I did a run this morning and used my Forerunner 245 to track the run. The run involved some walking and some stopping but my run uploaded to Strava and took the "Moving Time" time/pace and splits. I had to change the activity type to "Race" in Strava to show the Elapsed Time, correct pace and correct splits that were shown in Garmin Connect - if that makes sense 🙂 A couple of others who I ran with who also use Garmin devices had their runs uploaded to Strava and it shows the data as per Garmin and they hadn't changed their activity to "Race" in Strava. Is there a setting in Garmin and/or Strava that transfers and shows the total data without me having to change the activity to "Race" in Strava?

Hi I used to create new route on Strava mobile app. But it seems it’s no longer possible. When I go to my profiles / routes, existing routes are displayed, but I can’t find how to create a new one.  I’m using the last app version 309.0.0, and my subscription is active. Any idea on what’s happening? Has the creating route function been removed from the iOS mobile app ? Thanks anybody for helping.

Hello Everyone,To preface this, i am very new to working with APIs so have been trying to follow multiple tutorials...Im sure this topic has been discussed before, but i cannot find my situation and am hoping someone can help me...So...I have followed the instructions on authorization Iincluding using the correct read_all in the scope that trips a lot of people up.I am able to exchange the code for an access token, and the retrieve all of my activities - no problems - Great stuff!I save the token to a json file, opening and checking the expiry each time i make a new call.The problem arises 6 hours later - i need to use the refresh token to get a new access token - which i (seemingly) do without issue, i make the request and recieve back the new access token (and update my saved json file)- but i can no longer retrieve all of my activites.Am i doing something wrong? do i need to include something when requesting my new access

I would like the option to sort my activities by day of the week. This would be useful because I could compare my routine and habits over longer periods of time easily. For example, I recently wanted to know how many weeks in a row I had run 6 miles on Monday. It could also be used to find patterns, for example if I often skip or modify a workout on one day. This feature would be easy enough to implement because the date of the activity is already saved

Hi all ..has anyone ever had 'couldn't load photo ' when trying to upload a profile pic ???

Pilates exists as an activity type, but not in the "Sport" dropdown on My Activities, so I can't go back and find entries that I've made for pilates activities.(by the way, the instructions here on how to file a bug report are conflicting and very confusing.) 

When uploading indoor activity data like running (indoor) or biking (indoor) to Strava, we can add detailed speed data to the FIT file (in the Record section), but it is ignored. It is also visible on the site https://developers.strava.com/docs/uploads/ that speed data isn't processed by Strava for activity uploads. Detailed distance data can be added, but speed data is not derived from the distance values either.I understand that Strava doesn't need detailed speed data for activities with GPS data, but for indoor activities, our app users would like to see their speed in Strava. Wouldn't it be nice to add the interpretation of speed data for non-GPS activities, or derive the speed from the detailed distance data?

A recent iOS app update seems to have made it harder to manage my downloaded route maps.Previously in Maps > Saved > Saved Routes, I could see which routes were downloaded via a small icon against each listed route. You could also download them from the listing view by tapping that icon.Now though, I have to tap to view  an individual route to be able to see if it is downloaded.As I have a lot of Saved Routes this makes it very difficult to manage those I want downloaded whereas before it was relatively easy.Two solutions I can see for this:1. Restore the downloaded icon on the listing view2. In Maps > Saved add a new item “Downloaded Routes” that lists only the routes that you have downloaded to your device.Idea 2 would be really handy as when you are out and about to start a hike or ride, if you have a lot of Saved Routes it can take a while to find the one you are about to start. Hi all, is there an external tool that I can use to revise a GPS track and re-import it back to Strava? For some reason my GPS watch lost signal for a few miles on a run. So it shows a straight-line on the map, and the mileage is messed up. I was following a well established trail and the track was correctly recorded on my return trip. So the location data is available. Of course I won't be able to recover the lap times but that's fine. Thanks in advance.

Using iPhone 8+ . Starting a bike ride I see my heart rate and all the details I want. After a bit the screen changes to a map! I can’t find where I go where I can leave the HR live and keep tracking all the details live! My phone is not doing it because I stopped it from timing out, but the app??? Help

Hiya! my polar flow and Strava seem to be connected (through partners in polar) but data is not syncing and device does not appear in Strava  any suggestions on how to resolve this?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps without success

I'm not getting heart rate data into Strava and I can't figure out why / how. I've done 2 rides now, starting once in Samsung health and once in Strava. Health always records my heart rate as I ride, but the data isn't getting to Strava app. If I start my ride in strava app, I get no heart rate data at all. Everything seems logged in / sync'd, etc correctly. Any ideas?

New to the forum, apologies if this has been asked and addressed already. As a cyclist there are lots of segments around and they're a great goal to aim for. However with cycling would it be possible for segments to be separated, so those on MTB, Gravel and road bikes would have their own respective leader boards and KOMs/QOMs?

Here is bug in Strava that I find mildly annoying and hope that Strava can fix it. I often take pictures during my trail runs. Just before uploading pictures to Strava I often do a quick touch-up that includes improving contrast, doing a color correction, applying a filter, etc. As a result, in Strava all those photos end up showing a wrong time - not when I took those photos but when I edited them. The correct approach would be to take the time from EXIF data if it is available. Strava already reads EXIF data to get the GPS coordinates of locations where the pictures were taken, so perhaps it should do the same for the timestamps.

For some reason the View Flyby link on my actvities page has not been displayed for the past couple weeks. It had been working fine previously. Even when I set ALL my privacy settings to "Everyone" including the Flybys privacy setting, it's not showing up. Running through Chrome browser, Windows OS, desktop... blah, blah, blah.Any Clues?
