Strava Features Chat

 Hey everyone, I've been using strava for a while and love the system. However for a while I've noticed top x% on the leaderboard.Is this just a heading saying that if you rank high enough this is where the leader board shows the number and who's on top, or is this something else?I've googled it in many ways to find out what this means but can't seem to find anything on it. Does anyone know what top x% means?Thanks

I've created a group challenge, but some people are unable to join without signing up for a free trial. The challenge currently has 9 members, so the participant limit isn’t the issue, and some of the new members haven't used up their 2 free group challenge slots.Could someone help explain why this is happening and how I can resolve it?

Hello.  I have been using Strava for over two years already and I find it to be a great community and tool to meet athletes and to improve sport performance. I do have one comment though. it seems like when you are going through the activities and you are trying to get kudos, the activity distance and metrics are on top of the picture, but scrolling down to give kudos actually makes it difficult to see the metrics. I believe it could be better if Kudos and metrics are on the same line below the activity picture or map. It would help realize the progress and give kudos for actual progress. for instance: when I scroll on my phone to give kudos I miss the info of the activity.  I put myself as an example. Does anyone have an idea on how long it takes Strava to come back when you raise a ticket on customer support? I issued one over 5days ago and not had any response.Thank-you

I have had an active Strava subscription for years. A few days ago, I changed my password. Now when I log in (using the s  as me email address), it shows me as being on a 30-day free trial, does not have my followers/following, etc. I can’t figure out how to get into my actual account. I’ve tried resetting the password again, deleting then re-downloading the mobile app, using the Strava website instead of the app, and nothing works. How can I regain access to my account? Thank you.

I also (as part of my active recovery) log any lawn bowls games I play, however the shoe 'brand' isn't listed.Rather than choosing 'Unbranded' Could an 'Other' be added that just uses the Nickname Value when specified as the active shoe used for an activity.If not, could the following be added as selectable items – first one is the one I want to use, but should other bowlers want to do the same I've included other key brands.HenseliteDrakes PrideTaylorAero

Hello,before the latest "update" in the android app, there was a posibility to generate a random route based on length, surface, elevation beginning at your current location.Now you get routes chosen from public availlable routes made by strava users.I used the "old" way very often to discover new routes, but now this is no longer possible.Why was this changed? Can an option be provided to choose whether you want to use the routes publicly available from other users or let strava generate one for you ?very disapointed in the new routes "generation" in maps at the moment, the old one was much beter regards,Bart

I run a weekly cycling club that currently gets somewhere in the ballpark of 30-60 attendees during the summer. We are at the point where word of mouth is more than enough to get folks in for the rides, and now we just want to be sure that people know our ride expectations before showing up. Right now, I have our Club on Strava set to private and mention that folks will be added after their first ride and redirect them to our IG or email if they would like to join us. With that, I'm able to ensure that people know safety information, etiquette and our average speed before they just show up to our meeting spot. With that said, people don't seem to read the description and I'm getting a *lot* of join requests from randoms throughout the week. It makes it hard to distinguish from the real people we've vetted. Is there anything in addition to keeping the group set to private that I can do to ensure we're hidden from global search? 

More of an annoyance than anything. Uploaded the same activity form my Edge and Watch. Deleted one, but the one I kept shows a “2nd Fastest” time on segments where it is actually my PR (it had picked the other activity as the “PR”). Does it correct at any point? 

Hi I have an issue, I’m using app RocketJourney and I need to add my trainings with Strava, but when I trie to link Strava I want to do by my google account (as I sign in in Strava) but there is a warning “Blocked access, error 493: disallowed _ useragent”

Hi, for me it is unnecessary to get 3 route-suggestions while discovering the map with the app. They block the view, particularly with the text-box at the bottom (almost in the middle of the screen). I don't use it and I find it irritating that I can not make it disappear. It is only possible to change to segment suggestions instead. It would be wonderful to add the option to show non of them or be able to tap on the map and enjoy my heatmap on fullscreen without route suggestions and the menu-bars. It would make it easier to discover the map.

What have you done to the content of Segments on Maps? There is hardly any segments showing up any more! Why can't I get to see all the segments there is? Segments is very much the reason why I am a subscriber. When you take away the possibility to explore and find new segments there really isn't much meaning in staying on as a subscriber!Please reverse it back to the old setup, where all segments was visible on the Explore Segments page!

Every time I try to put the name '**bleep**' in a comment I get an error.It only seems to happen with this particular name. 

If you link Garmin AND Strava,then Garmin, for example an Edge 830, will sync STRAVA live segment to Garmin device with statistical data, like PRs, Leaderbord, etc. But, It sync ONLY Strava activity results where the Privacy set to "everyone"."followers" "only me" results are NOT synced to Garmin. Why??? I understand that other than "everyone" results and activities are NOT shown to everyone on Strava, because of privacy... and "follower" only to followers. But If I (me directly) set a link between Garmin and Strava to share content/data, then I personally and intentionally AUTHORIZE Strava to give the data to Garmin Connect (who I think polls it via api-api sync). Why Strave does NOT share these data to Garmin during backend system communications?!?It's not about privacy, because both "side" are "me" and additionally I give my authorization. So, Strava...what is the reason behind?!?

I have created a route and not all the mile markers show up? ie: mile markers 1-10 show up correctly, yet then the next marker on the map is 15? How do I get my map to show all mile markers?

Is there some way to announce publically that I intend to do a workout involving xyz (eg running 2x10km at pace 4:15 starting at x) to see if anyone joins?

Why does my Strava shift to time and hide the tracking while on ? How do I resolve this it’s a problem while cycling I cannot check the data .  

 The PR badge does not appear on my best 10k run even though it is listed as the best effort.  

In a period when globally things are not necessarily going extremely well, sports in general and cycling included could be a way to bring closer people from different countries, facilitating establishment of friendships and collaborations between individuals or groups that could end up organizing joint events, meeting or even hosting each other when riding abroad. Hello everyoneTo end our club ride every week, we finish/sprint in a 300m segment. Known problem is that the average speed is sometimes higher than the max speed for some rides due to GPS accurancy, so that not the fastest rider that day gets the fastest time on the segment (or even the KOM).So i was thinking that Strava could introduce different types of segments. All current segments are in fact average speed (= best time on segment) segments. But for sprint segements, all what matters is the topspeed. So the leaderboard on sprint segments would be based on the GPS Top speed somewhere during the distance of the segment. That would end many discussions about KOM's and faulty average speeds on straightforward 300m segments 

Hello!Are there any deadlines for the process of resolving tickets with segments matches? I've already created support request #2946488 yesterday (25th june 2024), but there was no activity since then. Basically no notification on email (no notification in the app), no change of ticket status, no change of priority.All this create impression that support activity is basically abandoned, and is a bit concerning.
