged for envy I know, I didn't get any email notification but i see the flag that you explain and also I can tell something was not ok because I create new segments on no named roads and the chart of times is not updating loading so I know is not common. what can I do 

I loved the average run pace display then I paid for the subscription and that changed to average split pace and I hated that.  I canceled my subscription hoping to get average pace back and now it gives me my mph speed.  How do I get back average pace???! 

Hello, I live in Oregon, but the Web Route Builder defaults to Washington DC for me (I used to live there a decade ago). How can I update the Web Route Builder to start closer to where I live?

I commute at minimum have 30 rides in 90 days. On some of the segments I go through I've always had the most attempts. But this breaks local legends. If I go through one of these segments it doesn't register as an attempt. That means I also don't get the quickest of the day data as well. But there are other segments I go through that I have lost the most attempts and these segments work just fine. I unsubscribed and re-joined local legend. Still the same thing. My attempts on the segments that I've never lost still don't count!

I am trying to use the heatmap to find new trails, by comparing my routes with the global routes. Some but not all of my routes are missing. I have seen a few other related reports such as https://communityhub.strava.com/t5/strava-features-chat/route-not-shown-on-heatmap/m-p/13444 (9 months ago) and https://communityhub.strava.com/t5/strava-features-chat/personal-heatmap-some-ebike-activities-are-no-longer-showing-as/td-p/27782.  I tried editing and re-saving one activity that I knew was missing, but it did not appear (at least not within 5 minutes). Even if this did work, it is not practical to do this for each of my ~400 activities.This is a key subscription feature. I

Greetings! It is not easy to find where to post or where to get help. Hopefully someone has some guidance. I use Strava for cycling probably 95% of the time but one time I went hiking about 3 months ago and decided to record it. Now whenever I open the app to record it starts with hiking and no matter how many times I switch it to biking it never stays there on subsequent rides. Any ideas? Fixes? Thanks! Also a direct contact to Strava would be nice too. 

Good afternoon,I am trying to use my Garmin 55 watch for track every lap on a karts race. I always forgot to press the "back buttom", so I end up always with the wrong paces and distances.Is there any feature that allows the Garmin to record the lap every time I pass the starting/same point?Cheers guys, appreciate your response.

My segment doesn’t appear in the general classification. Strava tells me that I hide the start and end of my ride. I want to change that but I can’t. I only have the possibility to keep the hiding mode on 200meters or more. Do someone know how I can desactivate that ?

Hello, all of my yearly totals are incorrect.  It has been this way for a couple weeks now.  Is this a known issue?

I had set up a couple default bike settings for 'Mountain bike ride' and for 'E-Mountain Bike Ride'. After getting a new bike and swapping that bike out for the previous one as the default bike for 'E-Mountain Bike Ride', many of my activities that had the previous default bike associated with them had the bike removed and the drop down to select a bike appeared on those rides. It seems there is a bug with loosing the associated bike on activities when you change your default bike for a given activity.

I’m just getting into running but today on the treadmill I did a 3.2 mile run/walk, but my watch does not count accurate miles when i’m running on the treadmill so i added a manual activity. I put in the time and distance but when I check my best efforts i don’t get credit for anything from the 400m all the way to the 5k. I was wondering if it was because it is a manual activity or something else.

Hi! I am joining my first 16-kilometer race this weekend, and would just like to know: what is 10 miles converted to kilometers exactly in Strava? A quick Google calculation says it's 16.0934 km, but there's also a Strava route page that associates 10 miles with 16.2 kilometers. Just want to make sure that my race this weekend will be logged under 10-mile personal best. Thanks!

Dear Strava-Team.I recently had the issue of not noticing that i forgot to restart my paused roade bike ride, becase i obviously did not tap the "continue" button on my mobile app correctly. And since the small icon at the top edge of the cellphone screen (circle-icon notification) is the same when the app is paused as it is when it's recording i did not figure the status of the mobile app correctly. My fault in the firtst place. I think it could be helpful if the icon would point out the different status of the app by showing a differet icon. It already does when "auto pause" is applied. Maybe you could find a solution for this rare issue, even if i know most riders record with a different device, but mobile/cell phone, it would be a big help for app recordings. My best regards,Daniel aka Yung Ullrich 🌹

Hi guys, The problem is my training record title is in russian language even though the mobile-phone language is English.What I had tried that didn't help (new records still on russian) - Change language on phone and change back to English - Delete Strava and install again - Set English in web StravaPhone: iPhone xr, ios 16.6.1, but It reproduces on other ios also  

How about driving detection? I finished a hike and I'm tired, so forget to turn Strava off. To make matters worse I c can never figure out how to crop the route. My solution is to just delete the activity. Not optimal. 

There should be an option when viewing the map to not have to see other peoples pictures and the "see this location" option. Let us turn that feature off through filters.

Update from Strava July 2, 2024: Hello! Thanks to all who have commented and provided feedback. We're listening, and we recently made an update that will improve the accuracy of Challenge leaderboards that contain walk and hike activities. We know leaderboard integrity matters and we will continue to iterate on improvements. Could I also flag up a (possible) issue with the challenge leaderboards? Some of the challenges seem to have implausible achievements that do not tally with profile data. For example, in the February run climb challenge there are several athletes with tens of thousands of metres of climbing at the top of the leaderboard. These figures don't correlate at all with the activities recorded in open profiles and I thought I would flag it up.
