There are a lot of Pro/Am Racing car and motorcycle athletes on Strava, and want to share the physicality of our sport with the rest of the Strava community. Please add Auto Racing as an activity type 🏆🏁🏎️️

Excessive notifications since last update

Please, Strava, stop with the new “Kudos on logging an activity” and “your activity is ready” BS notifications. Or let me turn off in the settings Strava system notifications. I only want notifications for when a follower comments on a ride or when they (another human) gives me a kudos. This has gotten way out of hand.

A hidden area should be hidden always. 🙂I go trough hidden areas at a ride sometimes. But hidden areas will be hidden at the end or start of a ride. It should be hidden at always for privacy.

Is Strava Flybys not working?

I'm trying to view Flybys for today's (and prior) run(s). I'm not seeing anything load (see image below) and I'm seeing a unicode type character referenced in the orange section where I assume the route name would be. I do have Flybys privacy set to allow Everyone to view as well, in case that information is helpful.     Thank you!!

Having other athletes authenticate your app to get more information on their activities

I found this conversation here where a man named John said that he was able to bypass the limitations of the getClubActivitiesById endpoint by having people authenticate his app, allowing him full access to their activity details at the level they authorize. Is there any validity to this, or do you guys have any ideas as to what this would look like? I don't think that them authenticating your app would give you more access to their activities through the getClubActivitiesById endpoint, given there's a response data limitation there to such few fields. Theoretically, how would I get the extra details? Would I have to use the "List Athlete Activities" endpoint, but that endpoint doesn't have any extra parameters for the request URL? In an attempt to do this myself, I sent them a link like this: https://www.strava.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=<myClientId>&response_type=code&redirect_uri=http://localhost/exchange_token&approval_prompt=force&scope=activity:read_

Features mismatch between mobile application and web site

I purchased Strava subscription for the first time. On web site there is end-of-year discount for yearly subscription, on mobile app there is not, so I subscribed using website. Frist what I did was to join training plan using web site. Very soon I discovered that the same plan is not visible on my mobile app. Than I created group challenge on mobile app. Of course, I discovered that this time group challenges are not visible on website. It looks like significant lack of basic communication between teams developing mobile app and website. Very strange and unprofessional.

Unable to change scope of my api application

I couldn't figure out how to authenticate my account to change the scope of my api project does anyone know what im doing wrong. I started from using this https://developers.strava.com/docs/getting-started/ and then went to this url http://www.strava.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=[REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_CLIENT_ID]&response_type=code&redirect_uri=http://localhost/exchange_token&approval_prompt=force&scope=readbut obviously with my client id and it sent me here which is not what's supposed to work.I was just wondering if anyone knows what i did wrong or how to change my scope of my api application?

Import .csv files from Garmin

After deleting an activity by mistake , I have found that it is impossible to manually import the csv file from Garmin connect to strava , to reinstate the deleted activity. Is there a solution for this?Many thanks Andy

Athlete Capacity - 999 reaching limit in one week

Hi!First of all, congratulations on all the great work you are doing; it's amazing! We are delighted to be integrated with Strava, as it greatly enhances our user experience.We are managing well with the rate limits, but the one that concerns us the most is the Athletes Capacity. Currently, we already overcome 50% of our maximum capacity, and we are still in the Beta phase. This makes us a bit anxious because we don't want to provide a poor user experience for our athletes when we reach that limit.I apologize if this isn't the appropriate channel for addressing this "issue", please tell if we should follow any other path.Best regards,

Synch strava to Garmin error code 2050

Hi, when I create a route in Strava, Starred, I find  the route on my Garmin gps under Strava routes but I cannot start it. I get the message “trouble connecting to the server error code 2050. Anyone any idea ? Ilse

start timer on a ride

I would like to see if its possible to delay the start of timer when starting a ride. With cold weather starting in the northeast i find using gloves j need to wait to put one on until i hit the start button. it would be nice not to have the timer running before i actually start pedaling.

Getting an Error 500 of club activities requests

Hi there.Since this morning I have been getting Error 500 from my calls to get the club activities. It has been running smoothly for the past 22 days but suddenly today I am facing issues without any changes to programming, code or how it is used. I have checked all the access codes etc and they are all correct.This is the most important few days for the project which finishes on Christmas day, so I really need to find a fix for whatever has happened

Clubs endpoint documentation update

Can you please update the clubs documentation at https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-Clubs. The data returned does not match the docs and there is some limit to the pagination effecting the number of activities that can be returned. Many users ran into both these issues and posted on the old Google groups.Hopefully when you document these it will become clear this endpoint needs to be improved as it's currently of very limited use.

Is there any way to GET Fitness & Freshness?

I subscribed to Premium mostly for the extra features. But I find them not very user friendly.  I've searching on how to display my Fitness & Freshness score somehow easily, so I can be reminded about it on a daily basis.Since is no available via API, would anyone here know where I can find an alternative?Thanks

Compare matched activities in same way as flybys

I would like to be able to compare my historical run activities in flyby mode. In the same way I can see other runners in flybys, I would like to see my matched activities.Is that possible today?/Peter

Convenient way to use Fitness & Freshness?

I subscribed to Premium mostly for the extra features. But I find them not very user friendly. I have to either go to the browser and find the page, or open the app and navigate a few steps to find F&F. Would there be any way to find my fitness score or effort via  widget or notification or even API request?The app could give some daily report to help you train more or less. Counting kilometers is really not useful.Thanks!
