Hey there! I’ve noticed something a bit odd with the update activity webhook. It seems to be reporting the wrong sport type when updating it. Let me give you a few examples: If I try to update the sport type from “Run” to “Mountain Bike Ride,” the webhook just reports “Ride” instead of “Mountain Bike Ride.” Similarly, if I try to update the sport type from “Alpine Ski” to “Trail Run,” the webhook just reports “Run” instead of “Trail Run.” It seems like for variations of the same sport type (like “Run” and “Trail Run” or “Ride” and “Mountain Bike Ride”), the webhook always ends up reporting the base sport type. Is this a known issue? I’d love to know if there’s a fix for this. 

I’m using the API to update some fields: name, description, commute… this seems to be working well.  I wanted to do a quick validation though so I take the response detailed activity data returned and validate that what I was expecting to have updated actual is updated.  For name and description this works well… and for setting commute to TRUE this also works well… however, when setting commute to FALSE… the response data responds with TRUE… that said, when I actually go to the activity online I can tell that commute has been set to FALSE.  Happy to provide more details to troubleshoot.   And to clarify I’m talking about using an UpdatableActivity: https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-models-UpdatableActivity

I am working on a statistics project and would like to pull the leaderboard data for a recent challenge, like the ‘May 5K x Brooks Challenge’ Challenge. I also want to pull the gear used by the top # participants in the challenge. I did not see how to accomplish this with the AI and was wondering if it’s even a possibility. Thank you!

Planning on creating a Club for a work event and want to be able to download the members’ data in order to easily see who has been participating frequently, and how far we collectively have moved. How can I download this data? Thanks!

Hello Strava Community,I hope everyone is doing great! I’m reaching out for help with an issue I’ve been facing when trying to share my Strava activities directly to Instagram. Despite following all the troubleshooting steps provided in the forums, I’ve had no luck resolving the problem. Here’s a summary of what I’ve already tried:Both Strava and Instagram apps are updated to the latest versions. I’ve logged out and back in on both apps. I’ve deleted and reinstalled both apps to reset their connections.Unfortunately, when I attempt to share an activity from Strava, Instagram doesn’t appear as a sharing option. When I view the 3D animation of  activities in Strava ,the POIs were normal,but when I shared the flyover to instagram,the POIs disappeared.I have set all the settings about privacy to everyone.Can anyone help me?

Export: comments.csv missing comment ID and associated activity/post/flag/… IDWhen I export my Strava data, one of the files is `comments.csv`. However, there are only two columns in that CSV: `Comment Date` and `Comment`. No `Comment ID`, `Associated Entity Type` and `Associated Entity ID`. So basically, just a wall of dated text. Almost perfectly useless.How can I get the comments in their original context?

The virtual segment Aple du Zwift doesn’t show the correct data. The distance of 12,17 km seems to be correct but the elevation (729m) and the grade (-0,8%) are totally wrong. At the moment, this is a downhill segment. 😄 But elevation should be around 1.000 meters and the grade is 8.5%. The elevation profile is also absolutely wrong.Who can fix this? 

Hello,We're seeing a change in behavior since yesterday, where uploading a TCX file to the /uploads endpoint with an activity_type="rowing", no longer sets the Sport correctly on the activity in Strava. It is set to 'Workout' instead of 'Rowing'.Did anything change on the Strava side related to activity_type?Thanks for the help.

Hi, anyone else finding the Strava App freezing when viewing Progress tab and scrolling through past the Training Log and hangs showing April month’s recap? It sometimes just show “Loading” but I have to exit the app and start again.  I just want to track the relative effort from the past weeks and used to see it on this page but that seems to have stopped for some weeks. Just tried logging out from the App, remove App, restart phone, get app, log in, restart phone but that didn’t resolve it.  Any ideas? 

I apologize if this has been asked before but this notification is downright useless and distracting. I get it every Monday morning and it’s been annoying for a while. I’m not sure which category it falls under. Unfortunately, I have already dismissed it this week so cannot quote the exact message but in my notifications list I see this “You kept it consistent this week. Kudos to you! Tap to see your Relative Effort score, and keep it up this week”. Would it be under the Progress Completion category? Does anybody know?Thank you!!!

The pace computed by Strava is incorrect because I swam continuously. The Iphone is partially immersed… Why  these non existing stops during à continuous Swimming ? Thanks a lot for helping 

I have just completed a cycle - of 56km, but there seems to have been a GPS glitch and Strava isn’t showing the whole route and is showing the wrong distance (22km). Is it possible to correct this somehow?

So since I did Manchester marathon a few weeks ago I've noticed every activity that uploads no longer has a map showing under it. It just shows the run and basic details but there is never a map to view either on the summary screen or when I go into the activity.   Everyone else's maps appear as normal on my feed but just not mine, I've checked all settings and can't see anything obvious and I certainly haven't changed anything and in the past the naps have always been there. Any ideas ?? 

I record my walk as a run on my watch as it doesn’t have a walk option. When I have finished it I change it to a walk on my phone. I just noticed that it is being added to my run total for the week in my club that records runs so I have moved up on the list but I have only walked and not run today. I have deleted the walk activity but it is still showing the extra miles on the club stats board. I don’t want people thinking I am cheating as someone in the group has been saying mean things about me so I’m worried they will say I did this on purpose. 

It is good to see that Strava is taking steps to reduce this the abuse of ebike riders dominating leader boards - primarily for older rider categories (in my subjective observation). I know a number of these riders and AI and other automated techniques are indeed having a good impact, but by no means solving the problem. An equally powerful way would be to place emphasis on riders - Every top 10 rider on every leaderboard age category needs to consciously confirm that they are NOT using an eBike (for example, A pop-up notice requirement would require a confirmation before saving the activity). My guess is that many riders simply forget to list as an eBike ride, but there are many that simply abuse the system. Requiring them to formally state that they are NOT using an eBike, is a powerful psychological driver. Also, once this is done, peer pressure would take place given that any mis-classified ride would then be intentional - Currently it is too easy to say “OH, I forgot”, or “I wa

The app is updating me when I stop (pause) and start (resume),but it’s not updating me on the kilometers and pace I’m running.

I forgot to turn off the Garmin after a 3 mile walk. Due to inaccuracies the GPS still records distance over time, even though the watch was sitting on my desk, so after 11 hours it gave me an  18 mile distance total. I knew how to trim the invalid distance off my log record, but the activity still shows a ribbon for my longest walk, which is not correct, my longest walk was 12 miles two years ago. I don’t know where to look for records of my longest distances or how to correct that it has the invalid 18 miles as my longest walk. I realize that it could be that it just takes time for the corrected data to automatically change what is my longest distance, so maybe this will fix itself.

After completing an activity, in the past you could go to the Results-Segments list and see all the segments completed; where you could then click on a segment and see it highlight on the map, not just show the individual segment by itself on its own map view.  How can you see the segment highlighted within the full activity map?  The goal is to be able to see exactly where the segment lies within the whole map of the ride/run activity you completed?  Showing you only that segment view by itself doesn’t do much good in trying to see where it was within your activity.  It looks like Strava swapped this out at the same time that added “Best Efforts”, where you don’t need a best effort list on a ride where each route is different and best effort means very little.  

How to use api to count miles or kilometers of every user in given club? Thank you in advance.

I have used my Garmin watch to track all activities for over a year. It has always included heart rate data.This week, I'm tracking runs as usual using my watch, but heart rate data isn't included on my strava summary (it shows heart rate in my garmin app). All other data from my run syncs to strava.I have checked the settings and have consented to sharing health data.How do I get strava to show/sync this data again!? And why has it suddenly stopped?

I'm developing a Web site. The site offers users to connect to Strava. It works well. However, many of my users use the Strava app and don't even remember their credentials. I would like the oauth2 flow to use the Strava app, not the Strava site for approval. Is there a way to do it?
